Hotel ILUNION Bilbao

Great location. Not far from the bus station, and the Guggenheim is an easy walk (that'swhy you're here, probably!) Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Clean, good-sized rooms, great staff, very helpful, especially the lady who checked us in. Would recommend.

Had a pleasant stay at Illusion in Bilbao the week of 7/9/25. The staff at the hotel was not very friendly. Asked for assistance with our TV and were told to "keep trying". Went back the next day and we were told that someone would be up shortly to help and no-one ever came. Breakfast was good, no smiles at all from staff when requesting help. Language barrier was a problem. During our Thursday and Friday nigh stays there was the thump-thump of music playing at the disco on the street until the early hours of the morning which interrupted sleep. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are very clean. Location is excellent. Would stay there again with the hope that service improves with feedback.

City hotel in a good location. Close to some sights. Room on the 10th floor was quiet and quite large. Unfortunately, in the age of laptops, tablets and smartphones, there are too few sockets. The toilet in the bathroom wobbled and was correspondingly loud when you sat on it. In addition, there was always a bad smell in the bathroom. Basically everything was ok - but there's room for improvement... So I would consider it a bit expensive for what was offered!

Fantastic hotel with lovely staff and friendly service. Amazing location for seeing the city of Bilbao. Easy to walk everywhere including San Mamés stadium, Guggenheim and the old town is 20 mins on foot. Airport bus stops just round the corner. Loads of wee bars and places to eat right outside.||Only thing missing was a coffee machine in the room. Very comfortable and would definitely stay again.

They constantly have problems with wifi, and the breakfast is quite bad, it lasts from 7 30 till 10 30, but starting from 9 45 almost nothing remains, only 1 coffee machine is working, and even it didn't work one morning. Also there is a meagre choice of food in the morning. Additionally, they have specified that they have parking, but it is really small, and we didn't get a spot.

We stayed in this hotel in June 2024 for the weekend as a short trip to Bilbao from London. The hotel is beautifully decorated, we had a room for 3 people which was spacious and very clean. The staff were friendly, and the location was great it was well connected & the area felt safe in the evening. Would highly recommend!

I am vegan and my husband is vegetarian and the breakfast was amazing! Andoni and the chef Manuel were so caring and attentive and made special items for us! They made us feel at home! The hotel is well located and we could walk to major attractions or take the tram across the street.

Perfect hotel for our 3 days away in Bilbao, we che led in 7pm and was fretted by 2 reception staff, our Spanish is not great so asked to communicate in English.|We were given our Room|Keys and explained about breakfast times and wi-fi.|Upon entering the hotel|It’s modern and very clean and tidy, reception area is quiet with plenty of lounge areas.|The room itself is well equipped and was clean and tidy , the room has a nice coffee area only thing I’d critique on that is could have more pods and sugar, but you only have to ask reception and you can have more.|Mini fridge with complementary waters nice touch.’|There is a room safe to store your valuables.|Bathroom was spotless with plenty of towels and all bathroom essentials, toothbrush, soap, make up removal kit and more.|Bed was comfortable and linen was nice and fresh, pillows were also comfortable and enough of them.|Breakfast was excellent and had a varied Choice, you can see the effort is put in here.|My wife and daughter especially enjoyed the fresh fruit.|The breakfast staff were top notch and probably the most welcoming of all the staff.|Rooms are cleaned and refreshed if you want it dine, it is a eco friendly hotel so nice to see the effort being made in that department.|Hotel is close to|Lots of immunity’s , lots of choice of places to eat although you really need book in restaurants as it gets busy quickly.|Plenty of near by shops and lidil in the next street to buy bits you want for your room.|All in all a very good experience and would recommend and use again in future
