Hotel Indigo Dundee (Dundee, Tayside) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Hotel Indigo brand appears in a lot of places, but it’s perhaps most notable for the way it brings the high-design style that used to be exclusively found in major capitals to cities where boutique hotels were a little bit later to arrive. Hotel Indigo Dundee is a fine example: a renovation of a charming 1822 industrial building that, having made itself over with modernist furniture and contemporary art, now feels as fashionable as anything in Edinburgh, or London, or New York." - Tablet Hotels

First visit to the Hotel Indigo in Dundee and we were very impressed. The hotel is stylish with an industrial chic feel and the reception and bar area is very modern with seating and tables. Clara the receptionist who checked us in was fantastic, very welcoming, professional and keen to make our stay memorable. We were allocated an upgraded room to a junior suite which was lovely - roomy, modern with an incredible bathroom with large bath and shower and lots of additional perks such as soft drinks, crisps and coffee maker. The room was very comfortable for our stay. All was very quiet so we had a good sleep.|Breakfast was buffet style and had a good range/ choice available. A bit short staffed but they did their best to keep things topped up. |All in all a very enjoyable stay - highly recommended.

I stayed for a couple of nights over the last weekend whilst attending a wedding nearby. The hotel is around a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the train station and within walking distance of the city centre. |The building itself is old and iconic, check in was fast and friendly and the staff throughout were very pleasant.|My room was exceptional. Extremely well designed, spacious and plenty of amenities. Lots of tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided, a very big comfy bed and even a copy of the Beano provided. Ensuite was equally large and very modern, everything worked well. Only thing I'd say is that the toiletries for the shower are in a very awkward place to dispense whilst showering (if you're not Mr Tickle you'll have to get out of the shower everytime you want shower gel). |Overall a fabulous hotel and I'd definitely stay again.

Wife and I travelled upto Dundee and booked a night at the Hotel Indigo.|We booked a suite.||On arrival, check in was painless and the staff were excellent; really friendly and on discovering we were there for a special occasion gave us a voucher for free drinks at the bar. Totally unnecessary but a lovely touch.||We were given keys to our room, the Tay Bridge Suite. A lovely room with great views across the Tay to Fife. Room was lovely and characterful. Bathroom had a bath and separate powerful shower. ||A lovely touch was all the wee nods to Dundee and the building's past, somw more obvious than others!||Nespresso machine on the desk along with lovely pods with a story, along with Irn Bru and Tunnocks in the fridge.||We ate out in town, but came back to the bar for drinks. The 2 guys were great, engaging, funny and happy to engage. The cocktails were excellent. ||After a good night sleep we went down for breakfast. The choice and quality was excellent. The Arbroath Smokies I would highly recommend. Again, the staff were lovely, helpful and engaging. ||I highly recommend this hotel, for a large chain it was firmly footed in Dundee, with much of the products sourced locally. The staff were great, and a real asset to the place. ||We look forward to coming back.

This hotel was booked for a work trip - never stayed before and I was delighted with the hotel. I arrived quite late, welcome was warm, friendly and efficient, and there was a good selection of food available to order on room service, despite the late hour. ||My room was fab, individual, you could see the heritage of the building in the high bricked ceiling and steel columns in the bathroom - I really liked it!||Bed was comfortable, shower excellent, breakfast the next day was lovely. ||I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Dundee - ideally located and a great place to stay.

Overall a lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel is well kept and clean, with great products in the bathrooms, a lovely lobby bar (again with great staff). The single complaint was the bed was very VERY firm, while the pillows were thin. Everyone has varied preferences, so it may be up your alley, but I feel a massage in my future. That said, I'd still recommend it as a great place to stay, but see if you can gain a bedding upgrade.

😜 See!! Can change anything my end (best be super nice rest of my stay 😜 Very lovely staff doing a hard job at the front desk. They've been getting their steps in the last few days as the keycard system isn't working so bit of a problem if you forget something in your room. Also had one small issue but sorted now as the re book hadn't been processed and I've just come off a month of night shift so the issue NEEDED sorting then and there and not next time I walked past the front desk. Staff are all 10/10. Some of the insulation could be better as someone had a very interesting 24hour session either above or beside me Sat/Sun.

Lovely hotel: room was clean and very spacious, all public areas of the hotel were modern and the bar was nice for an evening drink. Breakfast was nice too. Only downside was a lot of the staff we were in contact with seemed under-trained and unsure of what they were doing—they were very nice though and clearly trying their best (under pressure), so not an issue with the individuals but maybe something management should address.
