I like to stop in Valladolid en route to the costas as it’s a beautiful city. I chose this hotel for a night, because the last one I used to stay at ( the Colon Plaza) has gone right down hill and therefore has lost my custom.|The reception area is as previous reviews have stated, absolutely gorgeous. The checkin was fairly quick once we had got over the language barriers.|I had room 218 a double and I had requested a room looking over the street. ( although I had not thought of all the noise from outside going on beyond 2 am). Certainly nothing the hotel can do about it. |Fortunately I had ear plugs , so a good nights sleep was had.|The room itself was clean and basic, with a fridge and some water in it, disappointingly, there was no tea and coffee facilities in the room, but again I carry my own.|I think the room needs some pictures up as it’s a bit bland and soulless, especially after seeing the wonderful reception area. ( just my opinion) the shower was good with lots of hot water. Breakfast times are good 7-11 but can be quite busy and I felt a bit squeezed in, also on the way out I noticed a couple having a cooked breakfast bacon and eggs! No one advised me this was available and there were no menus about.|Otherwise, the layout is quite plentiful.|The hotel is just round the corner from the square and it’s done up for Christmas, like the hotel. Valladolid certainly knows how to decorate for the time of year . Fabulous! |Checkout was fast and professional and I was able to leave my bags securely put away for a few hours whilst I wandered round the city.|Yes, In summing up overall, I would recommend and possibly return on my next visit, only this time ask for an inside room.

When visiting Valladolid you should 100% stay in the Imperial. It’s not your standard modern hotel, it has character and some nice period features. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Roberto, he was very friendly and took the time to show us all the best tourist attractions on a map. We had a lovely big room and a great selection at breakfast the next morning. The hotel is very clean, it doesn’t have parking but the car park is literally a two minute walk away from the front door. The hotel is pet friendly.

Lovely elegant hotel with excellent location a few steps from the Plaza Major but in a quiet street. Parking instruction were good and we were met by a lovely lady who explained how to return to the main Square and underground parking; you are able to stop outside the hotel and unload the luggage! |The executive twin room was spacious and comfortable and over looked the small street. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was good and clean! Lift to rooms. Breakfast was a little chaotic one day with one staff covering cooked breakfast and the bar, and the cooked eggs could have been a little better!! |The hotel is also pet friendly....a lovely 2 night stay! We would stay again....

Excellent location with everything in walking distance. Paloma sat down with us on arrival and pointed out the sights and recommendations for tapas and restaurants. Roberto on reception also very helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We were not disturbed by noise. Breakfast was included with fresh orange juice & eggs freshly cooked. Good experience and recommended.

The Hotel Imperial is truly an imperial hotel. I loved the elegance of the hotel. It was a step back in time. The location is excellent-about a half a block from the Plaza Mayor. Roberto at the front desk was so helpful. He made sure that we knew the highlights of the town and the best spots for tapas. We hope to come back someday soon.

Perfect location, cheap price, lady at check in was lovely. Man during the rest of the stay spoke no English and was rude. The room was very very small with a very small uncomfortable bed that is absolutely nothing like the photos they show you during booking. I booked a room with two beds, the reservation showed a nice room with two twin beds. I was given a very small room with one small bed. The bed was so bad that we ended up leaving early to stay at a different hotel with better beds. Yet they still charged us for the last night when we were given a room not what we reserved. I showed them the reservation photos and they said that was a different room.
