"Located in the Gaslamp Quarter, the recently constructed Hotel Indigo San Diego toes the line between hip and historic. The eco-chic boutique property prides itself on achieving LEED certification and boasts such unique features as a 4,000-square-foot green roof and a business center with Macs and iPads. History plays out in the hotel’s neighborhood story: an ode to the Wild West and the founding of San Diego. Boldly designed rooms are outfitted with modern cherry blossom linens, vibrant murals, and oversized cushioned headboards. Clean up with Aveda bath products in your spa-inspired shower, and wake up to your own music thanks to an in-room iHome docking station. High-definition flat screens with premium cable and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel mean you can stay as connected as you wish. At sunset go up to Level 9 Rooftop Bar for stunning city views and craft cocktails. Daily happy hour from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. sweetens the deal."

I enjoyed my stay, the Hotel Staff was very friendly, the room was bigger than a lot of stayed at in other places. Bigger than what I expected. The location is close to Petco park and other places you can go walking to. Valet service is $65 a night. Was disappointed with parking, if you aren’t planning to leave the downtown area or will minimally, get dropped off. There is a $32 amenity fee which was also a surprise. I normally do a lot better reading over fees, getting a place with free parking, just over looked it. If you’re going to major even at petco park, definitely the place to stay at. Would do it all over again

I booked this hotel as a birthday present for my mom. The hotel staff was incredible and very helpful. The room was very spacious and had a really great view. The parking is expensive but there are lots of parking garages near the hotel. If i find myself in San Diego again I will definitely be staying here.

all around a WONDERFUL experience. Front desk staff made everything special, Helena gave us some great dinner recommendations. Everyone is really attentive and the locations perfect for a weekend out in gaslamp!! Also shout out to valet for being attentive to getting car doors, definitely a luxury feel.

Hotel Indigo Gaslamp District San Diego has an unbeatable location right by the baseball stadium. Most of the staff were great, and Skylar especially stood out—helpful, personable, and a joy every time I interacted with him. Helena seemed a bit rushed and snappy when I asked for help, but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt that it may have just been a tough day. Rooms are modern and comfortable, though water stocking was inconsistent, and valet parking is pricey with limited space to unload.||The rooftop bar has amazing views and delicious drinks, though food options (like chips and salsa) could be improved. Breakfast staff was excellent, and the burger was definitely a highlight. Expect lines at check-in and valet since the hotel stays busy, but that’s the tradeoff for the location.||Overall, a solid 4-star stay. Minor inconveniences aside, the views, location, and standout staff like Skylar made the experience enjoyable, and I would return.

Had a wonderful stay here. I could not give more thanks to Gabriel for how friendly and caring he was throughout my stay. Props to him! The staffs really friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend and definitely planning to come back soon.

For what seemed to be such a nice hotel, we had a pretty bad experience overall. A week before arrival, we got an email from the hotel saying we’d have to pay an additional $150 in fees. When we checked in, we found out we actually had to pay $150 per night in holds that would eventually be refunded. Although it was just a hold, this is a significant amount of money to have held for almost two weeks. The front desk associate told us we could drop our stuff off in the room then come back to the desk to make sure we were charged correctly. When we did that, she just repeated herself and wasted more of our time. Then later, she called our room and continued to repeat herself and waste even more of our time. We also had an issue with the AC in our room. We called the front desk, which was difficult to get a hold of, and they said they were sending someone up to check on it. We waited three hours but no one ever showed up and the issue was never addressed. The walls are also thin and I could hear guests from a neighboring room fighting at 2 am. Also, despite housekeeping coming into our room each day, our soaps were never refilled so we were out of body wash the last two days. On our last morning, we inquired about using the $15 meal credit that was included in the amenity fee, but we were told that you can’t use that on the morning of check out. That seems incredibly stupid as the morning we are checking out and heading to airport is the only morning we were interested in trying their breakfast anyway. Overall, I would never stay at another Hotel Indigo again, and will probably stay away from IHG altogether because I’ve had better experiences with every other hotel chain I’ve tried.

Google
It was the perfect location and within walking distance of my destination. The beds were super comfortable. Wish I could have adjusted the thermostat to be a lower temp in the room, didn’t feel like it got cold enough. Little disappointed that the shower had discolored marks on the floor that made it look dirty. There wasn’t any body wash in the shower when I arrived and I noticed hair on the counter from a less than thorough clean. The gym area was fine, but small. It could stand to be bigger as it’s really not meant for more than one person at a time if you’re trying to lift weights. We had 4 people at one point and were trying to find any floor space not in someone else’s way. There was only one exercise mat and one workout bench.

A nice hotel, great location. Housekeeping was a bit inconsistent. No visit one day, no washcloths another day and no toilet paper the last day. All quickly fixed by the front desk, but they should not have to get involved. At check-in they tried to give us a non-Petco view room. We paid for a view room, they quickly corrected it. They charge a $32 amenity fee and say that covers the $15 food/beverage credit, two bottles of water, coffee in the lobby and local restaurant discounts. No choice to opt out and no warning about the fee other than the 2-sided memo they give you at check-in. Small local taxes also, but those happen everywhere. $65 a day valet parking is all they offer - no surprise here though. Despite the above, we'd return. Room was nice, bed was comfortable and view was amazing. Staff were all very friendly. A short walk to everything.

Yelp
I've stayed at this hotel several times due to work or just a girls trip, and each experience has been fantastic. The customer service is consistently excellent, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. They've even offered me late check-out on multiple occasions, especially when I mention that I work the graveyard shift, which I really appreciate. The hotel itself is always clean and well-kept, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The amenities are top-notch, including free Wi-Fi and great water pressure in the showers. I've also stayed here for a few girls' trips, and it's the perfect spot--close to plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Plus, the hotel has a rooftop bar with stunning views, which is a great place to unwind. The only downside is the parking situation. There's no free parking on-site, and you'll need to either pay for street parking, or opt for valet parking. But overall, it's a wonderful place to stay in a great location, and I'll definitely keep coming back.

Yelp
There's something to be said about visiting San Diego. While it's just as far from me as Los Angeles is, my husband prefers staying in San Diego rather than LA. So when I had a free anniversary night via my IHG account (yay, for hotel branded CCs), we decided a quick staycation in SD was the way to go. Granted, we could have chosen any locale with awards availability, but San Diego won out. With my IHG card we had a few hotels to choose from but Hotel Indigo won out because the pet fee at the sister IHG San Diego hotel was $150. I called in advance to let Hotel Indigo know that we were bringing our dog, Suki and was informed that their pet fee was $20. It used to be free but I get that hotels need to charge a cleaning fee these days. We had a great experience at the Westin in San Diego with Suki so we were curious to see what the differences would be. We decided to drive down after breakfast. I did a quick packing for an overnight stay and made sure to pack Suki's things as well. My husband was in charge of his bag. We had previously discussed bringing snacks but ended up not doing that. We arrived at the hotel around 1 pm and had valet park the car. The overnight parking at Hotel Indigo is $59 (with in & out privileges). You can opt to park elsewhere overnight but this was downtown SD near Petco Park so I felt more secure parking it in the underground structure of the hotel. They do not offer EV charging at Hotel Indigo but I hope they offer it in the future. We checked in at the front desk and was greeted warmly. As an IHG cardholder, I have some elite status so they upgraded our standard king room to a corner king room with a view of Petco Park. We also got free WiFi access and free drink vouchers usable at the rooftop restaurant/bar Borrego. Not only did we get to check in early, we also requested late check-out so we literally were on property for 24 hours! Win! Our room was pet friendly with LVP flooring and two sweet floor to ceiling windows. Suki really enjoyed viewing out of the windows. We asked the front desk if they could bring her a dog bed and they brought 2! They also brought bowls for her but since we brought our own, we refused those. We ended up putting the two dog beds together to make an XL bed for her which she sprawled herself over (see photo). The shower had excellent water pressure and hot water. We noticed that the bottled water in the room was a $5 charge but we didn't touch those bottles. We found a filtered water dispenser in the Fitness center on the first floor so we refilled our water bottles there. They have one Peloton bike in the Fitness center, along with an elliptical machine, two treadmills, and weights. Our room at a really cute Frigidaire mini fridge which was perfect for my husband's iced tea. We did not use the K-Cup machine since we opted to get coffee around the corner. The king sized bed was soft and almost too soft according to my husband. We had requested extra pillows which was brought up by housekeeping but they were too firm for me. I sleep on my back and need soft semi-flat pillows or they aggravate my neck. I did not enjoy any of the pillows which is my only complaint about this room. We liked the room layout which included an extra hallway leading to the door. We were worried about being close to the elevators but we didn't hear them at all. There was some street noise overnight but for the most part, the room was fairly quiet. Suki really enjoyed herself, as did we. There is a restaurant and grab & go on the first floor as well but we didn't partake in that. There are many restaurants that were close by which we walked to by foot. This hotel is walkable to the Gaslamp district and we actually like that it's a few blocks away versus being in the center of the Gaslamp. It's also a block away from Petco Park. There is a grocery store a few blocks away and 2 CVS stores in case you need extra supplies. We really liked the location of this hotel and would stay here again in the future. Hotel staff was really friendly and went out of their way to make us feel like esteemed guests. Upon check out, we were billed for the pet fee, parking, and the charges from the rooftop bar. No surprises there. Thanks for the wonderful stay Hotel Indigo. Until next time!

Yelp
Hotel room was clean and everything in the hotel seemed like it was up to date and well kept. Imani was so kind and friendly with the check-in! Lovedddd the voucher for breakfast for 2 that they give you. The breakfast food wasn't your basic intercontinental breakfast too. There also is a rooftop bar that overlooks Petco park that you can make reservations for. Parking: valet only for $59/night but there is another parking garage two blocks away Location: loved being near all the breweries, restaurants (but don't go to Lotus Thai), coffee shops, and only a 5-7 minute walk to Petco Park.

Yelp
A few months ago i stayed at the hotel for a conference since the conference had a special room rate. When i compared other hotels in the area, the rates were higher. Unfortunately, i didnt realize when i booked the room that the Padres would be in the playoffs so the day i arrived, it was a little difficult to get to the hotel due to street closures and limited parking in the area as many people who were going to the game were also parking at the hotel. Overall i thought the room was decent and located only a block away from the meeting location. Also I found that it was also centrally located to a lot of restaurants and i didnt find the noise to be problem even with all the Padres fans partying in the gaslamp area.

Yelp
This hotel packs a mean punch and kick! Located in the Gaslamp quarter and a block away from Petco Park (stadium) how can you not come here. It's clean, up to date and great staff on site. I enjoyed every encounter I had with every staff member from the amazing front desk with Harmony, to my favorite waitress ever at the resturant with Sarah, and to the skilled bartender at their bar with Robert. Just wonderful! This hotel has a couple of key hidden points to talk about... 1. You have a top floor room that overlooks Petco Park. I mean how can you not enjoy this view... just makes this experience way more enjoyable. 2. They have a rooftop bar that also overlooks Petco Park. Unfortunately, when I visited the bar was under major construction. They are completely upgrading it for a more enjoyable experience. This alone will make me come back again to experience first hand. Whether you are staying here or not, this rooftop bar looks to be an awesome time when fully completed. I was looking down from my room and seeing the construction first hand. Take a look at the pics and you'll see how great this hotel is... see you next time Indigo! TIP: Valet parking offered here, but you may also find yourself using one of the nearby open parking garagaes/lots. Do your homework.

Yelp
What a disappointment that an overall very nice hotel has to resort to a scam to add in revenue. We prepaid through a 3rd party which Harmony, who checked us in, reminded us. Then she told us she needed a $70 deposit for incidentals, for things we might charge to our room, and it would be returned if we did not use it. She also explained that we would have credits for two waters and $15 for food from the lobby store. From reading other reviews, I thought to clarify that these credits expired the day I checked in and she confirmed that the credits expired at midnight. Then when we went to check out the next day, the girl told us a $32 amenity fee was going to be added. We protested saying that we were told we were completely prepaid, but we know the drill with scammers. I will update the review if somehow the $70 stays on my account. Very disappointed. If somehow this hotel still appeals to you, we did avoid the $59 valet parking charge by parking in a "$20 until 9 am the next day" lot a block over.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite hotel in the Gaslamp area of San Diego. It isn't the largest or the fanciest, but its location is perfect (East Village) as you're only blocks away from the busy Gaslamp Quarter and a quick 2-3 minute walking distance to Petco Park and many local breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, and more! I've stayed at this hotel more than a handful of times and I'm always quick to recommend it when friends go to San Diego. My favorite thing about this hotel is the "Level 9" Rooftop Bar (which was closed for construction this time around so I didn't get pictures). The rooftop area has some fire pits, a glass wall so you can look at the city, a full bar, restrooms, and food service. It's also a very dog friendly hotel -- as is all San Diego -- and yes, the dogs can enjoy the epic views on the rooftop too! I recommend this hotel -- even if it's just to visit their restaurant or rooftop bar!

Yelp
Decided to stay here a few days due to not being able to get on the Naval Base until after the weekend. The staff was very friendly; however, it was hard getting a good night's sleep. The Gas Lamp Quarter is very loud, with cars racing up and down the street, the enormous police presence, airplanes passing overhead at all hours of day or night and the lack of the HVAC system's ability to push out air stronger than a fart in the wind. The bathroom did not have an exhaust vent, or good water pressure and the fridge was unplugged upon arrival and very small. Not worth the price.

Yelp
The location is very convenient and in the heart of the Gaslamp district. It's two blocks from Petco field. The room was decent but there were crumbs of some sort on the floor. The toilet was low to the ground (see pic) and hard to get up from; I'm recovering from a medical condition but imagine it'd be difficult for others as well. The hotel allows dogs and the elevators smelled like urine and there were obvious traces pet dander in the room. The reception staff was hit and miss, mostly business like, the cold detached kind, not the warm kind that makes you feel greeted. They only have valet parking, but the valet staff was the highlight, very helpful and courteous. Will likely not be staying here again.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying my experience here overall was lovely and the valet + front desk staff were very professional, accommodating, and friendly. The woman who assisted me when checking gave us a complimentary upgrade since I am a diamond elite or whatever rewards member through IHG. The room seemed very similar to what I thought I booked online but definitely appreciated the upgrade. I was also given a $10 credit to use at their convenience store or restaurant which was nice although I did not use it since there was water and coffee inside the room. There was also a cute little mini refrigerator and freezer which was nice. I am not too sure how long this hotel has been around but it feels like it's very much due for a refresh. It feels a little dated. I usually stay at the Pendry or Kimpton which are both nearby and offer a much more elevated experience in terms of aesthetic, furnature, and room amenities. Since I was going to a wedding just around the block I decided to try indigo. They also do not accept Apple Pay which I thought was strange since majority of the IHG properties I've stayed at over the years have always accepted Apple Pay. I want to say parking was like $60 which in my opinion was insane.. with Pendry it's $50 and sometimes they even cover it depending on which room you book and how often you've stayed with them. I believe the Kimpton is around $58. San Diego parking is expensive in general which is unfortunate. Beds were cozy.. view was spectacular.. bathroom lighting could use some work.. shower was large and water pressure was great.. towels were good.. they included a steamer as well which was useful. hotel is positioned nicely and pretty much within walking distance of all things fun. Will I be back? Possibly? Idk.. it was fine. If I'm staying for more than one night probably not. But if I'm just in & out I'll consider it. Overall it's a pretty solid spot! She just needs a fresh look and 2023 technology.

Yelp
The hotel front desk needs to better. On the morning of 5/4, Renee and Andrew (front desk employees) along with Martin (manager) delivered quite possibly the most disgusting experience I've witnessed from the hospitality industry. One of our guests whose key card was de magnetized, tried to get it re activated but was not allowed to have his key card re issued. The hotel desk, even with the provided information, refused to contact my friend who booked the room. The following result, our guest needed to wait in the lobby from 3am until Renee called San Diego Police on him. Thankfully the police were able to confirm the reservation information and de escalate. Unfortunately, our guest was never allowed to enter the room, the hotel never reached out to our friend who booked the room despite reservation details being correctly confirmed and we returned with our friend waiting outside the hotel at 6am. In addition, the snickering, laughing and complete lack of professionalism shows the type of leadership and culture the staff is used to providing its customers. Overall you had a staff fail to properly confirm reservation details, provide a world class customer experience and then escalate to call the police on one of its guests because their key card was not working. Do better Indigo.

Yelp
A beautiful hotel located right in the heart of the fun side of San Diego. I love this hotel for its stylish interior decor and its beautiful views of the city. Stayed here for a concert and really enjoyed most of my time there. The lobby is small but has a nice sitting area surrounded by a water design; the restaurant is typically empty and similarly the bar; I don't think this is their fault as there are just so many great restaurants and bars in the area that folks would rather experience those. I appreciated that the elevator was very quick; and the size of the room was actually fairly large for a king bed reservation. The bed was extremely comfortable and I enjoyed taking in the view and sounds of the city and always having a safe comfortable place to return to after a night out. I did check out the sky bar on the 9th floor and ordered two drinks; unfortunately the bar tender said I couldn't have two at a time so I just paid and left, and she also spent a weird amount of time looking at my ID as if I was trying to order drinks and was underage (I'm about to be 40). The front desk got weird about letting us stay an extra 30 minutes when I requested it and told me there'd be a charge if we stayed longer than that. Took one star off for the snooty staff but overall this is one of my favorite hotels in San Diego and I'll continue to return, I do recommend it.

Cihan D.

Yelp
I had quite an awkward experience with the hotel staff and their hotline while trying to cancel my reservation. When you call to cancel, they ask for your phone number "in case the line disconnects." However, as soon as I provided my number, the line was disconnected. After that, I couldn't reach them using my phone number anymore. The only way I could get through again was by calling without showing my caller ID. Even then, after trying several different routes to cancel my reservation, I eventually had to call the front desk directly. Unfortunately, they hung up before providing me with a cancellation confirmation or room cancellation number. This kind of practice is quite disappointing.

Yelp
Skylar is an amazing worker here, he brings out the best energy to make you feel so welcomed as a guest to this hotel. When we fell into a small inconvenience but he went out of his way to help us out with no questions asked!! Would come back again just for the service we received from him with this beautiful and eventful hotel.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at this downtown hotel with unique views directly into Petco Park. The location is fantastic, close to numerous bars and restaurants. The rooftop bar was a highlight, offering great views and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and the hotel is dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us. However, be aware that there are additional charges for parking ($59/night) and amenities($29/night). Overall, a pleasant experience with just a couple of drawbacks.

Yelp
This hotel due to location and the fact that dog friendly. I really appreciate it. They provide a dog bed and water bowl when you stay with a pet. I stayed for five nights with a friend and her dog. The room was nice and the beds were quite comfortable. My main complaints about the room was that the A/C would shut off at night when we were sleeping making it quite warm and the shower floor was slippery. But the water pressure and shower head were great. We tried both Table 509 the main restaurant and the newly opened Borrego. Service at table 509 was wonderful. We received great breakfast service every morning we were there from Sergio and Nathalia. We got great drinks from bartender Mario, his sangria is amazing. We also got good service from him the couple of mornings that he worked. Table 5 and nine was serving the Borrego menu a couple of times. We tried the Chasca (amazing), shoestring fries (well fried but the piqullo ketchup was more like a sauce and it coated 3/4 of the bottom of the plate the fries were served in so they got soggy) and the chipotle chicken Caesar salad (the bite had chipotle forever were great, but the shredded chicken was shredded unevenly and the seasoning was very uneven). Food and beverage manager, Elaine Dos Reís, was very understanding and took the fries off the bill. We enjoyed chatting with her and all of the staff at Table 509. Borrego did just open recently, so hopefully this is just working kinks out in the kitchen. A few from the terrace, and the drinks were good. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Yelp
This beautiful hotel is staffed with exceptional people that took excellent care of my very large team. Business trips can become routine and dull, but Jesus and his entire team made it extra fun and special. Whenever we're back in San Diego, this is where we'll stay. Thanks team!!

Yelp
The hotel indigo is one of our favorite places to stay in San Diego both for its amazing location and even better customer service. On this trip we brought our dog for the first time and especially appreciated how well behaved all the dog guests in the building are, even for our nervous chihuahua. The trip was made even better by the hotels employee Harmony who took care of us so well and provided the best reccs. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
While the hotel room itself was clean and a good size, the hotels website had inaccurate information. I had booked this hotel months ago for a conference I was going to be attending and the sole reason for choosing them was that it stated there was an outdoor pet relief area (see photo). I even called a few weeks before our planned stay to let them know I would be bringing my two dogs as there was no place in the online booking process to state if you are bringing dogs. After check in, we went to the 9th floor to access the pet relief area to which we were told they had gotten rid of the pet relief area a little while ago. While things can change, this should have been communicated when I called to say I was bringing my dogs and should be completely removed from website as this is false advertisement (the photo is as of today which still has the false information up). Outside of this, the only other gripe is they told me at check in I had a $10 credit to use during my stay for their small market area. When we were checking out we wanted to grab a couple of waters and were told we couldn't use that credit on the day of checkout- this also had not been communicated during check-in. With so many other hotels around the area, I don't think I would book here again.

Yelp
Cool spot downtown. Location is great, room decor is super cool. Good view. So why a 3? I really hate to give low ratings, but the staff here (other than front desk Erika today) thought they were staying at the hotel. Aloof, disengaged, and happy to just hand with their other coworkers. Example.... We brought down 6 pieces from a weeklong business trip to load into a car. 4 bellman or whatever staff were 10 feet away and not one ever said "need a hand?" or made one move to help. Isn't that kinda their job? Guess not here. Onward, too many cool spots that do care.

Yelp
Cute hotel and very friendly staff, but I have to ding stars for some cleanliness issues. The floor was pretty dirty, and the tv remote had some very nasty stuff on it. Grossed me out for sure.
google avatar

Yelp
Rooms and hotel are pretty average, but lots of issues. Lots of noise from construction outside our window. No hand soap. Low water pressure. $58 for parking (wow) $25 service fees Roof top bar closed for remodeling. Would have been great if we knew this before booking this hotel.

Ben S.

Yelp
The worst experience my wife and I have ever had. They charge you 60$ to park in their parking garage and they cancel reservations on you and don't tell you until you get there. I've never had an establishment make me feel so disrespected. Please do not bring your family here.

Yelp
This hotel was so charming, clean, and in a amazing location. Michael was so extremely helpful, kind, and informative. He made our stay great ¨

Yelp
If I could give this place 0 stars I would but this 1 star I'll shoot over to the manager (Erica who seems to be your saving grace here) working New Year's Eve night because the rest of your staff left you in the dust to deal with chaos. So look, I get it's New Year's Eve weekend and people are excited! I love that! I came out to the hotel to work an event across the street and let me tell you, it was a nightmare from the start. We left our bags at the hotel and went out on the scene. We had great food, the vibes were unmatched in San Diego this weekend. We got back to our hotel, normally quiet time is at 10pm but lemme tell you, people were roaming the halls till around 3am... it was awful. So we don't get much sleep and have a jam packed day on Friday so we go around the city again, having a ball and eating great food. We leave the hotel one last time late night to go grab a bite, we get back and surprised to see the hotel still lively after 12a. Don't think much of it till people are slamming their hotel room doors till 9am... from the moment we tried to lay our head down till the moment we needed to be up for work the following day. Not only are people slamming doors, my 8 year old daughter and mother in law let me know there were people partying till 5am in the room next to them. Security was called THREE times and they only did something when we finally called the police because your hotel didn't do anything. We complained the following day and got a night comped which was wonderful, thank you so much for that. We work our event and come back to the hotel again around 12/1am. The hotel cut off their "24 hour room service" on a busy night. That's ok, we ordered DoorDash. 2.5 hours later, our DoorDasher came to the hotel and gave our pizza to guests who claimed it was theirs. Now it's fine right, we wasted 2 hours and will end up getting a refund for our pizza but we didn't feel safe at our hotel after this situation. No security guard to help, front desk wasn't even able to help. It was the manager because her entire staff called out..... super super super super unsafe. By the way, my boyfriend has a broken leg so it takes us a moment to do anything and rely on our people to help. We left our bags with the hotel thinking we'd get them all back. We load up, get back to LA to see they kept one of our bags.... And said it was our fault lol because we didn't check... I do not recommend staying here. They don't make you feel safe at all. ESPECIALLY on holiday weekends. OH and the kicker, their reservation team switched my reservation and then they CHARGED ME WITH A NO SHOW FOR MY FIRST RESERVATION! And I still haven't gotten the refund lol BUYER BEWARE. IHG does not handle customer service well at all.

Yelp
This place is the worst I bought a room for me and my partner here and I left to Mexico for business when I dropped him of with an access card he was denied entry even after i had paid for the room in person got two key cards for one night it was a disaster they made him sleep in the lobby and I had to cut my trip super short just to come back to the room had this girl Renee at the front desk rude as fuck and the so called management Martin couldn't even. Help me with a refund for the room or anything eere guards if the san diego area serving and protecting our community and they kept me and my partner from sleeping and charged us 400$ for a one Night stay would never recommend this place ever beware of the scams Marriott and there policy's have in order to make there money. Will never come to this hotel and on top of it all they called the police on me for trying to get there first and last name to make an incident report to there own company. There's always a loop whole for things big corporations do to hurt the smaller folks , they are so afraid of loosing there jobs they couldn't even help me or give me anyone's name or I'd number to report this Marriott will never be going there ever again I do not give consent if my picture being taken by Renee with her phone on top of it all she called the police on us because she felt threatened, we paid 345$ to not use the room not sleep in the room for one night thats what it cost and be kicked out because if the keys dont works its our fault not mariots and ther customer service line is the wrong number because marriot is a company under another company not mariot and the customer service line will hang up on you what a waste

Yelp
Hotel is good. Rooms are decent. gym sucks, staff is cool as hell but that valet is gonna be this hotels downfall. Andy. This guy has the worst attitude. Never in my life have I ran into more problems with valet. Just because you hate your life doesn't mean you have to take it out on me every time i come get my car out of valet. Not to mention I watched the valet guy wreak someone's car coming out of the garage... Not worth the $59 risk.

Yelp
Had an issue with the billing portion of my stay and called three separate times. Each time the team member was very friendly and attentive to my issue. Renee especially was extremely helpful in figuring out the issue. Great staff. Thank you all!

Yelp
This is my favorite hotel in Gaslamp. The service is impeccable. Alya and Harmony at the front desk were so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The valet that greeted us knew everything about the parking on that street to ensure we wouldn't get a ticket and assisted us with our luggage (not his job since we didn't valet that day) Anything we asked for was handled professionally, warmly and with care. Our room was stellar with a gorgeous view of Petco park. Loved that we got to bring our pup with us. The hotel is beautiful but what really makes it special is the people. Hard to find that kind of service these days.

Yelp
Love the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. The location is walking distance to PetCo Park and the Gaslamp district.

Yelp
Weekend Stay in SD close enough to restaurants in the Gaslamp area. Clean, spacious rooms and friendly, helpful hotel staff. David at the front desk gave me a paper map and recommended restaurants and nearby sites. The location is good but don't opt for the room and breakfast option because you're better off walking down to Copa Vida for a far superior and economical breakfast experience. We would plan to stay here again. My recommendation is to offer water in the lobby or a water bottle filling station because the Indigo property advertises to be environmentally friendly. You could even brand the reusable water bottles and give them to guests at check-in. We had an enjoyable 3 night stay.

Yelp
Pros: -Nice room - Dog friendly hotel - No charge for pets Cons: - There is an additional fee that is NOT disclosed when you make the reservation online (in addition to the taxes and fees you're already charged for)- $25 per day - which you can use to get 2 bottles of water plus a few cheap snacks from their marketplace. When I asked to waive the $50 for two nights I was going to be there since I've already paid for the booking in full before my arrival, they refused. Two hours later i came back and stood behind another couple checking in they were already explained about this secret fee. They couple asked to waive it. The employee at the reception said "Since its your first time with us, i will waive it". When I approached her and let her know this was my first time at the hotel as well and I would like to waive it as well (and also that I heard what she said to them) - she said its not possible because I booked through a third party (my credit company website) - lamest excuse I've heard. It just feels like a dishonest way to make more money. -The night before I had to check out I asked if late check out is possible and they said to call in the morning before 8am (Not sure how's that gonna help me but I said ok). I then called them at 5am when I got up to the bathroom and asked for a late check-out, to which they said "Call us after 9am". I then called at 10am and asked again. They said the latest they can do was 11:30 because they already have too many late check outs (mind you check out time was 11:00 so they gave me 30 minutes...gee, thanks)

Yelp
Worst hotel experience EVER. They checked us in late, literally almost an hour late , (We arrived at noon and they didn't get us checked in till FIVE PM!). They offered us an item from their snack bar to make up for it. No mini fridge so, called the front desk to ask if they could bring a mini fridge. Was told that rooms below the 6th floor don't have them, only for their "elite guests". What a rude explanation. The furniture by the TV was scratched up. The rooftop bar is bland, no decor and no vibe. The hotel does NOT have a pool. They offer guests to use the pool at The Intercontinental 10 minutes away. Really! At $500+ a night one should have Kiss A** Service and all amenities. Topper was a silver haired valet manager with an attitude. There are plenty of hotels to choose from, we will never return to this one. On the positive side, the lobby was pretty, the beds are comfy and the room is decent.

Yelp
Cute hotel that's perfectly located in downtown San Diego/gaslamp. Great customer service, valet attendant went above and beyond to help our group of 5 girls get the best parking spot :) The room was spacious but a little odd it didn't have a mini fridge. All the other amenities are good. Pet friendly too. We hung out at level 9 for a bit. Our bartender made the drinks extra strong and it was nice to just enjoy the views and warm up by the fire pits. Room service was decent too. Had to order breakfast after a night out Overall, would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I have to admit that when we arrived and found out that the rooftop bar was closed for renovation we were disappointed. It was one of the reasons we booked this place. But the service we received from Harmony at the front desk, and Mario at the bar made it an excellent experience. Both of them were so friendly and went above and beyond suggesting places to visit and they were spot on with all of them. They really made our trip.

Yelp
The hotel is nice but all their rules and stipulations are not clearly posted for customers nor do they communicate their stipulations very well. First, I arrived early for an afternoon meeting and approached the front desk about checking in early. The person at the front desk was rather short/snippy stating that is a $50 fee. No flexibility at all. Then I get the $50 approved by my boss and checkin where the same person at the front desk tells me about this amenity fee of $25 I will be charged but I can use for snacks, at the restaurant or for water. She also states she's GIVING me a bit of an upgrade to have frig. I stay overnight and the frig in the room makes a pretty loud noise on and off all night. I go to checkout and grab a couple snacks and ask to use the fee as I was advised and a new front desk person proceeds to tell me I needed to use it my first night in and couldn't redeem on checkout. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND THEY HAVE ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this hotel. Since I have diamond status with IHG we got upgraded to a couple suites...so unexpectedly spacious and one had a perfect view of the padres stadium. The staff was friendly and attentive...I also liked how easy it was to communicate with them via their text line. Would love to come back here.

Yelp
My wife and I have been coming to San Diego for many years and staying different hotels including the Gaslamp quarters. It's been many years we got a hotel in the Gaslamp quarters we like this nice area because the restaurants, bars, shopping including Pet owners Ballpark home of the San Padres. We looking a nice hotel in the Gaslamp quarter my wife found a nice hotel walking distance to restaurants, and also Petco Ballpark called Hotel Indigo San Diego-Gaslamp quarter. The hotel is located in a nice area of the Gaslamp quarters we can Petco Ballpark just walking distance from the hotel and just across the street is Half door Brewing Company. When we arrive they staff greet us and they were very friendly then they us how you the parking garage then we park and went up to our room. We were surprised how the room look so modern we enjoy it very much especially my wife.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel for one night. Upon checking in I was told that there was an extra $25.00 charge for two bottles of water and coffee. I informed the agent that I was not interested in the water or coffee. She responded that it was not a problem and she would take it off the charges. However, my credit card was charged the extra $25. When I called to ask why, I was rudely informed that it is a service that they provide and although I didn't take the water or the coffee they charge for that service. It is sad that a big company has to deceive and nickel and dime their customers.

Yelp
I didn't get any pictures because there are enough on the web. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were nice and it was remolded a few years ago. The staff was very accommodating and breakfast was good. You can order from your room and walk down no pick it up . Nice, because we have puppy! The best thing is they do not charge for your dog which is soooo nice with biscuits at the desk and bowls if you need them. I only wish they would have had a make up mirror like pachanga hotel and casino which I stayed at last week. If your going to Petco Park it's soooo close.

Yelp
Such a cute hotel and location is perfect, what a shame that the two front desk women are so rude and unwelcoming. I walked up to check in to our room and was given a finger in the face by both of them while they continued to type on their computers. As a hostess your one job is to make guests feel welcomed and they both failed. If they are fired I will return!

Yelp
I stayed at the Hotel Indigo in San Diego for a few nights, and it was a great experience, the room was very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly, and it would be hard to beat the location. The manager, bar staff, wait staff, front desk staff and Adrian ensured my stay was a FIRST-CLASS EXPERIENCE! I can't wait to go back. I would recommend this hotel very highly to anyone!

Yelp
My buddies and I stayed here in early October. We were told there would be a $75 hold on our card that would be refunded after taking some fees that Expedia did not collect. Nothing was ever Refunded to us. The receipt we got explained $28 went to local taxes however we're still missing about $50. We reached out to the hotel about it. We were told a manger would reach out to us within 48 hours. We never heard back. I do not like being lied to about the $75 hold dropping and being lied to about a manger reaching out.

Yelp
I stayed here for a work trip. Overall the rooms were tidy and spacious. My room didn't have a stadium view unfortunately. The tv didn't have screen sharing or Netflix which I think is unheard of now. There is only valet parking available which is $50 nightly, atleast when I stayed there. They advertise 24 hour room service, however that is false. Their phone are no longer in service they have a QR code so you can txt your question or whatever you need. Their toiletries smelled great and I love that they also have makeup removing wipes as not many hotels that I've stayed at offer that. My room had a fridge but no microwave so it was kind of pointless. The rooftop bar was also closed when I went so that was a bummer.

Yelp
This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had as a traveller for over 20+ years. I am appalled by the unfriendly staff, the unprofessional check in and check out process, the hour and a HALF it took for us to get my car out, and the way everyone upon check out was packed into a hotel lobby worse than a terminal for an airport. We regret not going with our first pick for a hotel nearby as we were looking for the usual IHG standard. Our front desk receptionist who we later found out was named Harmony, well because she didn't introduce herself, nor did she run is through all of the resort fees, the charges we later explored, etc. We literally found out through the customer next to us. We were handed a piece of paper instead of an explanation, and were given key cards that didn't even work. We were not directed where to go for the room. Spend your $1500 elsewhere. Not worth it for how much we went through. If you do not look white, and wealthy, save yourself the hassle. (We noticed the difference in service) ALSO they ask YOU to come and get their bell hop, load it up yourself, then be your own bell hop up to the room. Not worth the $ - I've had better service at the Comfort Inn or Hostels and motels. The only plus is the location next to Petco Park.
