Super nice staff, very accommodating to english-speaking tourists. Very good A/C in the rooms. Great location with tons of places to eat, supermarket around the corner. Laundry, coffee shops, bakery all on the same block. Bathtub is a bit odd and treacherous but works great. Good transit access. Can be somewhat noisy at night on the weekends but the windows do a good job of blocking sound.

Was given a confirmation on Amazon of a lovely modern room and when I arrived the reception looked great. The room however that we were given had the most uncomfortable mattress (hard and the feeling of springs) and the room was in disrepair!! It was disgusting, damp wood, peeling paint, mold. My daughter was quite upset in the morning, wheezing and a desperately sore back. We promptly left when reception told us “the owner sleeps late but email us and we will see what he might do”. We sent photos but over a week later they have not replied!

Rooms worn dated shower moldy. Paper cups in bathroom???? Can’t sit at toilet without hitting knees on wall. Constant sewer smell in room coming from bathroom.|Furniture upholstery has holes in it. Stains everywhere in room, windows don’t close completely.|Breakfast was a joke. We were way better off going out for it.|We actually checked out early.|Michelin star rated 2018 On outside window.|Give me a break. Nothing has been done to this place since 2018 that’s for sure.

Awful “superior “ room. Absolutely nothing like the photos or description on their website. If this is a superior room and allegedly more spacious than their deluxe rooms I dread to thing how small the deluxe rooms must be Breakfast is something to start the day but not much more than that Fitness centre is decent for a hotel of it’s size.

They didn’t let me go eat because I didn’t have indoor footwear which was absolutely disgusting. The food looked poorly cooked and was practically raw. The room had stains everywhere and the piping system stunk. The workers could have been slightly nicer as their delivery about things was rather harsh. They offered very little outdoor activities and it would have been a more fun experience if the Chateau offered activities like manhunt and orienteering to schools. Overall, I’d say my experience was poor at best. The staff and rooms require improvement.

Great hotel in a quiet street! A little out of the centre but we love to walk and explore and prefer to be in a quieter location for peace at night! There were a few restaurants near by which were great. ||The hotel was gorgeous, the gym was okay but only used it once - I didn’t feel like it after walking 40k steps a day! ||The room was great, the air con was brilliant and so needed during the August heat! The reception staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome.

We stayed here for 11 nights the end of October 2023 for the rugby World Cup. Lovely little hotel and very clean. The rooms are a little on the small side. But, very adequate. Great breakfast in the morning included in the room price. Staff was very helpful. Two block walk to the metro. Lots of little restaurants nearby for evening dining.

We booked this hotel in September last year as we’d bought some Olympics tickets and didn’t want to chance waiting until nearer the time. There was little available at the time so we booked 2 nights here for the extortionate amount of £1741!!!! This was without cancellation as the cancellation price was even more…. |Any how upon checking in the lovely lady on the desk said you’re not the only guests to mention the price increase and there was nothing they could do as I’d booked with no cancellation. I told her I’d looked that morning and could book for less than a third of what we had paid.. She was very lovely and I could tell by her expression that she felt bad for us. She did throw breakfast in (nice gesture but it was a poor breakfast so we only bothered one day) The lady also brought up to our room a half bottle of Tattinger and sone macarons- another very sweet gesture. |The hotel is in an ok location - a few nice little cafes nearby and an 8 minute walk to the closest Metro, République. |The room was fine, we had a small balcony (too hot to use) the air con was great as was the shower. The lift was a teeny rickety one but up 6 floors what can you do. Hind sight is a great thing and I wish I hadn’t panicked about securing accommodation and waited until nearer the time when greedy hoteliers realised they would not be full.

Yelp
Great location in the heart of the Marais. Yes, the room is small but doable for two people. It's very clean. It has updated decor I was hot at night but the staff brought me a fan (room doesn't go below 20'c). Everyone has been pleasant and helpful. I'd stay here again!

Yelp
My recommendation: book online ahead of time! Free wifi, and close to several metro stops. Metro lines 3, 5, 8, 9 or 11 gets you to the hotel near the République stop, or RER A, B or D to the Châtelet les Halles stop. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, and the rooms are fairly modern. The staff can hold your luggage for you for a few hours on the day of your checkout...this is majorly convenient when you just want to roam around Paris for just a few more hours before your flight out!

Yelp
I was there three nights in the summer. The room was VERY small, and the air conditioning ineffective and limited in terms of how cool one could set it. The bathroom had lights of rotating colors! The closet door could be opened only halfway because the bed blocked it. The breakfast was mediocre at best. (I stayed in five European hotels during a recent tour, and he breakfast here was the weakest and the room one of the two weakest.) Although my room was quiet, some rooms were not. Because the building was VERY old, formerly a house, the remodeling allowed is limited. I would not stay there again. In writing this review, I see that two other reviewers have given it four or five stars. I am amazed.

Yelp
My wife and I spent a week at Hotel Molay in Jan2012. We had the best stay, breakfast and full gym. Staff was awesome, rooms were clean, beds comfy and hotel was quiet!! The Marais was a brilliant local and no tourists but ourselves. Highly recommend this hotel for a great inexpensive lodging in a beautiful city!! Walking distance to everything.
