Yelp
This property is only a year and a half old. There are a few other Hotel Indigos in ATL that have been around longer. I stayed here because it was the hosting hotel for an event I was working. I only stayed one night-got in around 4pm and left the next morning at 9:30am. Don't worry, I still managed to do enough & see all of its property so I can write, confidently an accurate Yelp review. It is in the middle of downtown Atlanta, from the outside it's almost easy to miss. Look for the big silver/mirror sculpture and that will indicate you have arrived. The sign is not very obvious. My Uber driver passed it. Silver statue photographed below. Upon arrival, check in was very smooth and the service was incredible. One of the valet guys came running over to my Uber to help me with my luggage. I told him it wasn't necessary because I literally only had two bags and they were very light. He insisted and also insisted that I did not tip him. So kind. With a southern accent and all! The people checking me in were great as well. The only comment I might have about the check in process is that I had to ask all the questions, the information was not offered to me. I got a beautiful guest room suite which I was very happy about. My only sadness was that I was only staying for a night. It was like my own one bedroom apartment. Tons of space and a great view of downtown Atlanta. They have the shades that automatically open and close by the push of a button. They also have the option to opt out of the cleaning service, which I always choose to do. Photographed below. There were a few things missing that I wish that it had. I always like to have a microwave and refrigerator, because I never finish my food and I love eating leftovers. Don't judge. Also, I love to sleep in the hotel robes which they didn't have available. Of course, if I called down I'm pretty sure I could've gotten those things. It wasn't that big of a deal since I was only there one night. There is a safe, a TV equipped with many channels including HBO. The bed is incredibly comfortable. I hadn't had a good night sleep in many nights, and I slept like a baby here. I enjoyed that I could look outside and see downtown Atlanta and people watch while in my room. This hotel is a great location. Less than a mile away from Centennial Olympic Park, right across the street from a plaza, pharmacy, and bank. Many other hotels around as well which is a good sign, location wise.
While I was there, I did a lot of walking, I used the fitness center twice. Photograph below. It's a decent size for a hotel gym and all of the equipment was clean and appeared to be new. there was a lovely restaurant called Rays in the City that I got takeout from. I will do a separate review for them. I do suggest you try their food while you were there. Speaking of food, within the cost of my hotel stay I made sure I had breakfast included. The breakfast at their restaurant JP's, was absolutely amazing. Not just the food but the experience. I went there around 8:30 AM on a Saturday right after I checked out, there was only one other person in their dining and I was escorted to any table of my choice. As soon as I sat down my server brought me water, with no ice and coffee with steamed milk. Ever since my Africa trip, I always get coffee with steamed milk. I also hate water with ice. It's like he read my mind. Extraordinary. I order the two egg breakfast and it came out with sausage, rye toast, whipped butter, hot sauce, jam, and a delicious breakfast potato display of all different kinds of potatoes including my favorite, sweet potato. The way they cooked them was excellent. The presentation was beautiful as well. Photograph below. The checkout process was so simple I think it might have taken 10 seconds. They had already printed my bill and put it under my door before I even woke up. I returned the keys and I was on my way. Of course they asked if I wanted to drop my luggage, but I didn't have a lot, again so I declined. Such lovely people. I love the people in Atlanta. I met Pam and Timothy of the sales team casually in the elevator, they gave me their cards and said if I needed anything while I was there to please contact them. So kind, and great hospitality and customer service there. Also, when I was going to venture out, the people at the front desk were more than helpful to tell me where to go. Overall, I enjoyed this experience immensely. I have offered Hotel Indigo on Peachtree Street in Atlanta five star review, because they went out of their way make sure my 24 hour stay was the best it could be.
