We had five wonderful days at Hotel Italia! The location is perfect, an easy walk from the train station and to the historic entrance of the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The accommodating staff made our stay pleasant. We were able to secure a parking space at the site when we rented a car for a few days. It was a great home base for touring other parts of Tuscany. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. (Great way to start the day!) A large terrace was a nice addition to the comfort of our room. Very reasonably priced for all that you get!

Fantastic hotel. This hotel was close to the train station/grocery store and walkable to old Sienna. The rooms and covered terrace were top notch. The room was roomy and had a large closet. The bathroom was huge with a window to open and large walk in shower. The included breakfast was plentiful and great. They provided gluten free items.

We had a very good stay at this hotel in Siena. It is a very nice hotel, only a bit far from the centre, but still walkable. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was plenty. Although we only stayed for one night we would still recommend it.

A most convenient, friendly hotel just outside the City walls, close to the train station and numerous local restaurants.|Our (superior) room was quite spacious, comfortable and quiet. The shower room is smart and modern. Everything clean and well ordered.|The buffet breakfast was good, though the room can get busy at times and there is often a queue for the single coffee machine.

Great Location, with a short walk to City Center. And the bus/train escalators. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We found it to be a great launching point for all things Siena. ||The breakfasts were fantastic. My wife doesn’t drink dairy, and the still made her great cappuccinos!||Would stay here again!!

My wife and I took a train from Rome to Siena and planned to stay one night in Siena. I originally booked the Hotel Italia because of the reviews and its proximity to the train station. We couldn't figure out which way to walk, so we decided to take ta short taxi ride to the Hotel. We couldn't have picked a better Hotel. We were greeted with a smile by the woman at the front desk. She pointed us in the right direction and we walked the short distance into the town. Our room was very clean and spacious enough with a beautiful view of the Tuscany hillsides! We settled for a couple of slices of pizza from a shop just up the road and took it back to the lounge area with a couple glasses of wine. Breakfast was very good, offering many different options. Continue the great work!

I really cannot work out how this hotel can get less than five stars. For its category and price in a major tourist destination this hotel is simply outstanding. The staff are beyond super; courteous, good natured, helpful, willing. The inside is impeccably clean and polished. (The outside looks like nothing particular…) The rooms are marvellous; bright, spacious, tastefully decorated, nice smelling, well heated. We had a bath, which always makes me happy. There is a lift. The breakfast is exceptional for this category of hotel. Again it gets the basics right and then offers more. For example, the fruit was actually enjoyable (neither tasteless nor overripe) and the cakes genuinely nice (la torta alla nonna and the chocolate plum cake in particular). There is a pancake machine that does a good job, etc. etc. So good that every traveling Italian in a family group seems to stay. When the teenagers descend anything chocolate vanishes in two seconds. I suspect the hotel is impossible to book in season. The final plus is that there is a living room with bar where you can rest, work, or hang out as necessary. Perhaps a few caveats. I did not find the internet connection so good (but no worse than say the Premier Inn, whose internet always sends me bananas). The rooms do have some noise of running water (but this is normal for anyone who has stayed even in Hilton or other similar hotels). And there is the faint sound of the street for sensitive sleepers. Nevertheless, to conclude, I have yet to find a better hotel for this price or category anywhere in our travels and it would easily be in my top five favourite.
