WhatsApp response are better than email, it's strange to not have a booking system but we had our room when we got here. You can have a meal when you get here (reserved to the room) and kitchen closes at 8pm. Lovely place, nice drive up the mountain (lots in 2nd). The restaurants is nice, rooms are basic (Italian plugs).

Such a pearl in the Italian alps, only a few meters from the Swiss border. The old building and its interior is a work of art, full of original design and history. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious, the local Aosta wines and their knowledge about it was superb. Rooms clean and beds comfortable, standard as expected. Breakfast also top. Busy café on ground floor with lots of visitors, but still very friendly staff. Shorter and longer hikes available from the doorsteps.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The location, right beside the lake, is stunning. The hotel itself was really great. Lots of real wooden panels and decor. No TV blaring and a peaceful atmosphere, the way the best hotels used to be. The staff were so nice and the food was great. I would definitely stay again

When you drive from Switzerland just drive into Italy for great coffee and the best icecream. At prices that are ridiculously low. When you drive from Italy, stay a bit longer at this side of the border and enjoy the same.|Friendly staff. Running for the icecreams. And nice walks around as well.

We stopped by for coffee/dessert when we got caught in a rainstorm at the top of the Col du Saint Bernard while trying to do some hiking. The parlor/bar area was full, and it was clear why.||||Desserts here are deliciously homemade; we had the apricot tart and chocolate pear tart infused with amaretto. Both were sensational. When you drink your cappuccino, you know immediately you are in Italy and not on the other side of the lake! Our little one had a hot chocolate to drink, which was actually more like a cup of chocolate fondue and could be consumed with a spoon. Atmosphere was cozy, though we sat in the overflow room due to large volumes. Still quaint enough.||||People were moderately friendly, and service was quick. When the weather is nice, the large terrace outside is gorgeous. Be sure to stop here, even if just passing through!

Initial welcome was a bit underwhelming but improved once the booking was checked properly. (One of the very few times we were actually shown to our room ~ generally the key is passed over and told what floor). A large room with plenty of room to manage two suitcases. Very firm bed with average pillows. Clean room with all timber floor. Good size bathroom but a small corner shower. Huge bath towels. No kettle, TV, aircon or mini bar fridge. Access to wifi very poor. Excellent position to access walking trails. Two large opening windows. We had a half board stay. Evening meal from set menu satisfactory. Attentive waiting staff. Cold buffet style breakfast with a fairly good choice. No lift to get luggage from ground floor.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Italia on the first night of an eight day walk along the Via Francigena. We were shown great hospitality by the staff and our room while simply furnished was warm and welcoming with fabulous views across the lake to the hospice and surrounding mountains. The food and wine was delicious and we bought some lovely gifts at the accompanying shop. We would love to the have the opportunity to visit again - we would highly recommend.

Stayed a few nights during a walking trip. Great place to stay and refuel at very reasonable prices (especially compared to the places on the Swiss side of the pass a few hundred metres away). Personal highlight was sitting outside and having a pizza (great taste) with a couple of beers - view over to the Hospice across the lake is awesome.
