Beautifully presented hotel right on the beachfront. The rooms are very quiet and peaceful. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning is lovely with a variety of options. Highly recommended.

Great location along the waterfront promenade, and slightly faded old world charm. Limited service (desk closes at 5 pm). Good breakfast in spacious dining area. Rooms are nice, but mattress and pillows not very good. Bathroom seems recently renovated.

We spent 2 nights at the hotel Imperial in October 2014. It is a really cute hotel with quaintly decorated, charming rooms.|| The location of the hotel is perfect, right at one end of the Standtpromenade ; the pier is a two minutes walk from the hotel. Just behind the hotel (not the sea face) there is a bus stop from where one can take buses to go to the other places on Rugen Island. Moreover, the hotel is only a 7-10 minute walk from the station. ||The rooms are actually quite big compared to other hotels in Europe and even have balconies. Our balcony, though not facing the sea directly, had a partial sea view through a line of trees which was more than what we had expected! The room came with free wi-fi which was of a decent speed, however, there is a limit on the GB. We even had drinks from the mini bar which was priced only a little higher than normal stores and not exorbitant as in most hotels.||The hotel provides breakfast which is quite hearty with many options of fish which I liked since I'm a big fish eater. The Strandpromenade is lined with cafes and restaurants which provide many other options for meals. ||Last but not the least, I have to mention about the service. It was par excellence, specially Frau Krakow, who helped us with detailed directions to Jasmund National Park and Cape Arkona and also gave suggestions regarding restaurants and cafes whenever we asked for it. She was awesome! Rugen is beautiful and although it was raining intermittently during our stay there, it turned out to be one of the high points of our Germany trip.

Spent 4 nights on business in Binz last week and stayed in the Hotel Imperial. My single room was perfect - on the corner of the rear of the hotel with a lovely balcony which was sunny in the evenings when I returned from work. The room had windows on both corner so I was able to open both windows so the room was very cool so made it easy to sleep. The hotel is right on the front very close the pier. I was able to swim before breakfast and after work - perfect. Receptionist very helpful and friendly. Staff in the breakfast room also very welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel "Imperial" is a totally renovated, charming hotel dating back to "imperial times". It is comfortably set back from the Promenade of this splendid resort town--crossing the walk you have immediate, free access to the sandy, endless beaches of Binz. The hotel sports a spacious breakfast room with a garden view; breakfast is excellent and includes fish from the sea. From the balcony of our 3rd floor room we had a beautiful view across the pine trees marking the coast line to the beach; the room was not too large but spacious enough for an extended stay.||Binz is ideally located for drives to the limestone cliffs--not of Dover but of the island of Rügen--and to the tip of the island, Kap Arkona. In both instances long walks take you to these sights--no direct car access. And there are direct InterCity trains from major German cities for travelers without cars.
