Lovely stay at the Hotel Indigo. Only two blocks from the Barbican entrance to Krakow’s old town area, the hotel provides an upscale experience at mid-range prices. There’s a Michelin star restaurant on the ground floor, but also a friendly, relaxing lobby bar that is enjoy by hotel guests and locals alike. We opted for a corner room and found the size to be comfortable --- as was the bed. There is no tub, but the shower was just fine. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. (They’re more than happy to call reputable taxis if needed, since they said taxis sometimes hailed on the street will try to negotiate fares rather than going by the meter.) There is a fun little open-air market right next to the hotel, also, that shouldn’t be missed. Overall, a very positive stay.
