Hotel Irixo

Although cheap, the room is cold, very noisy and it feel stuff. My window is facing a back patio that seems to amplify any small thick. Staff is not specially friendly, but also not unfriendly. The main advantage is the location. Beside the catedral, it could not be more central.

Rooms are spacious and very clean,decor is a little tired, but we staryed at the end of the season. Beds made and clean towels each day and complimentary toiletries. Be warned if you are a light sleeper, this is,probably not the hotel for you as it faces into a busy square. But we loved it. Great vale for money and great lication.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while in town for a wedding. We got a room on the top floor overlooking a small plaza with restaurants. The room had a great big balcony we could sit out on although we rarely used it as we were out exploring and enjoying the old town so much. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was week kitted out also. The staff were very friendly and pointed us in the right direction when we were looking for places.There was no air-conditioning but we could leave the balcony doors open at night to cool down.||There happened to be a festival on in the city while we were there and we really enjoyed it. People we dressed in medievil clothes and walking the streets playing musical instruments and there were stalls everywhere selling local and foreign wares. The hotel is less than 150 meters from the main square in the old town

One night stop in Ourense during a cycling trip through North of Portugal and Galicia. Perfect place. Reasonable price, clean, quiet (I had a room in the back while my bike slept in the basement) ||Difficult to find a more central location. Next to the cathedral and close to the hot springs of As Burgas ( you can the water, it's hot but safe...) ||As other guests have indicated my room was small and dark but you don't go to Ourense to stay in your room. Go play outside. And don't miss the hot baths at the other side of the river. As well as this fantastic cathedral.

Great little old town hotel in the center of Ourense. Clean clean clean! Recently refurbished and right by a great little restaurant in the plaza below. Really good value for money and offers more than a standard room in a big hotel chain. |No aircon but you don't need it here in Ourense if your used to living in Mallorca ! Will return for sure

I use a small mobility scooter. Tight to get around room & hotel but I managed it. Staff very helpful & friendly. The hotel is central so a bit of street noise to be expected. Overall, considering low price, hotel totally acceptable

This hotel is in a good position very close to the beautiful Catedral, which is well worth a visit.Lots of restaurants and coffee shops closeby. Small basic room but comfortable enough. Very clean. Staff very friendly.

Nice, basic hotel in a perfect location in the old town of Ourense. Convenient for driving, and nice (but again, basic) rooms. No air-conditioning, which for us meant leaving the windows open, which let in a lot of noise. Perhaps it is not usually so warm in Ourense (37 degrees July 8th).
