Hotel Ishan - A Riverside Retreat by Salvus, Rishikesh

I surprised my wife for her birthday and we stayed at Hotel Ishan it was the best decision! The Ganga view room was beautiful and really made the occasion special. The food here is tasty and we both loved the peaceful vibe. The spa session was so relaxing a perfect gift for her! The staff were all so kind, especially Anushka Ma’am and Suhasini Ma’am at the front desk who helped us with everything, from check-in to planning a small cake surprise. Also, it’s a pet friendly place which we loved Holi, the hotel’s calm dog, added such a homely touch. Highly recommend Hotel Ishan for anyone planning a special stay in Rishikesh!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Apart from the food quality, there was nothing good about my stay. I had booked a balcony room, but it was unusable due to 4-5 lizards constantly present in the area, making it uncomfortable to sit outside. Rooms are very small. Basic services like providing cutlery with food were also a hassle — I had to make 2-3 follow-up calls each time just to get it. Parking is another major issue. Guests are expected to park their vehicles 300-400 meters away from the hotel, and there are no valet services available. The rooms were not up to the mark and did not match the images shown during booking. Towels provided were not properly cleaned, which was very disappointing. Additionally, while the staff initially agreed to reimburse the parking charges, they created excuses at the time of checkout and refused to pay. After some back-and-forth, they eventually agreed, but the experience was unpleasant. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

On expensive side. The complimentary Ganga Aarti is a highlight, adding to the spiritual experience. The spa services are a wonderful way to unwind. Conveniently located just 100m from Lakshman Jhula, this hotel is a perfect blend of spirituality and relaxation. Highly recommend!

I booked this hotel on my friend’s suggestion for a quick solo break. Loved how simple and peaceful it felt overall. The room was clean with a nice river view that made mornings better. The front desk team, including Anushka, were polite and easy to talk to if I needed something small sorted. It’s also pet-friendly . Holi, their calm dog, was always sitting near the lobby, which felt homely. Good choice if you want a quiet spot near Laxman Jhula without any fuss.

This was my second stay at Hotel Ishan and I'm happy to say they still keep the same peaceful vibe every time. The rooms are neat and smell fresh which I really appreciate. This time I got to meet Anushka Ma'am at the front desk she was really kind and helped me out with local tips and arranging a cab for a quick day trip. It's so nice when staff remember small things you need and make it feel personal. I love how close the hotel is to Laxman Jhula perfect for a quiet sit by the river whenever you want. The food here is simple but always fresh. Still my favourite pick for a calm stay in Rishikesh.

A friend suggested hotel ishan for a quite family trip and we were so glad will listened. We booked two rooms for my parents and grandparents both were neat and had a peaceful river view that everyone loved. What I like the most was how the front desk staff handled over early morning temple visit without any fuss. Food was delicious and tasted fresh and homely . The kids loved playing with Holi the calm hotel dog. Housekeeping made sure our room stayed spotless, the whole time which my mom really appreciated. It's the little things that made us so well looked after, definitely coming back next year .

Found Hotel Ishan when we were looking for a quick escape from Delhi's chaos. The place is calm and has a clear view of the Ganga which made our mornings extra nice. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and the staff always polite. We walked to Laxman Jhula every evening and sat by the river so peaceful. One afternoon we tried Arches Cafe nearby on the front desk team's suggestion turned out to be a good little spot.Simple, light food at the hotel was a plus. Special thanks to Anushka ma'am and whole members were so sweet nd helpful throughout the stay. Would love to come back for another weekend break.
