Hotel Italia Palace

Me and my wife have spent 7 nights in this place and I am amazed of the high standards that this place offers. Beautiful place, nice, clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, amazing breakfast and very friendly staff! Pool and bar are located on the roof, so you can swim or have an aperitive with a nice view of the sea. We were informed that sundbeds and an umbrella at the beach are included with our booking. An absolute recommendation even it's not as cheap but I guess you get what you pay for. We will definitely come back!

The points below speak for themself, I suppose one may read this and see what is applicable to their standards or what is expected from a Hotel as such: 1. No guests were allowed in our junior suite or any room at the hotel even if they are registered in the reception (in our case grandmother of my newborn was refused and no response until this day on how to properly check in a guest). 2. Cleaning of room is below standards of a 4s star. 3. Three days to have toilet repair after multiple requests. 4. No response about which channel is the children's channel on TV in our suite. 5. Breakfast service is ghastly. 6. Management refused to speak with us although multiple requests, we never spoke to management. 7. Junior suite parking is ONLY outdoor. 8. Location is good, not worth the money for what you get in return. (We stayed for 19 days!)

When we wanted to check out 1 day earlier than planned and booked (due to an emergency case) within a stay of 6 nights in the dependance (luxury suites) we were informed by the lady at the reception, that we have to pay a penalty for earlier departure! I could not believe as the room was already fully paid for the whole period and asked about the reason. The answer was, that they are not able to sell the apartment again due to the short notice (15:00). But they would ask the management if the penalty in this case could be released. I could hardly believe and I explained again that we have already paid for the room for the whole period and asked why they want to sell the room a second time when it was already sold to us? Again I was told that they are not able to sell it again and that it is the hotel's policy - unbelievable! At the end we had not to pay the penalty for earlier check-out (for an apartment that was already sold to us and fully paid !!) but the hotel has lost loyal guests, that came frequentenly over the past 10 years, as we will definitely not come back to this place.

This is aside opinion based on experience with staff of the hotel. Me and my girlfriend experienced emergency situation on the ship over the sea. Ship hopefully has got back to Lignano Sabbiadoro and we had to find solution to get back to Grado. My plan was to stay at the hotel in case no solution on the same day. As pedestrian I presented our situation to the staff and asked only for WC usage. Women at the reception desk refused my request twice answering „not possible, only for guests”. I believe that the AI would even compass us and let use WC. Be careful when choosing services of the hotel.

We have spent 3 nights here and honestly didn‘t find anything to complain about. Nice, clean, light and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, amazing breakfast, very friendly staff and great organisation! Pool and bar are on the roof, so you can swim or have an aperitivo with a view. And - two sundbeds and an umbrella at the Beach are included. An absolute recommandation. We will absolutely come back!

My wife and I (with and without kids) have stayed at the hotel several times and we are always pleased with our stays. ||||The rooftop bar and breakfast area is the gem of the hotel. The breakfast is recommended. The friendly and very service-minded staff makes our stay an enjoyable experience. We recommend to use the complimentary bikes of the hotel to explore the Lignano area. The hotel’s complementary beach beds are also great to use. ||||The smaller rooftop pool is great for afternoon relaxation.||||The room was clean and comfy; very nice shower and bathroom. ||||Wifi ok . ||||A lot of value for your money.

We travel a lot around the world, but what happened at this hotel in the end of the summer is really disaster ! We wanted to make a short stop and visit our friends at this hotel, when we found out that despite of paying for their stay in advance, the hotel staff threw them out on the street just because they needed to sell the room where they have been accommodated for two days to the “VIP” guest from Germany who forcibly entered with the help of the hotel staff to my friend's and his family's room and tried to throw them out of the room with rude insults … The hotel staff did nothing at all to protect them and so they finally decided not to stay in this hotel any longer and they ended their vacation earlier and went back home in disgust. Sometimes even 5 stars is not enough to guarantee a beautiful holiday and a decent conduct of the staff .. After this I know I NEVER stay here as I wouldn't like to be in danger of a similar story!
