Stayed at Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge and overall it was a solid experience.
The staff is genuinely friendly from the moment you walk in. The hotel itself is clean and well kept, and the rooms are comfortable. Beds were solid and the room felt fresh. Valet was fast and efficient, and Aaron deserves a shoutout because he was consistently on point. Big plus that the hotel is dog friendly. We had our two small dogs with us and every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and relaxed about it. Having a restaurant and bar on site is also convenient, especially after a long day.
The downsides are mostly about amenities. Breakfast was underwhelming. Limited options, and it did not even open at 6:30 a.m., which is frustrating if you are up early. We ended up going to another hotel just to get Starbucks. The gym is also small. It was clean, but missing basic weights, so it is not great if you actually want a real workout.
Overall, not a bad stay. Friendly people, clean and comfortable rooms, and smooth valet service made it easy. The breakfast situation was the biggest miss, and the gym could use an upgrade. If they fixed the morning food options, this would be an easy recommendation.
