The Hotel Isafjordur consists of 4 properties, we stayed in the one also known as the Hotel Torg, right on the waterfront. We had 2 nights in a deluxe room on the top floor with a view over the town. The room was lovely and spacious, with a large seating area and lots of windows. There was more than ample storage space and a long desk area, perfect for charging devices. The bathroom was also a good size and very clean. The restaurant downstairs (which we did not try) was always busy but our room was quiet. Parking is easy right beside the hotel, and the reception staff were helpful and cheerful. I would rate this hotel 4.5 if I could, everything was good except the breakfast which I felt catered to a certain demographic. There were not enough interesting and healthy options. Overall though a very good stay.

Of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip around Iceland this was the most disappointing. Location is great and the staff really helpful, and the foyer is beautifully designed, but once you get in your room it is a different story (well, certainly if you stay in Room 201 and, probably, that entire floor). You are quickly transported back to the 1970s to what feels like an out-dated college student room, together with carpet stains, and a small TV that requires you to be able to swivel your head almost 360 degrees if you want to watch it. The bathroom was dark (the main light didn't work) and was a bit smelly. C'mon guys, it really doesn't cost that much to give the room a bit of makeover and bring it into the 21st century, particularly given that it isn't cheap to stay here. All in all, very disappointing and the low-point hotel-wise of our trip.

I gave 1 star because the customer service was bad. We had initially booked our stay for two nights but after the first night we decided we wanted to check out. We checked when we needed to be out before the checkout. They asked why we were checking out and we stated we were unhappy with our stay. They did ask if we wanted to see any other options but we declined. We booked through hotels.com and reached out about the hotel refunding the second night we did not and they have refused and argued they we did not let them know.

I know this isn’t meant to be the most glamorous hotel. But it was just disappointing. It’s kept very clean by housekeeping which I appreciate. But the bathroom is tiny, dark and uncomfortable, not like the pictures. The shower has a smelly shower curtain, and water spills out anyway. No hairdryer. No phone to call reception. This hotel feels bleak. Oh well, I get that that this isn’t an area made for tourism in Iceland. The restaurant downstairs seems nice. Breakfast was fine but boring. The town itself is much more interesting!

The location and customer service are absolutely perfect. Near cruise port and airport. The food is delicious at LOGN. The rooms are dated but very clean. Bed linens were immaculate. The TV is outdated and you couldn't stream from your phone. Shoutout to Carlos and the best staff for their kindness to my family. Get a burger, chili hotdog and the blueberry Icelandic pancakes. Loved Isafjordur!

I was so lucky to find Elizabeth and Nana in the hotel! I was having a difficult situation during my trip and, thanks to their very kind assistance, my experience became an amazing one. Thank you very much! You were angels during my trip. Hotel Isafjordur was an amazing place to rest, very well located, and the rooms were impecable. 100% recommended.

Very outdated room and in bad shape. Really need renewed and taken. Noise from elevator in the room every time it goes up or down.|Lobby is fancy, and the restaurant looks nice too.||But the rooms is like it has been here for 30 plus years without doing anything to them.||Picture says more the thousand words.
