I stayed one night while traveling on business in the area.||Outstanding experience.||The hotel's location is wonderful. It's located in downtown Naperville, right on the Naperville Riverwalk. This meant that within walking distance of the hotel was a wonderful place to go for a long walk or run for exercise (the riverwalk itself) and a large variety of shops and restaurants (downtown Naperville), including many local establishments.||The room was great--stylish decor, a comfortable bed, good air conditioning, and a spacious bathroom with a nice walk-in shower. Everything was in great condition and very clean. Internet was fast and free. The lobby area of the hotel was also a nice place, with some little nooks to sit and do some work. Parking was easy, in the garage attached to the hotel.||Service at check-in was very welcoming and came with a nice explanation of the amenities and the local area.||Top-notch experience; I would definitely return.

We stayed the night here on our vacation. We should have planned more than one night. The area around the hotel is walkable to restaurants and shops. The Riverwalk is also right there. We enjoyed the evening walking around the area. Our room, with a balcony, overlooked the Riverwalk. The bathroom was well appointed and the barn door to close off the bathroom was beautiful. Our king size bed was the most comfortable bed we had on our 10 night vacation. The next morning we went down for breakfast which was included with our room rate. It was very tasty.

Had a great and relaxing stay at Hotel Indigo. Front desk supervisor Ashley Turner was courteous, professional and team oriented…she rates a 10/10! She went above and beyond to listen when we mentioned that Sheri and Cindy could use assistance in Plank Bar and Kitchen. Sheri and Cindy were great and provided excellent service despite not having enough help. Overall our stay was great and we would like to stay at Hotel Indigo in the future.

Google
Great hotel the decor is fun and unique. location is fabulous, close to lots of shops and dinning. Highly recommend their own bar, Planks and Vasilis across the street. the staff was so friendly that I hesitate to say anything negative, good job to the manager for hiring and training great people! That’s hard to do. However, they are lacking attention to detail in the housekeeping department. First want to say that’s it’s obvious the housekeeping staff is doing excellent daily cleaning, it’s more weekly or monthly deep cleaning that is lacking. Sticky floors. I’ll be giving this hotel a second chance next year, I hope they care and fix some of these problems, I really hate sticky floors! Details for their great staff: Dust in lesser areas, especially between the barn door and wall and those end tables, I don’t know how you clean those, terrible design for that. There was some broken glass in the hallways that was spread by the vacuum. The big thing was the floor, we rented 2 rooms, the one on 2nd floor was good but the other one had a very sticky floor, the soap to water ratio is likely too much, after watching them mop it, was still sticky so I washed it with towels, took 2 washes to stop the floor from being sticky, was much more comfortable after achieving that. The dark walls and mirrors had lots of residue spots,, with that kind of wall, needs to be washed. couch cushion upside down. Lots of details, which are important. And the stairwell is clearly not cleaned much. The fire extinguisher had its pin pulled with the plastic tab lying on the ground. And again please solve the sticky floor problem. Good luck to your business!

After a bad experience at another local hotel, we checked out early and came to the Indigo. Beautiful hotel, rooms, great service, and an awesome downtown Naperville location near the river walk, restaurants, shops - easy walk to all! 5 stars all around. Don’t hesitate or book something cheaper - would definitely stay here again!

Google
Nice, clean, and safe hotel, great location, the front desk ladies were helpful and friendly. There’s free parking in the garage, and a beautiful nature walk. The overall price for the hotel stay wasn’t too expensive and nearby food options were pretty good.

Stayed here as part of a work trip with a group of our corporate folks and it was a fantastic property. The service levels, room quality and location worked perfectly for us all. Natalie Manke in Sales was a champ with all of our last minute changes and needs. The MOD on Tuesday evening stepped up to great our VIPs as we had some travel delays and they were fantastic. Would happily stay here again if the need arises.

Google
Rarely do I have such a wonderful experience at a hotel! This was absolutely fantastic from check-in to check-out. Lauren at check-in was the kindest and most pleasant person and both women working at check-out the next morning were too. (Sorry I didn't grab their names) Rooms were clean, quiet, and very comfortable with lots of space. The common areas are so gorgeous and provide great spaces to work if needed. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely stay again when I'm in town.

Yelp
This hotel is right on the riverwalk in downtown Naperville. It's right on the Main Street with lots of shops and restaurants right outside. The decor is nice. Although the hotel was overall nice, it's more than twice the cost of other similar hotels in town, and I don't think what you get justifies the cost. The rooms are quite small, and some of the design features in the rooms aren't ideal. For example, our room had a barn door entry to the bathroom so whoever is hanging out in bed can clearly hear everything going on in the bathroom.

Yelp
Alondra at the front desk was amazing. She was extremely helpful and kind. The room I stayed in was nice and clean. Great location and great service.

Yelp
The pros: location is excellent; free parking; front desk service was amazing for both check in and check out. The cons: the room. Our room was pretty dirty. There was toothpaste smudged all over the bathroom wallpaper, hairs everywhere, smelled musty. Sheets didn't give the impression that they'd been changed since the last visitor and don't get me started on the comforter. The room needs a good detox. We did not try the restaurant or bar. We enjoyed our visit but I don't think I'd stay there again just due to the ick factor of the room.

Yelp
Like most boutique hotels, the rooms aren't all that spacious but the decor is really nice, especially the door to the bathroom (which I realize sounds super weird to say). The beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was nice. It had a refrigerator in the room. The tv had channels and didn't require you to log in to your own streaming devices. Parking was free in the garage. The location is pretty much near everything in downtown Naperville. All and all, it was a nice experience.

Yelp
Checked in for wedding at Hotel Indigo. Highly recommended Hotel Indigo for multiple reasons but the staff at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly! Great location and close proximity downstairs to a great coffee shop and local restaurants. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Bill D.

Yelp
The hotel is centrally located but the prices are as high as downtown Chicago because there are no other centrally located hotels. The room was very nice. And there are plenty of stores and restaurants and the riverwalk is fun. But we left a couple of items in the room and spent a long time trying to talk to someone in housekeeping or lost and found. We tried leaving voicemails, texts, chats and emails all to no avail. Absolutely no help whatsoever. Nada. Nothing. No response at all. It felt like take the money and run. Very poor customer service and will never stay there again.

Yelp
Remarkably disappointing experience. Originally booked a '1 King Bed Suite Living Area Balcony' for the Fourth of July. Emailed twice prior to inquire about early check-in, emails were never acknowledged. Upon arrival and check-in, we were informed the room we booked was unavailable due to an incident with the previous occupants. We were offered a lesser room in exchange for comping the $100 pet fee, which we felt was fair. Then, after checkout, were charged both - the full price for the suite we didn't stay in, as well as the pet fee. It took sitting on hold for over 15 minutes to re-address the entirety of the issue with an entirely different staff member. Such a mess for a very simple attempt to enjoy a nice evening in what appeared to be a great room. I guess we'll never know.

Yelp
This place and staff were Amazing! After issues with an unclean/safe hotel in an unknown area, my group of 4 ladies were so thankful to find this hotel and check in after midnight. Mary at the front desk was so empathic and welcoming. We were exhausted and frazzled. She quickly checked us in, provided water and asked if there was anything she could do. The lobby was beautiful and welcoming. Every bit of this experience felt luxurious, clean and safe. The rooms were modern, spacious, fresh and comfortable. Mary was so friendly and helpful with all of our requests and shared recommendations. She greeted us daily with a smile and always asked if she could help with anything. We enjoyed drinks in the bar. The views and atmosphere were Fantastic. I wish we had more time to try all the accommodations the hotel had to offer. We will definitely book this place for conference next year.

Yelp
If there's a wedding or two happening in the hotel, you can hear it in your room even two floors above. Room had food and hair on floor. Terrace faces brick wall that cost extra. No place to sit other than office chair in room.

Yelp
I didn't like the fact that I was charged a $25 resort fee (each day!) for no reason at all! I wasn't properly warned about this. What in the world does this resort fee go towards???? There was no warning about this fee and was never told what I could use it towards when I checked in. Stay somewhere else!

Yelp
Hotel Indigo is a really beautiful boutique hotel. It has a bit of both a mid-century modern vibe, mixed in with a modern vibe. Meeting up with my high school best friends, we wanted to pick a place where we could just park our cars and have our pick of nearby restaurants. This hotel and location fit that bill completely. We never had to go even a block to eat good food and we could walk the beautiful riverwalk when we wanted time away from our hotel room. The service was very friendly. With COVID, the staff is pretty limited though. There was no maid service; although, at any time we could request anything that we needed. The only negatives are that with all hard surfaces, it was really loud and echoey. I have one very loud friend and I'm sure everyone who shared either walls, floor, or ceiling hated us as neighbors. The bathroom door doesn't seal closed. It's a beautiful glass sliding door, but left little to the imagination when someone was using it. I would definitely stay here again though.

Yelp
My room was beautiful and the staff was welcoming and vey helpful. It is centrally located so I was able to walk anywhere in town. I'm just sad that I was only there for one night.

Yelp
The reservation team told me I booked one type of room, but on the day of I got a significantly worse one. The reservation team assured me I would be able to check in early to accommodate my wedding day schedule. I even called with my wife the week before the stay to confirm an early check in and the reservation team confirmed I would be allowed one. The day of my stay, I was turned away. I told the front desk about my conversations and all they could offer was "we don't guarantee check-ins before 3:00". Maybe they don't, but the IHG reservation team sure did. Maybe there was no way to help me, but the worst part was that they didn't even pretend to care. There was no inclination that they even wanted to help- just a defensiveness. I've worked in customer service- I don't ever treat people rudely or poorly because it never helps and kindness is free. I don't know why I was lied to by the IHG reservation team, but that wasn't as bad as the apathy from the on site staff at the Hotel Indigo. I'm not posting this to scream into the void- genuinely I hope people have a better time than I did. I would very strongly recommend booking somewhere else- but if you do stay here, do not go through the IHG reservation department.

Yelp
This is probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Ever! The hotel overall is very modern, clean, and spacious. The hotel staff is very friendly, and will go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay here. The location is ideal as there are many food options and attractions such as the Naperville Riverwalk within walking distance of the hotel - another huge pro to staying here. The room is very large, size wise, including the shower, with TALL ceilings. A mini fridge is also provided. The bed is also very comfortable. There is also FREE PARKING in an ATTACHED PARKING GARAGE. That is not easy to find in the Chicago area, so HALLELUJAH for this hotel! Housekeeping services are also provided every day. The only thing I will say about this hotel is that it is not as soundproof as you may think it is, so you might hear outdoor activities nearby, or even guests in adjacent rooms. This is partially because of the hardwood floors inside the rooms. Other than that though, this was a great stay here and I will no doubt stay here again when business brings me to the Naperville area again. Nice job, Hotel Indigo! Tip: another reason to stay here is that you will be provided with a 15-20% off coupon to use at select restaurants in Downtown Naperville. Don't forget to take advantage of that!

Yelp
+1 star for the location - it is amazing. You can easily access everything in Naperville and there is ample free parking downtown. And the rooms are very large for a downtown hotel. Everything else is completely a bust. It is COVID and I think they're having severe staffing issues. We stayed 4 days and didn't have any kind of room service - they were prompt about getting us clean sheets to change our own bed (two young kids who are spill/accident prone so we had to do this twice during our stay). No place to put our trash nor a system to help empty rooms (we did do a lot of takeout due to Covid so it was a small mountain by the end of our stay - no solution was given). There is no room service or breakfast options (although there is an unaffiliated coffee shop on the first floor which was pretty good ($$$ though and limited options for me due to allergies so I ran to Target to pick up breakfast for the week). Front desk also seemed confused with a lot of our questions (ie grocery stores, neighborhoods, places to pick up things for our stay, etc). The biggest issue was the bathroom - we ended up in a handicap room we didn't request which was fine, but the bathroom had a pvc pipe glued to the floor to prevent flooding (not quite sure why it was open to begin with? Roll-in shower access is obviously prevented with the pvc now ...) The water splashed out and flooded the entire bathroom (the pipe didn't do much as it wasn't sealed on the end) and it was an inch of standing water that we had to sop up with towels. We called down and we got a message that they were coming up to take care of it, but no one came. And it was not a small flood. It was a busy trip so we did not have a chance to follow up. And it wasn't cleaned properly - old contacts were found on the floor (none of our guests wear contacts) and the floor was not exactly clean water when we mopped it up. Lighting was interesting in the room and the mood is definitely dark and moody - more lights would have helped at night as we could not see all corners of the room. Daytime was great with the view and large window for sunlight.

Yelp
After a long drive to Naperville, the first thing I wanted to do was sit down and relax. Thankfully, I came to the right place! Upon arrival in the lobby, I was greeted by friendly concierge staff and a comforting warmth providing refuge from the biting Illinois winter. The lounging space in the lobby seemed to be calling my name, and I couldn't resist sinking into one of the plush chairs while we waited to check in. Our room (the deluxe double queen bedroom) is huge and has enough mirrors and counter space for 3 girls who have to rush to get ready in the morning! The beds are so comfy...I predict a night of sweet dreams and deep sleep is in my future! The bathroom is equipped with complimentary shampoo/conditioner/body soap, basically all of the necessities you need if you happened to forget! Finally, the hotel room is definitely clean and up to health code, for which i am very appreciative!

Yelp
I attended a business meeting at the Indigo banquet hall and was impressed with the refreshingly unconventional and inviting facilities. Rather than the traditionally boring four walls and crystal chandelier banquet room, their event space is open with lots of windows overlooking the Naperville riverwalk and architecturally interesting ceiling. Although the event was catered, I didn't taste any of the food so can't comment on that aspect of their business. However, my interest is certainly piqued and may look for an opportunity to book a night to get the full experience.

Yelp
This is a beautiful, modern hotel located in Naperville right next to the opening of the Riverwalk. It is located on a street that has a nice mixture of stores, such as a Mexican, pizza, spa, clothing store, etc. The concierge is very nice, as well as the room was great as well. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Naperville.

Yelp
Enjoyed a weekend stay right on the Dupage River in the center of Naperville's city center (downtown). Beautiful and relaxing surroundings. This hotel is fairly new (less than a year old), and it shows. Everything is immaculate, from the lobby to the guest rooms. In room enviro-controls are at your disposal to keep you comfy during your stay. My room was equipped with a large wall mounted HDTV, huge walk-in shower, iron, ironing board and king bed. Room was comfortable and spotless. Fridges and microwaves are available if you desire. Oddly the lobby/check-in is on the 2nd floor adjacent to the free parking garage entrance, so keep that in mind. Lot's of shopping and dining surround the hotel, so you'll have lots to do in the local area. Enjoy a stay here.

Yelp
My husband and I booked a room here for our 1st anniversary and we were not disappointed. We received free parking and breakfast vouchers. We loved that we could come and go with ease to go get dinner and drinks in Naperville. Unfortunately there was a wedding that booked the dinner room area so we could not get breakfast, but they let us use our voucher on their premade section. I was a happy camper and my husband was even able to pick out some craft beer cans to take home. I love the rain shower :)

Mary H.

Yelp
Very nice hotel, very clean, nice amenities in the room, huge shower. Checking in was swift and painless. Very polite and knowledgeable staff and very nice food offerings. The only complaint I have is the bar. Service was fine. However the bartender made it very clear she DID NOT want to be there. She served pp but never smiled, appeared sullen and a bit annoyed. There was a wedding that weekend so it was busy. She was talking to herself (or perhaps just loud enough for us to hear) complaining about having to be there that night. This was a huge break from the quality of personnel in the rest of the restaurant. Other than that little issue, we were very pleased with our visit.

Yelp
I returned to my hometown for the first time in eight years. I was staying on my own for three nights so that I could visit friends and my old haunts. The location is lovely... right on the river walk... and close to the neighborhood where I grew up. It was a bit on the pricey side, but I wanted to be right there, so decided to pay for it. It is really a lovely hotel with nice rooms. My room had a view of the downtown area. There is free parking in the garage just behind. It is walking distance to anything you might need, and there is a coffee shop on the ground floor. However, I didn't love it. There was something missing. At first when I arrived, I could't find the entrance. I saw signs and knew I was at the right building. The problem is that the lobby is on the second floor. There is a door on the street that is barely marked with an elevator to the second floor. Though it is close to everything, I feel separated in the hotel. Maybe it is because there are no balconies. Also, since the lobby is on the second floor, there is no outdoor space. I felt like I was either out and about, or closed in my room. Other than that, staff was friendly the few times I spoke with them. Would I stay again? Maybe

Isabella J.

Yelp
Colleen is the best bartender and server I've had in years. 3 Her espresso martini is amazing! And her PGJ shots! She is empathetic and sweet. I would visit her even if I wasn't staying in the hotel- Please promote her or increase her pay! She's the best! Please tip her well and show your appreciation:)

Yelp
This place is amazing! My aunt treated my fiance and I to two nights at Hotel Indigo and we felt very spoiled and appreciative to be able to enjoy this wonderful hotel. The lobby is gorgeous and the check-in process was super easy. They have free parking for hotel guests, which is great in such a happening downtown area. You are also in walking distance to everything, including the Riverwalk, restaurants, bars, stores and train station. The room is so cozy and modern and a place you look forward to coming back to after a long day. The room also has a fridge, which was great for keeping our water cold and to be able to bring back leftovers. The restaurant/bar downstairs was even generous enough to warm up our leftovers so that they did not go to waste! I would definitely return to this hotel but may not be able to afford it as the cost per night is a bit out of my price range but you pay for what you get - totally worth the extra money if you are looking to spend a few nights in Naperville, whether it be for a staycation or are from out of town visiting family/friends.
google avatar

Yelp
It is a lovely place to stay.....for one night. Had I known there was no maid service I would have chose somewhere else. At least 50% of the joy of staying in a hotel for me , as a mom, is leaving for the day and coming back to a clean room and bed made. The first day or 2 was ok. But when it got to the point of running out of toilet paper and only having one roll in the room...????? For the price I would have expected more. Oh, and the coffee in the lobby? 4$ a cup I wouldn't stay here again.

Yelp
I tried to submit a review directly to their website but it was flagged because I used the word "dangerous" for something that was.... DANGEROUS. I tried to email the hotel and the website says "this page is not available." I rented this room for my husband's 50th birthday. With Covid, we of course, don't want to travel far from home, but thought this would be a safe and fun little night away. We got to our room and found that it was an accessible room. I know that I would never choose this room as my husband and myself do not need that. I distinctly remember choosing "river view" room on the website, and my confirmation email says that. No view of the river. Just the street. Says nothing about accessible. I won't even use an accessible stall in a public restroom for fear of taking it from someone who needs it. But i thought maybe that's all they had and I wasn't going to let it ruin the night. The rest of the room did just that. The heat didn't work in the living area and I froze all night. The bed was bowed so we rolled together in the middle. The TV in the bedroom wouldn't work so my husband spent about an hour trying to fix it. The remotes wouldn't connect to the tv. The shower was dirty (literally scummy) and the floor was pitched away from the drain so water flooded the entire bathroom. Super dangerous. I work in plumbing so it was clearly a mistake when building the roll in shower as they just put up a weird rubber guard to try to block water from flooding the room. Did not work. We had to use all the towels in the room to sop up the mess from my husband's 5 minute shower. I have photos to back all of this up. I was incredibly disappointed in our stay. I spent A LOT on a room when I could have gotten a room for $79 5 minutes away and been comfortable. There was also no refrigerator or microwave in the room which I think is a weird choice for a hotel. Also, it's Covid times so we had to bring all of our food back to our room but couldn't save leftovers. I am very disappointed, won't be staying here again and will not recommend to friends. I contacted the hotel on Twitter as their website wouldn't allow me to email directly to the hotel or the IHG hotel group and they just said "sorry. Hope you stay again." And gave me an equivalent of $25 on my rewards membership card. I told them to keep the points. I'll stick with Marriott hotels. I really try to not post bad reviews of places. But this one has me pretty worked up. The man on staff when we checked in is the only staff we encountered the whole 21 hours we were there and he was super nice. Other than that, this whole experience was a disappointment.

Yelp
Okay hotel. Not great, just okay. I think the only reason they get business is its the best in the area, or so people think- sad. Overpriced because of the captive audience. Minimal amenities (i.e. if you don't want the horribly bland coffee provided free in the room, you can go to the lobby and pay for self serve coffee from a carafe; no room service; no breakfast on weekdays; breakfast on weekends starts at 10:30 a.m.; ice machine on the floor but no vending machines ). There is free parking, which is the only plu.s The rooms are showing their age: we had to call for an engineer every time we wanted to turn on the TV. Twice in 1/2 day was our limit- we sat looking out the window instead of calling a third time. We heard others had the same issue with their tvs. When we checked out, not a care to ask how our stay was...I figured they already knew.

Yelp
Booked 2 nights here at a pretty primum rate. Our stay was plenty nice and the place was clean and comfortable. Selected the two queen suite river view with living space as it was the only room open at the time of booked with two beds. Upon check in that evening the employee informed us that room was over booked. The only thing she could offer us was a standard room. Of course we made it work. It was late, and we couldn't exactly just go looking for another hotel. Pretty minor overall, but not what I paid for. I was offered nothing in compensation at the time. After getting home from the trip I tried to reach out to local management unsuccessfully. I reached out to IHG directly and got a reply after a couple days. They said they will forward my issue onto local management/ownership and to expect them to email me within 48 hours. No reply at all. I reached out again to IHG directly but have given up any hope on a resolution.

Yelp
Where do I begin? I wanted to plan a night away for my boyfriend's birthday. Called the reservation line - the recording ALWAYS states (no matter what time you call) - "there are several people waiting...blah blah blah". Well, I was in the area and decided to book it in person. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wish I remembered her name. I choose the most expensive room with the balcony and the young lady even stated she would make sure i'm in her favorite room. Fast forward two weeks later (that is correct, I had this reservation for about 2 weeks) a few days before my trip, I realized that I had to cancel - NO FAULT OF THE HOTEL. TOTALLY MY FAULT. 8:00am - i went online to cancel it 8:02am - realized i didn't have to cancel 8:02am and 10 seconds - went back in to try and rebook and it stated no rooms Wait, I just cancelled it a minute ago - how is it gone already? Call the reservation line - yep, same busy recording. I decided to contact the front desk. I told her what happened and wanted to rebook the same room. She stated "our hotel is overbooked so we can't book that room". WAIT, THE HOTEL IS OVERBOOKED. Please explain this to me. She stated "well, i understand you had the room, but we overbooked the hotel anyway. Some of the rooms have issues and we don't know what we're going to do". I stated "if I didn't cancel and arrived an hour after check in - are you stating that i might not have received my room, even though i had a reservation? Also, when were you going to tell the people that had reservations?" She says, "that is correct - we are still trying to fix the problems". I then ask to speak to manager. I was on hold for about 7 minutes and their line hangs up on me. I call back and the manager answered. I explained the problem. Basically, how is my room gone after only 2 minutes and is it possible to rebook (knowing by now i should quit while i'm ahead). He stated it's impossible because the hotel is overbooked and obviously somebody went online to book it when i cancelled. WAIT, IF YOU ARE OVERBOOKED ALREADY, HOW WERE THEY ABLE TO BOOK IT???????????????? I would have rather heard "look lady, you snooze you lose. We were overbooked and actually glad you cancelled because there was no guarantee that we could have honored your stay." He stated he would call me back - of course, no call back. I will NEVER patronize this hotel due to obviously the lack of management skills and customer service from upper management. If you have 100 rooms - and book 100 rooms - how do you continue to accept reservations?

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, but very rude staff. I was getting married at The elements of water st which is connected to Hotel Indigo. We had a room block, and a bridal suite booked for 2 nights. Upon the first night stay, my bride asked the front desk about pricing for the wedding day(which was the next day), to which she was met with some complete BS She introduced herself, said she was getting married here tomorrow and just wanted to know room pricing for the guests that thought about booking a room too late. The front desk employee rudely said the system were shut down tomorrow. What does that even mean? The hotel is fully booked???(if so, why not say?). After my bride asking what that meant, she got the other front desk representative to again confirm that the system SHUTS DOWN ON SATURDAYS. At the time it was a Thursday afternoon, and the next day was a Friday. So my bride reiterated that tomorrow is FRIDAY not Saturday, he took his word back and said the system shuts down FRIDAY too. They didn't even bother looking at the computer or actually helping her, just saying that the system shuts down. What hotels system shuts down? I know customer service is a tiring job, as she works customer service too so always is respectable and didn't want to bother them more as they clearly did not want to help her out. I go in Friday, ask the same question and was helped out with room prices for guests. Don't know why my bride had to deal with horrible customer service as she was just asking for room prices. Terrible customer service at the front desk. The hallways smelled like urine and the lighting system made no sense. (Either all off or on with a switch)

Yelp
Needed to come out from CA to support my works Aurora location and was recommended this hotel by two peers. The hotel is great, have stayed here 3 different times and each time the staff is super friendly and helpful. The entrance downstairs on the 1st floor even has a coffee shop and a Ben & Jerrys. 2nd floor lobby is very nice and there are several amenities. Great spot on the 2nd floor lobby if you wanted to hang out in their lounge area. The rooms I've had are always clean and aesthetically pleasing, nice design and layout. Mini fridge, coffee machine, TV in the rooms are great. Furniture / decor in these rooms are great. A good amount of lighting in the room however I do wish it came with a ceiling light for slightly more light in the evening. The bathroom is also very nice, accurate to what is posted on their listings on the site. Heat / AC work very well. Best part is everything you need is within walking distance. The Riverwalk, restaurants, book stores, you name it you're in downtown. Housekeeping staff are always very nice and día. Great job servicing the rooms.

Yelp
Great place for a romantic interlude or just a personal self indulgent, pampering experience. My eighty year old mom loved the experience and service. Great places to visit around the hotel to eat and shop. Naperville equals quality in every way

Yelp
The pics on Yelp don't do Hotel Indigo Naperville justice ~ it's an even more gorgeous hotel with cool rooms to make you feel special each time you walk in the room! The rooms are very clean and spacious, and the bathrooms are huge! seriously a perfect hotel room ~ regardless if you're in a standard room or a suite (we had both). each room our group had, were different artwork ~ so cool! - tall ceilings even in the shower - rainfall shower head - soft pillows - plenty of space for luggage - free garage parking - great staff - quiet rooms Perfect spot with Empire next door (ish)! Are there more Hotel Indigos across the US? ;) only downfall to some is that your key only allows you on your floor, so if you have other people in your party on another floor, they can't come by your room without your escort aka key. but that may be a nice thing for some ;)

Yelp
If you're booking an event at this hotel, make sure you read all aspects of the contract. My wife's company booked a block of rooms for July and unfortunately the event was canceled. Upon letting them know over 90 days before the event was to happen, they said there was still a cancellation fee that needed to be paid. Their cancellation fee was 90% of the room rate for all rooms that were in the block. They had blocked 15 rooms for three days each. They wanted to charge them $154 per night for 45 nights! I think this is completely unacceptable considering they had three months to re-book the rooms. The company argued with them back-and-forth about this and they would not budge. Hotel Indigo said that they were just going to charge the credit card on file. Her company also has an employee that comes into town once a month for several days at a time. They told Hotel Indigo that they would move his business to their hotel for these days if they could take those nights off of the 45 nights they were charging. They declined and were not willing to work with them to reduce this charge. I bet they will never book another event at this hotel again.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed there for a weekend getaway. Wow !!!! Unbelievable!!! Everything from the customer service at the desk to the service in the room was top notch !! We loved our king suite with a balcony. The most comfortable bed and the most amazing pillows !!! The room is super swanky and has all modern amenities. I fell in love with the sliding bathroom door. It's solid stained glass and a masterpiece in itself. We ordered room service. The food arrived hot and tasted awesome !!! The burger is very filing and for dessert we had the chocolate cake ! So good. We will recommend this hotel to everyone we know !! James and his team are incredible !!!

Yelp
I checked in for a solo night away as a tired mama. I was so surprised and pleased when they placed me on the top floor at an end room! Quiet, not a lot of traffic in the hallways and I don't think I had neighbors. Win! But I have trouble sleeping, and with a noon check out I was so excited to catch up. Well, housekeeping doesn't communicate with front desk I suppose. I got six knocks on the door about every half hour from 8:00 on. So I gave up and went home still tired. This is unfortunate because we have used this hotel many times and love it. The housekeeping staff needs to verify check outs better.

Yelp
I had to change my reservation due to a death in my family. I talked with Scott at the front desk and he helped me with the changes. I was very appreciative of him offering his condolences. It means a lot when people show compassion! We need more people in the world like you Scott!

Yelp
Great location just at the edge of the "heart of everything" means quick walk to all the hip spots while feeling not overwhelmed. Very convenient parking in attached garage with dedicated hotel spots. Although only limited interaction was needed, staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Seemed like good value for the price. Only downsides were their interpretive embracing of the idiotic recent hotel trend of not putting bathroom doors in, here it was a sliding barn style that doesn't provide much in the way of privacy, and the room doors apparently make for ideal conditions for other guests to play who can slam a door the loudest at 1am.

Yelp
We decided to check out this new hotel's restaurant tonight (Plank), which currently does not have its own Yelp listing. There's no need to brave bad weather or drive around looking for parking ...the parking garage is attached and convenient. That's a plus. To get to the restaurant, enter through the hotel lobby and make a right. It is visually appealing. Modern. European. Swanky. You have your choice of seating in the restaurant. There is a bar with two tvs, tables, booths and counter height tables with stools. It is all visually appealing, but the wood stools look uncomfortable so we opt for a booth. The hotel opened a couple of months ago, but most people probably don't know that yet. There was only one other couple at Plank, and they were having drinks at the bar. Naperville is obviously a town of many fine restaurants, and it feels like this place has already decided it won't even try to compete. It almost feels like it wants to apologise from the get-go. The menu is simple, but offers something for almost everyone. My husband had a fancy burger and I went with salmon. I ordered a hummus appetizer which came out with my entree (which also took a long time to arrive). There was nothing wrong with any of our choices, there just want anything special either. Of course, it doesn't take a degree in culinary school to know an appetizer should be served before the main dish, so there's that. The salmon did not seem to be well seasoned, but it wasn't dried out and without taste either. It was fine. We decided to order desert and was told the item I chose was no longer available and should have been taken off the menu a while ago. We ended up sharing a flourless cake that wasn't terrible but probably was from the nearest grocery store. It may be worth giving it another shot in about a year when the area is more active, but with so many other places to dine within walking distance, the Plank just comes up short.

Yelp
Very comfortable, great location near the river walk and everything in downtown Naperville. Easy check-in and check-out, free parking in attached garage.

Yelp
Where do I begin. We booked 2 rooms... premium $$. There is ZERO food. No room service, no restaurant/ bar, even though website said it's open. After check in, I inquired about food, and was told that due to covid the kitchen is closed. A) website says otherwise B) every other hotel in IL has a kitchen open. Every. One. No remote in the room, and waited 20min to get a new one. Plug is broken & stuck in socket. Stay in a motel 6.... you'll get more for your money 1000%

Yelp
I booked a one night stay to celebrate my wife's birthday. We enjoy going out for dinner and drinks in Naperville, and the Indigo made for a perfect staycation. The location was great right on the river walk, and it's super close to the nightlife. The style of the hotel is very modern and kind of eclectic. It's not your run of the mill hotel with generic furnishings. The staff was phenomenal! Entering the hotel we were greeted by Kevin Serio who was extremely friendly and inviting. We mentioned our plans to go out on the town, and he gave us some great recommendations and made us feel right at home. After he explained the layout/features of the hotel we went to our room and were surprised to find such stylish decor. The finishes made it seem like we were staying in a trendy downtown Chicago hotel. Overall, our stay was Excellent! My wife really enjoyed her birthday, and Kevin Serio and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our time there special. We will be back and will recommend it to friends.

Yelp
Nice room. Great location. Nonexistent service. No housekeeping during your stay. I understand COVID poses difficulties for hotels but all other "full service" hotels give you the option to have housekeeping. Yet we pay just as much. They even charge you for the coffee in the lobby that is always complementary elsewhere.

Yelp
This is the first time I've traveled since Covid-19 and from the moment we arrived at the hotel, I was impressed. The staff at the reception desk were friendly and the lobby was warm and inviting. All areas of the hotel were clean and we felt very comfortable. The location is ideal for accessing the charming downtown area of Naperville. We didn't need to drive anywhere as all was accessible by walking. The only area that I felt could use some updating was the limited access to programming on the television. The TV was large but I thought it would be nice to have access to streaming services. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Yelp
The owners of this hotel think themselves to be fancier than they are. For almost $300 for one night, I was expecting to have one of the best nights of sleep of my life. Unfortunately, the rooms are loud both inside and out. Because there is no carpeting, EVERYTHING echoes loudly. And the sliding bathroom door and lack of a bathroom fan leave nothing to the imagination if you are sharing the room with someone. Every noise outside the room is perfectly audible inside, whether it is your neighbor, or the people in the hallways or the FREAKING WEDDING THAT IS ONE FLOOR BELOW YOURS. I heard every door open and close in the hall, and got to enjoy at least an hour of the wedding dj's set before that party ended. We opted for a river view, but that is nothing special, so I wouldn't recommend paying more for that.

Yelp
Our family and friends had a phenomenal weekend stay, for our son's wedding, thanks to the team at Hotel Indigo Naperville. We are extremely grateful to Sydni, Mike, Ashley and Maddie for taking care of every detail. We thank them for their guidance in planning, efficiency, professionalism and kindness throughout. Check in was a breeze and all welcome boxes were handed out. The lobby and guest rooms are immaculate and beautiful. I highly recommend Hotel Indigo Naperville!!

Yelp
Great convenient location with connected parking, clean. As of early September restaurant on rooftop was open but lounge bar want open yet, felt like it was responding safely to COVID concerns.

Yelp
We had our wedding ceremony & reception at Elements, which is connected to Hotel Indigo. We had two rooms and our guests also stayed at the hotel. My husband's suite was very small in comparison to mine and we were told we would both have the largest suites. Reason being, our bridal parties were to get ready and photographers to take pictures. The front desk worker quickly solved the issue and found him an available suite that was the correct size. Overall the stay was very nice. The rooms were clean and modern. The front desk answered any questions or needs efficiently. Cons: There were 3 sections to the hotel, two of which we noticed had similar room numbering. My guest block should have all been near each other, but guests were spread out in separate sections. I wish we could have been all in one section. Lastly, there was no food available. The restaurant was closed for obvious reasons, but room service was also unavailable. I found this odd as it could easily be a no-contact service if you wished and still offered guests food.
