My daughter and i booked into Hotel Jadran for a week's stay in September. We read all of the negative reviews but felt that, for the price, they were potentially a little harsh so decided to risk it. ||||in all honesty, for what we paid for the stay it was perfectly fine and would stay there again should we visit Lake Bled a second time. We had a double lake view room (classed as double but actually 2 single beds pushed together so ideal for us) which was a decent size with a perfectly functional bathroom with shower over bath. The balcony was pleasant enough with a table and 2 chairs. It was clean and basic...what more do you need when you're just sleeping there! We had a fridge but no coffee/tea making facilities which would have been good. ||||As it was a lake view room there was road noise so you do need to be aware of this. It was ok during the night but the traffic starts fairly early so you don't get much of a lie in unless you take ear plugs. There was no noise from inside the hotel/other rooms. ||||Breakfast was ok. Yes we've had better but in hotels where we've paid much more. There was bread, pastries, fruit, cereal, cheese and meats and hot plate with eggs and sausage. Sufficient. The coffee wasn't the best but it was hot and strong! There was also a decent range of teas and juices. ||||The free to guests car park out front is handy though they do fill it up during the day by allowing non guests to park for a fee. That said, the attendant did always find us somewhere to park. ||||It's a bit dated admittedly but you get what you pay for and at the end of the day it's somewhere to sleep and it was clean. What else do you need! Take the 'terrible' reviews with a big pinch of salt if you're more about the outdoor adventures than lounging in a shiney hotel (and in case anyone is wondering...yes, we've done 'shiney' too. There's a time and a place).
