Hotel Jahtihovi

When I arrived, the room was quite cold because the heaters had been switched off. Luckily, a helpful member of the hotel staff quickly brought a small electric heater, and the room became comfortable soon after.||However, the toilet brush was missing, which was a bit inconvenient.||The breakfast was good and met expectations.||The interior and materials are clearly from the 1980s — clean, but very outdated and in need of modernization.||Overall, the experience was okay — solid 3 stars. Friendly service, but the hotel could definitely benefit from some updates

I stayed there for a business trip and thought it was a good hotel with delicious breakfast that also included lactose free products. The rooms were comfortable and I slept very well. I went there in winter so it was very cold in general. Nevertheless I didn't expect the rooms to be quite cool as well because they are turned down by default. So turn them on in winter after entering for the first time because it takes them longer to warm up. The staff was really friendly, they even gave us lunch packages due to early departure back home. I recommend it.

Worst hotel experience in Finland. Room was very bad, felt like a motel. Bed is very narrow, couldn't even turn properly. Whole floor had a bad smell. Room were not sound proof. You could hear the noise from the nearby rooms. Table lamp wasn't working. Shower cube was so narrow that you can't even stretch your arms inside that. Very bad value for money!! I will not recommend this place to anyone! You can easily find a better hotel for the same price!

This is a reasonably comfortable hotel in an out-of-the-way location. Parking is limited, and access to the hotel is a little difficult after 8:00 p.m. The breakfast is a typically very, very good Finnish buffet.

We selected this hotel because of the price, location, free breakfast and free parking. We found the hotel easily but unfortunately there was no parking available so we had to leave the car on the side of a road about 100m away from the hotel. It wasn´t a disaster for us but of course I would have preferred the hotels own parking spaces. |||| Check-in was polite and we got all the information we needed for our stay. We booked the cheapest room which was not renovated so I can not blame anyone else but myself for it. It was good for one night stay and the bed was clean and ok to sleep in. The bathroom looked clean but I did not want to stay there more than I had to. Also the room was pretty hot but there was a fan on the table waiting for us which was nice. ||Next morning we were greeted happily by the staff and the breakfast was simple but good. ||||I would consider visiting the hotel again because of the friendly service and good location between harbour and city center but I would definitely book a renovated room. I feel like that the 100€/night for the room we had was a bit too much.

We called Jahtihovi late on Christmas Day to make a booking for the same evening. Staff was very friendly and came especially to receive us, as reception was already closed for the day. We got a nice, clean family room. Beds were extremely comfortable. We parked our car into a warm garage. Breakfast was delicious. I can highly recommend Jahtihovi!

I picked up the hotel because of the price. As we stayed there for one night arriving late, checking out early, I did not want to pay for anything extra I could not use. This hotel offers good value for money. ||The staff was friendly and helpful. When we arrived, the receptionist recommended us a very good local restaurant just around the corner. When we checked out, she called the cab. And always with a smile. ||The breakfast was included in the room price. It was a good standard breakfast. The room was fairly small, but it was clean. ||A dependable 3-star hotel.

Nice hotel in the centre of Kuopio. Not bad breakfast. Room ok. Helpful staff, allowed us to use the room overtime until our flight, as the reception was closing at 12.00 on Sunday. Good italian restaurant Sorrento opposite the hotel.
