HOTEL IMPERIA

We picked this hotel on last minute on Booking preference "free parking, pets allowed, 24h reception". After booking we got message in Bulgarian with several rules, including leaving car keys on reception for parking and dog charge is 70 BNG. Which is extra 70% to the cost of the room, not even counting breakfast (paid separately). That is bit too much for one sleepover in off-season. So we cancelled and judging by other reviews it was good call.

The hotel is unique and luxury looking. The rooms are very well cleaned. The staff is friendly. The location of the hotel is nice and the centre is near.

WORST HOTEL EVER. STAY AWAY! The rooms are not as described, they are very small and filthy. Everything is made out of plastic and cheap broken materials. The shower is above the toilet with a space not bigger than 1 square meter. The beds were dirty, full of stains and the rooms smelled very bad. The staff is not professional and there is no one that speaks english or any other language then Bulgarian. When we got to the room we immediately wanted to cancel our reservation and go to another hotel. They refused our cancellation and did not want to give our money back. (Even so the policy of the hotel states that we can cancel at anytime with no hidden fees.) Booking.com also didn't understand why they did not want to give our money back, but because the payment did not went through their system there was nothing they could do. We asked to speak to a manager or the boss, but also this request was denied. Because of the unsafe environment and the hostile staff we had to leave the hotel without our money. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM IN THIS HOTEL! There are many other nice hotels in Varna for the same price!

The photos of the room looked nothing like the ones on booking.com. There was hair from previous guests in the shower, and you had to shower over the toilet. The bathroom door couldn’t be closed either. Booking.com stated that we could cancel at any time, but we didn’t get any money back. We didn’t stay there for even an hour and got no refund. The hotel is a scam, and I advise everyone against staying here. The website mentioned that the reception spoke English, German, Bulgarian, and French, but that wasn’t true at all. Everything was done via Google Translate. Do not book! Just stay away!

This is the second time I have been in this hotel and nothing has changed, still perfect location, still perfect service. I would like to say thank you to the three ladies which resolved my issue with wrong booked dates. I have made a mistake with the dates but the ladies did all possible and impossible to change them and make us feel comfortable and having a great time while there.

Well decorated , location is very good, Limited car park , unfortunately floor covered with carpet inside the rooms which doesn't look good

Nice hotel at the center in Varna. Lobby design is something :) rooms are ok, bathroom could be bigger, shower and toilet is something like integrated together :) receptionist was very polite and welcoming.
