Very good hotel, a pleasant surprise. Location is just far enough of the center you’re feeling a bit of respite, yet close enough you can quickly hop in and out of the city.
Only issue is the very dynamic pricing strategy, where a room can move from 1000€ to 300€ in a matter of days. Yes yes, I know, events etc. Will increase the price. Still. It’s annoying.
The room was good, the staff excellent, and the restaurant was actually nice. The 5% forced tip that you have to decline isn’t really a good practice IMO, especially when the hotel is part of a large group like IHG. Why should the staff get 5% of 1000€ for a single night, for a total of 10 minutes of interaction is beyond me.
Rooms aren’t sound proof like they should, but it was still adequate. For 300€ this is a good hotel. For 1000€, you’re just sponsoring the owner new Ferrari.
