This hotel is a few minutes walk from the main Antwerp train station, just across a pedestrian square. Close by are an Albert Heijn supermarket, a medi-market, and a busy retail street. The room was clean but small with not much clearance between the end of the bed and the wall. It had a nice view of a big, lighted Ferris wheel. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot. Tram 24, which goes to the MAS museum, stops just steps away from the front door. The Indigo is about a mile from the old historic part of Antwerp but we’d chosen it because we were traveling by train. Unlike most mid-market hotels in Europe, breakfast is not included in the room rate. I’d forgotten this, having booked several months before, and was annoyed to find I had been charged €22 for a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice. My name was on a list in the breakfast room and there were no signs indicating that breakfast might not be included. My mistake, of course, but it put a damper on the stay. There is a Panos just across the street and it sells warm breakfast pastries.

I was excited to stay at his hotel after reading the wonderful reviews from other travelers. As I had high expectations, I was truly disappointed during my stay at this hotel. |First, the good- the location was excellent as it was close to the Antwerp train station, and was surrounded by plenty of restaurants and two supermarkets. The ladies at the reception were friendly and nice during check-in and out. ||And this is where the "good" ends. Being surrounded by restaurants also meant that anyone staying in rooms facing the street was guaranteed nights of no sleep. The noise was horrible and super loud, which went on well past midnight every single night, no exceptions. Anyone staying on that side of the hotel and is a light sleeper, please do not forget your earplugs. I asked the front desk about this and they just shrugged their shoulders. ||As another traveler had pointed out in their review, the rooms are dated and old. The unit door doesn't really close behind you when you enter, so remember to make sure that the door actually closes behind you for safety concerns. Upon entering the room after check-in, the bed was dirty with crumbs still on the duvet. The bathroom door handle also fell off as soon as I tried to turn the knob (and I don't have superhuman strength or anything). When housekeeping came, they took a look and just took the dirty duvet away without saying anything or cleaning the room again, which was puzzling. The bathroom was tiny, and paint was peeling off the ceiling. ||The lack of hot water in this hotel was also another letdown. I had to take a shower in nearly cold water. When I went to the front desk to report this, there were also other travelers reporting the same issue, so beware when you take showers, because you are not always guaranteed to have hot water. ||In conclusion, if you are a light sleeper, we would suggest another hotel due to the lack of soundproofing for this hotel. In addition, check doors in the rooms to make sure that the door knob/handle works.

Lovely hotel. Room was clean and well presented. Plenty of room for the two of us. The staff were incredible, on the day we arrived I fell and broke my ankle and had to be admitted to hospital for emergency surgery leaving my partner to fend for himself in Antwerp. We had originally only booked to stay 2 nights, but extended the stay due to my hospital stay. The staff were amazing about this and arranged this straight away. They took the time to make sure that my partner was comfortable during a difficult time and showed genuine concern for my wellbeing, and for that I would like to thank them. I’m now back in the UK recovering well. We will definitely be returning once I am well again.

My close friend and I stayed at the hotel on a reward night. Check in went smoothly, and we were even welcomed with a small chocolate. The reception staff were lovely, sweet, accommodating, and very helpful. They helped us with a late checkout, provided a new keycard when needed, and stored our bags after our stay.||The rooms are nicely decorated and give off a modern boutique hotel vibe. We stayed on the top floor in a room with a beautiful view of the train station. I wish we could have opened the windows a bit more, but I understand that this isn’t possible for security reasons.||The hotel is located near a busy street and shopping area, but we especially enjoyed the old centre and its surroundings. That part of town is about a 20 minute walk away, which was perfect for exploring the city.||The only small downside of our stay was that the shower never got truly hot, it was almost lukewarm.||We had a great stay and really enjoyed Antwerp! We would definitely return to this hotel.

A perfect hotel for a long weekend in Antwerp. The rooms are comfortable, ask for one at the rear if you want peace and quite because the hotel is on quite a noisy square. Very convenient for Antwerp Central Station, and only a short walk from Antwerp's excellent bars and restaurants.

Rating: 7.7/10 Summary: I would come back again for sure. Parking isn't available here in the traditional sense so I would reserve private parking somewhere for a better rate. The good: 👍 The front desk staff were so amazing. Especially night crew. Empathetic and understanding. 👍 Can connect your phone to the tv to stream. 👍 Walking distance to lots of things. 👍 Breakfast was pretty good! Eggs and bacon and lots of other hot options. 👍 The city view from the window was actually very pretty. The "not good, not bad" 👉 Rooms were a bit oddly shaped and not the most accommodating for large luggage. But it felt less like an oversight and more than in not their target customer. Fair enough. The not-so-good, 👎 Parking, or lack thereof was hard to navigate and really expensive nearby. Again, I could just not be their target customer.

A boutique hotel that met IHG (owner) standards. Room was large and comfortable. Lots of space to lay personal items including a very handy 8 inch ledge around much of the room. Missed at least a CNN International channel on the TV. Beds comfortable with great, flexible reading lights. Breakfast was an interesting buffet in a quirky appointed restaurant. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Really convenient (2-minute walk) to the Antwerpen-Centraal train station. 20+ minute walk to Grote Markt square in the old city.

My first time arrival at hotel Indigo Antwerp already gave me a claustrophobic feeling when I entered the minuscule dark lobby. After being checked in pleasantly enough I proceeded in the mini lift to room 406. After entering I noticed the door did not slam shut. I had to push the door to close it or pulling it shut when leaving. Very unsafe||After inspecting my pokey little room for gnomes as it was fit only for them. I could not find them though.|The things I found:||Partly sticky floor near the bed. My sneakers stuck to it.|Badly hoovered as I found bits including (horror) a nail.|No toilet brush in shower room|Stains on the wall next to the mirror|Slightly smelly shower room near toilet|No proper wardrobe to hang my clothes.|Very tired looking room||The next morning I asked for the duty manager but the new receptionist said there was no management in the hotel. Wow!!!|I do not like bothering front line staff with problems they cannot solve but I told her anyways. It seemed at least she cared but could not do anything as she had no authority.|The restaurant staff is very nice and even made eggs the way I like them although they only serve scrambled eggs. The gentleman was very kind to do this. This restaurant is independently owned and operated so has nothing to do with gnome hotel.||All in all I was appalled by the lacking standards and the price I had to pay ( €132 b&b ) for this experience.| |I have written an email to the CEO of Prem Hospitality Continental Europe so I am awaiting his answer.
