Hotel Jadran

The highlight of this hotel is definitely the location. It really is straight onto the sea. It is not the prettiest of hotels but to be able to get the lift down to the (admittedly concrete) area and go straight down into the sea is delightful. We also enjoyed the view from the balcony, which faces south. The hotel is near the port and there was some noise from it, but it was definitely worth it for the view. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are fairly small and basic, but the beds are comfortable and it was clean, and with such a view from the balcony, it was definitely worth it. The breakfast was excellent.

This rating is only because of food. Our dinner menu was horrible. Explanation was that that was due to not enough people in the hotel for a buffet. Since this is a hotel with 4 stars, prices of rooms are crazy, I expected more dinner choices. I have booked a room with sea view, would recommend. Both receptionists were very nice. Sauna is great, gym has a few weights and some cardio equipment.

Good hotel with a nice private beach great for swim and the view from the room is really nice. |Had the room on the fifth floor with a nice small balcony and the view is . The beds are small and the shower could be better. Breakfast is reasonable, with exception of coffee which is horrible. The small beach is quite nice and great for swimming. Hotel has a small parking in front which if you find a place as we did is very convenient. The hotel is very central and close to the tower shopping center and center of town.

I have stayed in this hotel many times and I really enjoy it! The only disadvantage in my opinion is that there is no Gym facilities. Management should take it into consideration. Lovely location, amazing breakfast for every taste.

We had a fantastic time at Hotel Jadran. The view from the rooms are outstanding. Get a room facing the sea and with a balcony if possible. The restaurant food was delightful and staff extremely helpful. Room service was useful when you have a toddler. There is a beach 500m south of the hotel so location is brilliant too.

A very good hotel. The staff were service orientated and we enjoyed our stay at this location. The rooms were modern and extremely well equiped. Walking distance to some of the major sites in the area.||The view from the balcony was stunning, however do not look to the right where you will see container ships loading and unloading. The noise from the port will require you to sleep with the windows firmly closed. But this view of the container terminal is only when you stand at the edge of the balcony and look to the right. ||To improve the stay at the hotel I would recommend that management pay attention to the food which was quite poor. The view from the restaurant again was stunning but the decor and food is a real turn off. ||Overall an good hotel with a lot of opportunity to improve - focus on the restaurant!

On arrival there was a friendly welcome. Our room was on the second floor with a sea view. It was great, very clean, spacious, good bed and extra pillows, plenty of hanging space, helpful information in a booklet, TV (no English channels), safe, little fridge with mini bar (which leaked a little). The bathroom had a good shower, hooks and was spacious. It was very quiet and peaceful sitting on the balcony. It was just the start of the holiday season so was not very busy.||The free parking was very useful. The hotel is located a couple of kilometres from town for the restaurants and shops. We didn't mind walking in at all and it helped us to work up an appetite.||The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice and something for everyone, with cereals, dried fruits and seeds, salads, cooked options including pancakes and perfectly cooked eggs, cold meat and cheese, and such delicious breads and pastries, plus good coffee and tea. It changed slightly each day. All staff were very good in the restaurant.||One evening we wanted to check if a certain restaurant was open and the receptionist helped us without hesitation.||We had an excellent stay and highly recommend it.

Entire staff is very friendly and helpful. This rating is mainly oriented towards hotel's manager attitude and the terrible quality of dinner or specifically the lack of choices. For a 4star hotel this shouldn't be legal. On a formal complaint we got told "it is what it is". You can find better hotels in vicinity if you wish to receive all options you pay for.
