Hotel Indigo Verona - Grand Hotel Des Arts (Verona, Veneto) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Situated on Corso Porta Nuova, which leads directly to three of Verona’s major attractions, the Porta Nuova, Piazza Bra, and the Roman amphitheater, the Arena, Hotel Indigo Verona - Grand Hotel Des Arts is well situated for sightseeing. As the name suggests, art can be found throughout the 1920s Liberty-style building, while rooms feature a mix of classic and contemporary design elements that include ornately curved headboards as the decorative centerpiece. Bar Arya takes its design inspiration from the Opera “Romeo and Juliet” and serves light bites and drinks. There's also an outdoor terrace for summer, and a pleasant private garden and solarium." - Tablet Hotels

Located just outside of the Verona city center, this hotel is a terrific place to stay during your Italian adventure. I spent nearly 2 weeks here and very much enjoyed my time. The pros: - The staff. From checking in with the multilingual team, to the support through the stay, everything was handled professionally, courteously, and with care. James, the Bartender, was a welcome site after a long day out and about. The front desk lady, I forget her name but will always remember her kindness, helped with taxis, resturaunt reservations, and a welcoming attitude. The breakfast crew were always polite, made excellent coffee, and had plenty of good eats available for a wonderful start to the morning. Amazing, +5 Stars. - The Location. Right outside of Verona, within walking distance of the Arena and the train station, with plenty of dining and entertainment options around. The Cons: - Parking. Parking in any city is unpleasant on the best of days, and here is no different. They have an agreement with a nearby garage, but at the hefty sum of 25 euro a night. I usually do not travel with a car to avoid these outrageous charges, but I was forced to have one on this trip. I would suggest against driving if parking is important to you. -Room size. While the room was clean, well appointed, and pleasant, it was on the small size and felt a bit cramped. For a single traveler or couple traveling, I am sure it would be fine. But I was traveling with my daughter, and it got a little to tight for comfort. Overall, a terrific experience at an absolutly lovely hotel. I fully recommend it for anyone who is interested in touring one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. Also, a very short trip to the hidden gem of Venezia, Vicenza. Thank you for a great trip.

We are just finishing a 4 night stay here in Verona. The property is very clean, comfortable and an easy 5 minute walk straight to Piazza Bra. The staff were terrific and went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. They recognized our anniversary and were quick with restaurant recommendations, reservations, directions, change and umbrellas. Special thanks to Emanuele at the front desk and Marian and James behind the bar as well as at breakfast for their professionalism, smiles and customer service skills. These gentlemen did a tremendous job representing the Indigo brand. The breakfast buffet was excellent and plentiful. The only negatives were low water pressure in the shower and the inability to cool the room down. We asked at the front desk but were told that nothing could be done.

We had an amazing experience during our stay at the Hotel Indigo in Verona. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Elizabet went above and beyond to assist us with dinner reservations and gave great suggestions for local places to eat. The manager even stopped by to chat with us in the bar lounge — such a thoughtful and personal touch.||A special shout-out to James at the bar, who was an absolute delight! His warm personality and excellent service made our evenings extra enjoyable.||We were truly impressed by the entire team and the genuine hospitality throughout our stay. We highly recommend the Hotel Indigo Verona and would happily return on our next visit to Italy!

Super friendly people in the front desk, in general was fantastic almost perfect, I recommend the hotel in Verona any time. Just minimum issue in break fast (that’s my points almost perfect). Thanks so much Verona Indigo people, really we feel in home. The travel was with family for holidays.

A great hotel perfectly situated between the train station and Piazza Bra which makes it a short stroll to both. The location right outside the walls of the old town provides an easy access to explore the city while being away enough from the crowd. The property is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff were very awesome & helpful in giving tips on where to dine since there are dozens of restaurants around. Would absolutely love to stay there again on my next visit to Verona.

The location is very good: 12 mins walk from Porta Nuova train station (the few road crossings could be a bit tricky with luggage, but otherwise a easy walk); and about 12 mins straight forward walk to Arena. Staff are friendly and efficient, especially the two members working at breakfast. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent.

The trip had been booked through a travel agent, who we assumed had done due diligence and knew well the hotels they offered to their customers. However, what we saw in their brochure and whatcee experienced were not the same. On the plus side, the hotel was in a good location; a 10 minute walk into the centre, the staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable had good quality linen but the pillows were very unforgiving.|On first glance the hotel looked to be 4*, however it left much to be desired; a 'Grand' Hotel it was not.|The pictures on line show sumptuous rooms with art on the walls, but our 'Premium' room was bare.|There was tea and coffee facilities but there were no chairs and no table to sit at- how room service works I can't comprehend.|The curtains were full of moth holes and the edge of one had no hook so was coming away from the window.|The paintwork was extremely shoddy and the wardrobe was chipped, dusty and needed a good clean and polish. I dread to think what the less expensive rooms were like.|We had a basic bathroom- no marble tiles like the photographs, - better spec in a Premier Inn, although we paid a premium price.|Unfortunately, this was only the first of four hotels we stayed at, all 4* or 5* that really were not as advertised.|Pre-Covid, the hotels we stayed|at were outstanding. How standards have changed in Italy.

Yelp
Decently located hotel. Just about a 10-15 min walk from the Verona train station, and maybe another 10 min walk to the Arena and some of the other more popular areas. Hotel itself was clean and well-kept. Breakfast was decent, with a combination of hot and cold food choices. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, as I kept getting an HTTP error when using certain apps or visiting certain websites on my phone, but I guess it "worked" in the sense that I was able to connect to the internet. Hotel service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
Great hotel in a convenient part of Verona. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station. Delicious breakfast is included in the room rate. Spacious quarters with comfortable beds, good size bathrooms, and a TV with several channels (some in English). Staff was very helpful and provided a map + directions. Verona is a beautiful city that's worth a visit plus stay at the Grand Hotel!

Yelp
The Grand Hotel is a short walk from the train station on the main strip leading into the town centre which makes it an ideal stop. Pleased to get this place for a very good price as it's a 4* hotel, the staff were extremely helpful and polite, and recommended a fantastic little restaurant for dinner. The room was spacious and had a huge en-suite bathroom. Unfortunately the view was over another building but to be honest you don't go to sit in the hotel and look out of the window! Free internet access and continental breakfast with hot breakfast available for extra. The décor and dining area were very nice, welcoming and relaxing and I found the room really comfortable as well.
