we stayed for 9 days at this beautiful hotel. The staff is excellent, very helpful at all times and it is very conveniently located. The breakfast is just great, and so are the restaurants for the meals. The bar on 14th floor is wonderful too, with a beautiful city view. All in all, an excellent hotel, great staff, good rooms, and very conveniently located. we got excellent service throoughout the stay, we highly reomment to anyone visiting Prague.

I think this is one of the best hotels in Prague. This was our second time at this hotel, but definitely not the last. It is certainly our favorite. Special compliments to the chefs who prepared the evening buffet — I was impressed by their ability to turn simple ingredients into amazing dishes. Two points that could be improved are increasing the variety at breakfast and replacing the pillows. Thank you

The hotel is about 30 mins taxi ride from Airport, we were on a 4 night basis, but beware! on way back it was around 8am and the other side to us was very congested near the airport, our driver said this was normal, having arrived to the hotel after 10 at night we were lucky I guess?|The hotel is a very large one, it's an ex Czech Soviet style building built in 1950's, but it's really modern inside, and like the rest of Prague is so clean and tidy inside, reception staff are friendly and knowledgeable, speak perfect English and are very smart in appearance, our room was on third floor, really nice with bed very comfortable, plenty tea coffee and kettle of course, bathroom again really clean and modern, free air con as room got stuffy at night, tv with basic English news channels, but who'd want that anyway? Big Robe space, not many hangers but we coped, we used the bar one night, prices were ok and chap and lady who were on were pleasant and were keen to keep your glass topped up!, there is a chap who plays the piano too, we had a pizza there it was really tasty.|Onto Breakfast, excellent with lots of choice, can imagine lots of English people would not be keen on their streaky bacon, as we weren't , too greasy, but there's so much else, their porridge was great, toaster wasn't the quickest, and hot drinks weren't what us Brits would call hot, needed to keep heating it up, minor things only.|Getting to all the sites and attractions was easy and within 30 mins, tram train bus ticket for 3 days around £12, crazy cheap,|Just be wary of restaurants around the main visitor sites, they can be 15% higher than the back and side streets! |Summing up, brilliant hotel, professionally run and in great location, would stay here in a heartbeat if I visit again.

Very beautiful interior, the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms are clean and housekeeping are available for long hours. The breakfast was very good though more varieties would be cool. For a short staycation it was great. The hotel is very well located and easy to reach with public transportation.

Nice stay! Family room / Suit (King size + 2 beds separate, 2 Rooms) is nice. Windows are not safe to open. |Beautiful view at the roof top bar! Drinks were delicious! Nice piano play in the bar next to the lobby. |Breakfast was good. They have a kids corner - perfect for families with small children. |Save Parking lot. 👍

I don't recommend this hotel. There is nowhere to lean on, furniture is very old, TV is ancient, faucet is too small, pillows are too soft - feels like there is air inside, there are almost no lights. Also, I felt nauseous after the breakfast, even though it was good. At least it seems they are trying to make us feel good. The bath and the personal is good though, and the place is decent. Also, a big respect to the security guy who was really friendly and helpful with parking.

My experience at the Grand International Hotel was excellent. The team working there is very polite and goes out of their way to help guests. The hotel itself has a luxurious look with impressive decor and modern amenities. It really feels like a classy place to stay. I truly enjoyed every part of my visit and can highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Prague.

Good, clean hotel with a tramstop to the city centre almost in front of the entrance. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed the live piano music in the bar a lot! Parking sometimes was a bit of a struggle since the parking lot isn’t that big, but the staff tried to help us in every way possible each time! We had a lovely stay!

Yelp
Pros: Away from the city center Wonderful breakfast buffet, but make sure to select the included option whilst checking in. Rooms were spacious enough for a family of four Affordable mini-bar options Cons: very limited parking Restaurant closed prior to published time

Yelp
I'm all for historic buildings .. but if I had known in advance this was a Stalinist-era building with the same amenities as an old Poliburo office ... I would have probably steered clear of this place. Where to begin? This place is now known as the Hotel International now that new management has taken over the premises. This building dates back to the mid-20th century and was a gift from Stalin to the people of Czechoslovakia during the cold war era. In many ways this place has literally not changed since those days. Yes the rooms had been modestly refurbished, but generally it has retained the old, dreary feel of a cold war/communist era building. When you're walking through the hallways it wouldn't be surprising to see some KGB agent or Soviet general walk out of one of these rooms. The doors remind me of an old office building. The rooms themselves are spacious but poorly laid out. The beds here seriously suck. Our room also had an extra third bed for no real apparent reason and they would not move it (even though it ate up a ton of space in our room) because "it's a triple room" (WTF). Anyway, back to the room itself. I mentioned the beds are shit. They are because the sheets felt gross, the comforters were thin and the bed felt like one of those crappy spring beds you find in a cheap motel in the US. Unless you're dead tired from a day of touring around Prague, don't expect to sleep well here. The showers and everything else were not particularly memorable and the room felt dirty overall. The carpets were old and gross. The climate control was also non existent. The room felt stuffy and hot and I had to open the windows full blast (even though it was like 40-50F outside) just to get some air circulating inside. The restaurant here also sucked ass. The quality of the breakfast was pretty shitty though at least the coffee machine was decent. Also the lobby was pretty nice and had a somewhat grand (if not old/Soviet) feel to it. Long story short, unless you want to relive history or have a keen interest in staying in an old cold war hotel, you're way better off staying somewhere else.

Yelp
Shhhhhh, they might hear us! Do you have the plans? Okay, we will meet at the cafe at the Charles Bridge to make the exchange. This is what I envisioned in my mind when our tour guide gave us the history of this hotel. Apparently, this building housed the USSR's infamous KGB! We had a retired police officer in our tour group, so he did some snooping around in his room and found wires hidden in a hole in his closet! Wow, that's crazy! This hotel is old, it even smells old! Yes, It's described as "art deco" on Crowne's website, mmmm... still old and musty! I mean it's not that bad, it is a decent hotel to stay in for a few nights. Rooms are typical European size, but it is a ways from the city center.

Yelp
Stay away!! Zero stars. Dated old hotel. Front desk didn't speak English. Room shower didn't work. Ac unit stopped working in the middle of the night. Very dirty rug in room. Bedding stained. Musty smell. Disgusting. Asked to switch rooms but were told no rooms available.

Yelp
Hotel looks beautiful from the outside and inside is similar to a Hampton Inn or Hilton hotel chains. Many of the workers speak 4 to 6 languages. They have an atm in the lobby and can also exchange US dollars to Czech krowns. The gift shop has stamps and they send out mail of your mail is stamped. The restrooms are clean. The bathtub acts as a dual shower except it only has one door. My double double has a TV and refrigerator. This place is far from downtown, new town, and old town. Use their public transportation of cab.

Yelp
An update after our stay here. Don't use their hotel cab, it charged us more than double the price than usually.

Yelp
The Crowne Plaza Prague is a large hotel 4 Star hotel which is fairly well located to the city centre. It is a very interesting building which dates back to communist days. The staff were friendly and we received a warm welcome at check in. We had booked a Club Room and as Platinum IHG Rewards Club member we were upgraded to a 10th Floor Tower Suite room with access to the Club Lounge-the Sky Lounge on the 14th Floor, The Club Lounge offered a reasonable continental breakfast with some hot food items and a range alcoholic drinks were available during the evening however the food selection was very limited. There is a 1980's feel to the hotel with the communal areas really needing an upgrade. There is no pool and the restaurants were expensive. The suite had everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel including 2 x TV's, Mini Bar, Air Conditioning and internet but the CRT TV's could do with replacing with flat screens. Overall the Crowne Plaza Prague provides a good option for business and leisure travellers alike, particularly if you are looking for an IHG property with good Elite customer recognition. We enjoyed the stay and would stay here on next visit to Prague depending on other options available.

Yelp
I know that theft is an issue in Prague but didn't expect potential problems at The Intercontinental. Had the cleaning staff walk in my room while I was asleep when the do not disturb was hung on the door. Heard her rummaging around in my bathroom. I called out and she came out with an armload of towels. However I had already taken my dirty towels to the bin earlier that day. Additionally the desk staff was pretty rude and tried to charge me for the lounge despite my status with the hotel. No offer for an upgrade despite the fact that the hotel was not booked at all. Sorry but there are nicer hotels to consider for the price.

Yelp
This hotel is OK but definitely not what I am use to from other Crown Plaza's. The executive rooms themselves are very nice but the executive lounge is very disappointing. Very limited snacks, only wine and beer is served and the beer has been warm for the last two nights. A way from downtown but that also means it is quiet and the local restaurants are very reasonable.

Yelp
Staff and meeting space is great. The hotel rooms are Awful. Very old, outdated and musty. I had to switch rooms. There were little dead bugs near the windows. They quickly moved me to a room over the aerobics studio. A little loud but no bugs. It's a 15 min cab ride to the center of town. Make sure to take AAA taxi. Otherwise, your taxi will be double the cost.

Yelp
Remember that line from the Amy Winehouse "Rehab:" song: No, no, no!!. That is what is going through my head as I write this review. Stay elsewhere. Lots of reasonable hotels in Prague. Room was very run down. Phone did not work and we told them about this every day for 5 days. Felt very unsafe not having that in an emergency. We got there on Sunday and it was fixed on Thursday after we went to desk daily. So anytime we had a question about hotel or booking something thru hotel, we had to go down 3 floors to desk on other side of hotel. Found a bug in it on two of the 7 days that we were there. we were with a prepaid group so we couldn't leave. Bathrooms not cleaned on two dates, including one day when housekeeping came into our room to fold comforters on beds. (No sheets on beds, just comforter that they fold. Voila! Bed made, which is great news for employment rates in Czech but bad news for international travelers. Our room for our family of three consisted of 3 single beds which was weird but they were comfortable. Our a/c worked but many in our group said their a/c didn't work. There are newer rooms in the hotel so make sure you ask for one of those. Windows open in hotel which helps to get musty smell out. Maybe that's not a good thing if you are there long term. Housekeeper very unfriendly and when we went to hunt towels down on the days when we had no clean towels put in room, she looked at us like I was asking for an organ donation. She didn't speak any English so "international" aspect of hotel ends at front desk. Front desk, bartender and waitress (short blonde, I think her name was Vika?) in restaurant were super nice. Waitress was very fast, friendly, and helpful. Desk staff was super nice too and very patient. They all spoke English. Someone found my son's phone in restaurant and bartender kept it safe for a day until we started inquiring about it. Very honest. Location of hotel isn't great. it is a block from tram but much easier to just stay walking distance to Old Town. Hilton and Marriott looked nice when we walked by it. This is ok for one night but we were there a week and it felt like a penance.
