Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong by IHG

Long overdue review of my wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo Katong. I loved that the room was beautifully decorated and reflected the local Peranakan style (I may be wrong, but beautiful regardless!). The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated that the fitness center was open 24/7 with room keycard access as I was quite jet lagged and went some mornings before 6am. The rooftop infinity pool provided a nice place to cool down, and the view at the top during sunset was fantastic. I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant Baba Chews each morning, and everything was fresh and tasty. ||What really made my experience extra special was the staff, particularly Jamie at the front desk and Christian in the hotel restaurant during breakfast. Jamie always greeted me by name and with a smile since Day 1 and helped me scan upstairs one day when I had my hands full. Christian was the same, always greeted me with a smile, remembered my name and room number the second time he saw me, and also remembered my choice of eggs and coffee. Both Jamie and Christian worked so hard, as I saw them almost daily while I was there, so on the rare occasions when I didn't see them, I was secretly happy that they perhaps got the day off to rest. ||I will definitely consider staying at Hotel Indigo Katong again on my next trip to Singapore. My kid has also already declared he wants to go to the pool there. The neighborhood was also very local and interesting, with lots of conveniences close by.

It was such an awesome stay with our puppy for our birthday! From the moment we first stepped in we were greeted so warmly by front desk Mr Amerul and Mr Bhuvan, both gentlemen were so friendly and helpful. We immediately knew we were gonna have a great time. Furthermore Mr Bhuvan surprised us with a birthday cake and a handwritten card, such a lovely gesture from them. Rooms were so clean, spacious with splendid views and beds were very comfortable. Pet friendly outdoor dining area with freshly squeezed orange juice, breakfast dining staff was so thoughtful and initiated turning on the big fan as he was afraid our puppy will be warm. We will definitely plan another staycation with Hotel Indigo Katong! Never felt so welcome and comfortable

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo. The hotel is beautiful inside, especially how the rooms are done. Lovely furniture pieces. The rooms are more spacious than most Singaporean hotels. The view was great too from a standard room. Staff were all super friendly from the start. We really appreciated that on our last day they let us hang out at the pool area after check out as we had a late night flight. The rooftop pool is wonderful, with cool views over the neighbourhood. The light time views are lovely with all the lights. A special spot. Great location close to lots of the local Katong attractions, lots of food nearby. The i12 shopping centre just next door is handy too.

We were given a sizeable room on the 11th floor with excellent city facing views and all the room facilities you would expect, including a large comfortable king-sized bed and very efficient air conditioning. |The hotel is a modern decor but with a bit of Asian culture running throughout.|The interesting bedroom layout with the separate shower area beyond the bed with its floor to ceiling windows was a bit of a shock at first but actually worked very well. It was just a shame that it was not one way glass because showering with that view would have been fantastic instead of having to pull the blind down. Having the toilet separate from the shower on the other side of the bed was very convenient. The Wi-Fi worked well in the room and the safe was easy to manage.|The roof top infinity swimming pool lived up to the promotion pictures on the website and was fantastic to use late afternoon when you could watch the sun setting over the city.|We found the service levels to be very good throughout and especially at reception.|We didn’t use their attached breakfast facilities as there were lots of other options nearby. |We chose this one due to its location as, having stayed in the centre on previous visits, Katong was a new area for us which we wanted to explore, and we hoped the MRT system would connect us to the rest of the city, and so it proved.|The Marine Parade MRT station is just 5 minutes walk away and 10 minutes gets you to the Gardens of the bay and 30 to 40 minutes basically everywhere else in the city.

Great hotel, great location. Just beside a small shopping centre which have ntuc in it, to get some snacks or food in there. Room is aesthatic, like okd nyonya vibes which i love so much. How i wish the carrom board can be used to play. Toilet have a little smell from the drain. Amendities is great though, aircon not cold during the day but very cold at night. Tv is great, with chromecast unlike other hotels with smart tv. All hotels should have this which can be easy for iphone users. Breakfast was good except not much variety, same goes to the buffet side. Mariel, Nathan, Yati was great to assist me. They were friendly & patient to explain the orders to us. Other than that, we had to pay for carpark which charged us $33 for about a day & half as we did not go out from the hotel. Should have provided carpark since we're staying in the hotel

Excellent hotel in historic area of city. Beautifully decorated and traditional but with all the modern fittings. Very friendly and helpful staff. Roof top pool a bonus with great views over the area. Housekeeping staff went to great effort to keep our room spotless including a tuck down service each night.

The hotel is lovely. Clean, beautifully decorated and in a great location. Location is great - close to airport, walking distance to the beach and in an area with lots of restaurants and shops to explore. A big thank you to Anthony for making our stay extra special. His service and attention to detail was excellent. We spent time in the rooftop pool and bar waiting for our late flight and he made sure we were well looked after, recommended yummy dishes to order as well as a wine selection. Thank you Anthony and all the hotel staff !!

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Indigo Katong Singapore. The service was outstanding, and we truly felt well taken care of. A special thanks to Jolin, who made our experience even better by arranging an early check-in so we could rest, and upgrading us to a room with a beautiful view. Her thoughtful gesture and warm hospitality left a wonderful impression on us. This was my second stay and we’ll definitely be back!

We stayed four nights at the Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong. I was super excited to book this hotel with points! My IHG card was full of points and when you book with IHG, the 4th night is free. With my IHG card, I also had platinum elite status. We arrived via Grab car from Changi Airport and walked into the cool air conditioned lobby. It was wonderful considering the humidity. We were greeted by Tiffanie and she got us checked in. We were given a room on the 14th floor and it was lovely. We were told that we had been upgraded from the standard King room which was really nice. It didn't have a bathtub but the shower that was separate from the toilet area was really nice. The layout of the room is spacious. The closet space was great along with the fluffy robes. There was a Nespresso machine along with nostalgic candies in the cabinet. I loved the White Rabbit candy from my childhood. The amenities in the room were lovely. The hotel also has a rooftop pool which was really nice on the warm days we were staying there. We also checked out the gym but didn't use it. Our favorite thing was the complimentary refillable water bottles in the room. There was a distilled water machine downstairs by the lobby entrance which we fully utilized since they charge for water at restaurants in Singapore. I had brought my water bottle from home so I was happy they gave us this option. The staff was so nice too. Everyone I encountered was lovely. The hotel is in the Katong area near shopping malls, loads of restaurants, and a bus station. The Katong neighborhood is pretty much a foodie mecca. We were down the street from a lot of popular restaurants. We were not close to Marina Bay but had to hop on a bus and a metro to get there. We also utilized the Grab cars when needed. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel since it was further away from the busier touristy spots.

Such a comfortable & wonderful stay! We stayed here to be closer to the airport and it was a good location. The hotel has as much charm as the neighborhood which made this stay more memorable. The room was clean and spacious. During our stay here we relaxed on the rooftop pool which has nice skyline views.

Great location near shopping, malls and plazas, and restaurants. If you're looking to try the Katong area I highly recommend the convenience of the hotel. It is also very clean and has a lot of vibrant and authentic flare.

What a great inexpensive hotel with very friendly staff and excellent uniquely decorated rooms, they put a toilet and sink along the hallway wall and a second sink / shower right up again the the windows. Too bad I was only here over night, I will have to stay here again the next time I come to Singapore.

This hotel is wonderful! We had hospitable service everywhere, the room service was delicious, and the decor was fun and comfortable! They even sent cake up to us as it was our honeymoon! Look forward to returning!

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in a while. The check in process was quick and easy. The rooms are beautiful with excellent views. Rooms come with a foot bath and a free phone for use while you're in the city to avoid roaming charges. Also all of the normal amenities you would expect. The view from the workout and pool area is breathtaking. Infinity pool at the top is great.

Love this place. Great service, rooftop pool is legit, walking distance to lots of good food spots, transit bus is just right outside the hotel.
