Hotel Indigo London - Tower Hill, an IHG Hotel

Love this hotel. My husband and I initially selected it because it was a quick hop to the Barbican where we were planning to see a concert. However, it turned out to be much more than that. The staff is phenomenal, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the hotel has super convenient access to transportation. What's more, there's a terrific Indian restaurant right across the street. Will definitely stay here on future trips to London. Highly recommend it to others.

We loved staying at the Hotel Indigo!! Front Desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodating! Surat, the Front Desk Manager, was always one step ahead of my wife and I making sure that all of our needs were met without us even having to ask! This was 5 star service that one might hope to receive at a very expensive bouquet hotel. We cannot say enough good things Surat and his team. Equally impressive were the associates who managed the restaurant at breakfast. Food was wonderful and staff very attentive. Room was clean and maid staff kept it in perfect condition. Bed was comfortable so no complaints there. Room was quite with minimal outside noise. This will be our "go to hotel" whenever we return to London. Location was a five minute walk from the Aldgate tube station making getting around London easy and cost effective. For London first time visitors, do not be afraid to use the tube as it makes getting around a breeze. It was fast safe and easy once one got the hang of it. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone and this is coming from someone who travels a lot on business.

We stayed here for 2 nights and right from the get go, I was impressed with the staff. Reason being, when we exited the tube station, we inadvertently passed the hotel without notice as it was raining. We stopped and called and got the right direction. A staff member was outside with an umbrella waiting to greet us. Once inside we were further surprised as we received an upgraded room!! The room was way beyond our expectations and the staff called to make sure everything was ok. The location is exceptional as close to the tube and close to Tower Bridge and other attractions. The Chinese food next door was awesome and truly, the whole experience was wonderful I do not give out 5 star ratings..ever..until now Highly recommend this hotel and WILL be staying there again, once we return

Although the design of the lobby was a little tacky (too many colors, fake flowers, mirrors and glitter - nothing matched), the rooms very very tasteful with a lot of space, a very comfy bed and a big enought bathroom (although I would prefer a closed shower). We had tea and coffe, as well as soft drinks and snacks provided every day, which is an absolute plus. The smell of the hotel itself was very nice, we always felt like in a spa. And last but not least, the staff was just the cutest! All questions were answered, all wishes fulfilled and they were just nice and welcoming. We would definitely come again.

Hotel Indigo - Tower Hill: A Cozy and Comfortable Stay with Exceptional Service I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Indigo - Tower Hill in London, and I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel itself has a cozy and warm atmosphere, and the rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. I loved the quirky features of the building, as it was housed in an old bank. The breakfast was also delicious. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff's willingness to go the extra mile. When my traveling companions needed to extend their stay, the staff seamlessly arranged for new rooms and made the transition effortless. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Indigo - Tower Hill. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The staff is exceptional, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London. Additional Tips: If you're looking for a room with a view, I recommend booking a room on the higher floors. The hotel is located near Tower Bridge, so it's a great option if you want to be close to this iconic landmark. The hotel is also within walking distance of many other popular attractions, such as the Tower of London, the British Museum, and the Tate Modern.

A very nice and friendly welcome. I didn't even tell them it was my birthday, and I had a card/treats on the room. The room was beautiful, clean and a decent size for the area. Breakfast wasn't a buffet except for continental, it was very enjoyable. The staff are very friendly and made the experience better.

Lovely team working here. Amazing location. Close to a lot without being inundated with tourists. Mostly quiet area except when the pubs close which is fine. The staff really sets this place apart and I hope management recognize their attention to detail. From morning coffee to the front desk, everyone was there to make the visit more enjoyable.

We had a lovely stay here. Really nice hotel. Our room was spacious and comfy. The bed was massive and we were so comfortable. Great view because we were on the 7th floor. Amazing service from Surat (Hope I got his name right). What a lovely, friendly, welcoming guy who worked at front desk on new years eve. He went out of his way for us and made us feel so welcome. Breakfast is delicious with awesome service there too. Also highly recommend Thai Village 2 minutes away where you can get a discount if you stay at the hotel. Food is out of this world

My big mistake on our trip: bulling check staff, non working TVs, moldy bathrooms, just to mention a few. To be honest I love staying at IHG group hotels and why I'm a club member and always look for a IHG hotel to stay in. We just stayed at the Crown Plaza in Harrogate for 2 weeks for the second time, right before we came down to London. It was amazing, the staff was beyond professional. Check in was easy and everyone throughout the stay was incredible. The TV worked, the bathrooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the rooms service was amazing. My big mistake... booking at IHG hotel Indigo in Tower Hill. We booked here because it was close to Eataly and it was part of the IHG family which I trust and we only had one night to enjoy in London. We went to check in and Natty who helped us was the least unprofessional and the most rude. We had booked a room for two and my sister had missed her plane last minute. So I said she could stay the one night with us until she could get the next flight out the following day. I tried to explain this to the man at the check in. He said absolutely not in very rude terms. I understand this was probably a silly hotel policy and not the staffs fault, so I agreed but understandably was frustrated. I paid £180 for the extra room, so my sister had somewhere to sleep. Even after paying for the extra room Natty at check in was still condescending and rude to us. The woman working behind the desk was amazing and was trying to help, but Natty just brushed her aside and kept being rude. Not wanting to engage further unhinged the employee as we all left. It was noon when we left our bags which they said would be taken to our rooms and went to lunch until 3pm check in. We came back around 5pm and thankfully the check in staff had changed. We asked for the two rooms keys and the staff on that shift were so professional and helpful. We were on the 5th floor and the second room I had been forced to booked for my student sister was on the 7th. (We were never told on checking in that the 7th floor was only accessible by one floor of stairs) We came up to the 5th floor where they said the bags should be and there were no bags. My wife and I had two heavy bags because we had been traveling for two weeks and my sister had a small bag she packed for a two day trip. Not seeing the bags in my room I thought maybe they were taken to my sister's room on the 7th floor. So we tried to make our way to the 7th floor. In doing so we realized the elevator only goes up to the 6th floor and you need to take the stairs to the 7th. Once in the room, all our bags were there. Figuring this was some kind of pay back Natty who obviously had something against us. I decided to carry our very heavy bags down the stairs to the elevator on the 5th floor. My only guess to why our bags were not left on the 5th floor is a mean joke played on us by the unprofessional check in man. I have a bad back so this wasn't easy. After we got to our room, myself and my wife just wanted to forget about it all. We got changed and went to dinner with my sister at Terra in Eately. It was amazing we really suggest it. We came back to the room and tried to watch tv. The only thing that came up was DTV 1, the TV didn't work. Again I think another prank from the guy that checked us in. It was already 930pm and my back was hurting for carrying the bags down the stairs so we just went to bed and not call down to complain. On waking up the we decided to take a shower and the mold on the bottom of the shower pan and the ceiling somehow so neither one of us wanted to take a shower. And with day light we could see how bad the stains were on the carpets. I have to say the IHG Indigo hotel Tower Hill is the most disappointing hotel I have ever stayed at in the IHG family. I was forced to pay for a second room because my sister missed her flight. Then we were bullied by Natty who sent all our heavy bags to a floor where he knew we weren't all staying because he knew we would need to carry them down. Then we had a TV that didn't work, which I'm guessing he knew as well plus I'm sure he gave us the dirtiest room because this is not how IHG hotels are in my experience. All in all it was a pretty terrible stay for me, my sister and my wife I'm sorry to say. IHG I know you can do better we saw it at the Crown Plaza in Harrogate!

Location is excellent. 1/2 block to Earls Court tube and you will be using the underground often! Room updated and clean. But best part was the amazing staff! A special thanks to Rakesh and Mako for all of their friendly help. Breakfast was made to order and/ or buffet and excellent. Only small criticism is that bathroom is small and no drawers to unpack but I'd still return for all the positives

Happy with our stay in this small hotel on a quiet street close to several transportation options. Felt safe walking around at night. Had a small quiet room with a comfortable double bed and small but good shower. Mini fridge has complimentary waters, sodas and sweets. Mirrors... elevator has walls of mirrors, hallways have panels of mirrors & there is a big mirror and mirrored tissue box on the desk in our room. Front desk was courteous and helpful with our questions and calling a taxi for us. Drinks & Fruit There is a bowl of fruit on the front desk counter. In the room there is the usual complimentary coffee & tea but the mini fridge also has complimentary soda, still & sparkling waters and candy bars. Transportation Bus #15, 42, 78, 100, 343, N15, N551 stops in front or across the street Aldgate Station: 3 minute walk NE Tower Hill Station: 5 minute walk SE Located -on the intersection of Minories & India St -10 minute walk to Tower of London entrance

This place left a bit to be desired. They provide a hair dryer, but you have to take it into the living room for a proper plug and the mirror in the bathroom makes you look ghostly so you also have to do your make up in the sitting area with lighting only to one side. You have to request a face cloth, they do not provide them otherwise, which seems odd. The coffee pot is in the closet so if you get up first you have to wait for your spouse to wake up before you can make coffee and you also have to take that into the living room area so you're carting it back-and-forth each day The suite with the Cityview is really just looking at the buildings across the street which I guess is what you get with when you're nestled among high-rises. On the plus side it is close to the tube for convenient access to the rest of the city. The restaurant is adequate but only for breakfast.

We had a great stay in the Hotel Indigo! This is what would be considered a boutique hotel. There are 6 floors and about 40 rooms. There is a very small but pleasant reception lobby. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel is located really close to at least 3 tube stations, Tower Hill, Aldgate and one other. London Tower is a 5-10 minute walk at most. All the common areas in the hotel are spotless. The rooms are beautiful, modern, clean and fairly spacious. They have a free mini bar with water, juices, granola bars, cookies and chocolates. The rooms are and well appointed. There is a desk to plug in a computer and also free wifi. The front desk gives you a code for all your devices. The bed is super comfortable with four fluffy pillows. They have an iPhone, iPod charger/alarm clock and several lights around the room and a flat screen TV. The room was so nice, it was hard to leave to go out and see London. The bathroom was beautiful also. It has a nice shower with a rain head and flexible shower arm, all with separate controls. The shower has glass doors and nice tiles. There is a towel warmer and Hotel Indigo supplies the rooms with shampoo, soap, etc. They have those funky cool European egg shaped toilets with the dual flush system. They even have robes and slippers and an in room safe. The price was really great for a major city hotel. We had a rate of £90 per night. After taxes and fees it was about $170.00. That is 1/2 the price of a comparable hotel in New York City. My only small complaint is the hotel is in the financial district. During the day, it is vibrant with banks, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants but at night there is not a lot going on as the places close up. This can be a good thing as the street is quiet. However, Brick Lane and East London are an easy walk with more options for food in that area. Also to get to Heathrow is bit of a pain by bus or train. There are a couple of tube changes to make to get to Victoria or Padington Station which can be a hassle with a lot of luggage. I loved this hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a really nice hotel for a very reasonable price in London. It was one of the nicer hotels I have stayed at in terms of value vs. cost.

Outrageous hotel policies here. I made a reservation at this hotel for 2 nights directly with the hotel, not through Expedia or anything. I booked 2 months in advance. At 9 AM on the day of arrival, they emailed me to tell me the credit card on file was declined, and to call them and update it. By 11 AM, they emailed me and told me they cancelled it, leaving me without a hotel room on a sold-out night. Truly outrageous. I used to work as a FD manager for hotel chains and we NEVER did this. So I called the hotel and spoke to both Alba the manager and Soukaina, and they both told me that this was the policy. How awful. How can anyone update a credit card from an airplane from the US to the UK? And, they had that reservation for 2 months, yet waited until the last minute to cancel the reservation and make an attempt at getting a new method of payment. Outrageous. Especially since there is a 48 hour cancellation policy for the room if you need to cancel, before they charge your card, but they can cancel your room reservation the morning of arrival. What a joke. Marriott, Starwood, and Ritz never did that, and I worked for all of them.

Wonderful hotel! The bed was comfortable! The room was spacious and surprisingly quiet (for being in the middle of a busy part of the city). The large, thick towels and Aveda products are a nice touch. And the staff is willing to do what's needed to serve the guests from ordering taxis and giving directions to fixing running toilets.

By far my favorite hotel I've recently visited!!! Reception is lovely and the rooms are so spacious and clean and even includes an espresso maker!!! Will return!!!

Clean, modern, comfy, fun, and the staff was responsive, excellent, and friendly. I stayed here for 4 nights and the room was very clean and comfortable with an excellent shower. The room was stocked with a mini-bar, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. We had an excellent breakfast 2 of the mornings in the attached restaurant. I will definitely stay in this hotel again while in London based on the price, location, service, and overall modern comfort.

Lovely little boutique hotel in the heart of tower hill. Check in was a breeze and the rooms were comfortable and good size for London. This is conveniently located right next to Aldgate tube station and within a short walk of the Tower of London. Rooms are larger than your typical London hotel, all around great experience.

Wow- I am SO HAPPY that I decided to stay here for my brief stopover in London at the end of a business trip further north. The price was very fair for the caliber of hotel - about 127GBP per night - and the amenities are terrific: a great onsite, but mostly open to the public Italian restaurant called Square Mile which features a wood burning oven for blisteringly crisp pizzas and other Italian fare upstairs and a bar/ nightclub downstairs plus extensive business traveler friendly perks like free wi-fi in public areas and hotel rooms, free business center help including free storage CDs if required and postal services. I was incredibly fortunate to receive an upgrade to the HUGE "Tower Bridge Suite" (thanks Ambassador status from Priority Club!) which is a 2 room space with a very large modern, stylish but comfortable living area well separated by walls and a corridor, but not an actual closing door, from the bedroom. The mini bar treats (sodas, bottled water, candy bars) are FREE as well. One really strange and annoying problem with the room though: there are only 2 plugs at the desk in the corner of the living area (and no other plugs within 10 ft) so unless you unplug the ipod dock style clock radio or the lamp on the desk, you can not plug in your laptop or phone charger while working there. This needs to be rectified with a small surge protector asap! Nearest tube stop is no more than a 5 min walk to Tower Bridge. Aldgate Square is just about equidistant if that line is preferable. Every staff member was universally gracious and helpful, so that was just the icing on the cake. This hotel knows how to make a stay very pleasant indeed!

After deciding on London as our next big trip, we were looking at what it seemed every hotel in the city. We stumbled upon Hotel Indigo Tower Hill and decided that the fact they offered free WiFi was enough to sell us on staying here. We arrived at the hotel at around 10 am after an overnight flight and they let us know that our room would not be available for another hour. They took our luggage and apologized that the room wasn't ready. We said it was fine and decided to explore around our hotel while we still had energy left over from our flight. We came back a few hours later, room was ready and bags already upstairs. The room itself was the perfect size for the both of us, just enough room for us to move around comfortably. The bed was large and very comfortable. They had a complimentary mini bar in the room filled with chocolates, sodas, juices, and water. There were some snacks as well. The Nespresso machine and teapot were put to good use! The hotel was nothing but accommodating to us. Whenever we had to make a phone call to confirm a tour or call for a taxi, the concierge were more than happy to do it. It is near two underground stations, Aldgate and Tower Hill, Aldgate being a 2 minute walk! As for sites, you do have to use the tube to get to central London but the Tower of London and Tower Bridge are a 5 minute walk away. I loved that it was close enough to get to sites but far enough that it was quiet when it was time to sleep. I would truly recommend this hotel in a heartbeat for those traveling through the city.

We were in London meeting up with a tour group of the British Isles. We picked Hotel Indigo to stay in a different part of London than central London, and are so glad we did. The hotel is a quick walk from Paddington station - maybe 200 yards! We landed in Heathrow, took the Heathrow Express to Paddington, and were checked into our hotel fast. From Heathrow to being checked in was 1/2 hour door to door. Because we were so close to Paddington we were able to take an easy day trip to Windsor Castle, which was a great short train ride. The hotel was very modern, and clean. They provided complimentary mini-bar drinks, including wine, and had a nice restaurant downstairs. We liked exploring the area near Paddington, which has a lot of nice restaurants, and access to Kensington Palace and the Gardens.

No hotel in the world comes more highly recommended by me for the price & what you get. Best parts of the Hotel Indigo: 1. Kind, Friendly, Gracious Staff. They make every experience enjoyable. 2. Wonderful Towels & overhead shower head. Makes that shower after a long flight feel like heaven. 3. Fridge is stocked with waters, sodas, breakfast bars, candy bars, etc. and it is all complimentary. Every time I pull a water out and don't have to pay 6 GBP for it I am reminded why I love this place. 4. Close to the Tower, 3 tube stations, and within walking distance of a lot. 5. Throw Pillows, Brick Walls in the rooms, and just plain comfy chic. Just lovely. oh and one more...free wifi...yes the key to my heart...FREE wifi. Don't recommend anywhere in London more.

I was in London last week for a conference and stayed at the Indigo Tower Hill instead of the Doubletree which was the conference hotel. Nothing wrong with the Doubletree, but I wanted something a bit more stylish, smaller, boutique-y. I definitely made the right choice. The room was beautiful, nicely appointed, very comfortable bed and pillows, clean, plenty of plush towels, quiet. The exposed brick wall is a cool touch. Service was exemplary. I arrived at 7am from Chicago and they had a room ready for me. Front desk service was courteous and efficient throughout my stay. Internet was fast, no problems connecting my Mac, iPad and iPhone. I needed some printing done - the front desk gave me their email address, I emailed my documents, they printed them and had them waiting for me nicely folded. The hotel has an arrangement for free workout at Virgin Active around the corner - nice health club, definitely better than your usual on-site. My only complaint was the restaurant. Actually, not the restaurant, but the food. Actually, not the food, but the eggs....seems the breakfast chef doesn't want to do eggs over easy. However, if that's my only complaint, I'm a happy guest. I highly recommend the Indigo Tower Hill, especially if you have business in the City.

I've stayed here quite a few times now - and each time I've never been left disappointed! Great location, stone's throw from a tube station and walking distance to Spitalfields. The rooms are amazing! The beds are so so comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. There are lots of little details they put attention into as well. Nespresso machines, iPod docks, complimentary minibar, Aveda toiletries and free in-room Wifi, I couldn't ask for more! Another good thing is that they have normal lighting, yes, normal! None of this weird dimmed mood-lighting like in most hotels! The staff are all so lovely too - friendly and really helpful. Once, they upgraded me and my boyfriend to a suite, for no reason at all! If I ever need a hotel in the area, I'll always book here, I absolutely love it!

The City is not exactly a tourist mecca so the hotel offerings are few and mostly expensive cookie cutter places that cater exclusively to business traveller needs. Needing to be close to my company's office for a recent trip I browsed the hotel offerings online and stumbled upon the Hotel Indigo boutique chain by Intercontinental. Knowing the quality of Intercontinental I figure it was worth a try if just to avoid another night in an overpriced biz hotel. Well I'm glad I did. I've found my new favourite hotel for stays in The City and given how many they have around other parts of London I'll probably give their other locations a try when travelling for pleasure too. The common areas are bright & modern. The lobby is glass, steel and red terrazzo. It's small but adequate. The halls are an odd mix of wood, stone, carpet and mirrors, but you don't stay in the lobby or halls. What make this hotel are the rooms, amenities and staff. The staff was professional and super friendly. The amenities are great. Free wifi, free minibar full of waters, soda and candy, free news paper of your choice, free passes to a nearby gym. The rooms are the real surprise. The nondescript exterior belies the spacious, well appointed rooms. In fact its possibly the nicest basic (non-suite) hotel room I've stayed in. A comfy king size four post bed with plush down comforter. Adequate closets. Desk and club chair. And a huge flat screen TV. The walls are nicely decorated with stencil art of the Thames, a bridge and The Eye. The wall behind the bed is covered in a textured wood brick that is a nice warm contrast to the other white walls. The bath is also huge, appointed with contemporary European fixtures. Pricing closes the deal. An Internet rate was much better than other nearby hotels and on the low end of what I'd expect for a boutique in other parts of town.

This is a jewel just up the street from The Crown Jewels. Great location near 3 Tube stations and the Tower of London. Good size rooms for a European hotel at a reasonable price. The wood floors do creak alot. What makes this a 5 star hotel is the staff. The management and staff live SERVICE. I could not get my IPhone to work with their wireless, the manager and staff spent a good half hour and took down their system to get me connected. You won't find that type of service anywhere else. The restaurant staff was always attentive. I spend a great deal of my life in hotels,these people could teach the Big Boys a thing or two about customer service.

The hotel is very nice and centrally located. The staff was excellent - very polite, friendly, prompt and accommodating. I would highly recommend them if you are on vacation or business travel.

I was visiting a friend in London and stayed at their house for a few days, but me and my daughter wanted mother-daughter time so, I stayed here and loved it. It is very nice and the staff were AMAZING. They were nice to my 7 year old to, laughing at the "jokes" she made. I would stay here again!!!

Slick, slick, slick! Such cheerful and welcoming staff. Excellent fit out, excellent location and excellent service! You cannot ask for better. You will pay a little more but you can expect quality. Probably the most comfortable bed that I've ever slept in and I will definitely be there again! Lovely toiletries, scrumptious towels, stylish bathrooms, artwork and furniture. Free minibar with still and sparkling waters, soft drink cans, fruit juices, cookies, white and dark chocolate and grain bar. Good quality tea and coffee selection and a free newspaper or two to top it off. Even if you are going to be doing stuff in the West End and not the City, it is only a short Underground trip to the action. Pay a little more for the base price and go and visit them: it is well worth it!

Although the room was postage stamp tiny, it was very well designed, had a comfy bed, was very clean and as close to Paddington Station as possible. All of the rooms also come with a local cell phone that you can use during your stay which was exceptionally cool. The hotel restaurant was open early as well as late and had a very nice variety of good food. Thumbs up!

Chose this hotel based on reviews we'd read and were not disappointed. Once our room was ready, they allowed us to check in early and sleep off the red eye. We enjoyed the array of complimentary snacks and drinks (which were restocked everyday) in the room. The room itself was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was helpful to us as people who had never been to London before and had good recommendations for local restaurants and places to go.

Nice hotel. Kind of a just okay fringe location, but it is close to the tower. Nice clean rooms and nice staff. Free and fast internet a plus.

Let me check in at noon to sleep off my red eye. Beautiful, clean room, comfortable bed. Great bathroom. Great service. Even lent me a power adapter. Close to an Underground stop.

a wonderful boutique hotel conveniently located near 3 tube stops. easy access to south bank and Spitalfields market. this is a quiet neighborhood and my 6th floor room had a view of tower bridge. the free mini bar is a great amenity- restocked with biscuits, sparkling water, juice, soda, chocolate and espresso each day. another bonus is the large bathroom. sometimes hard to find in Europe.
