Hotel Jakarta

The overall atmosphere was very well having lots of green in the hotel it made it feel very welcoming. The breakfast was also amazing with having a buffet style. It definitely stands out with being on an island. The location is wonderful, it is a few minutes ride with the bus from central station to this hotel. The staff are also very nice and even for people that are traveling for the first time to Amsterdam they make it feel very good. Would recommend.😃

Loved the design, greenery and sustainability. The staff were the nicest we’ve ever come across in a hotel, so cheery and helpful. ||The bed was really big and comfy. Liked that you could slide the door over between the bathroom and bedroom. Really fast WiFi and big TV too. ||Breakfast was great, lots of choice and eggs to order if you wanted. We ate in the restaurant at night and it was very good too, the bakery is also superb! Skybar is worth a visit before dinner, the cocktails are imaginative and well made.||Some people have been negative about the location but it’s very straightforward from Centraal and back on a bus or tram and we did it with luggage.||A deposit of €100 is taken at check in but you can spend it on dinner/drinks which we did.||The only negative (and not a big deal) was the toilet is a separate kind of cubicle, which is great, but the light comes on automatically so not ideal during the night and also not very soundproof 🙉

I couldn't be happier with our stay at Hotel Jakarta. The hotel itself is beautiful. It like stepping into another world. The staff were very friendly and helpful even allowing us to check in pretty early. The room was clean and well laid out. We enjoyed the use of the balcony that looked back towards the city. We enjoyed cocktails in the beautiful Sky Bar in the evening. Breakfast in the morning was phenomenal. The value of this hotel when compared to many in the nearby area is very favorable. It is only a short walk to the cruise port. I only wish we had been able to stay a bit longer to enjoy our stay even that much more.

This hotel is brilliant. Quality food, interesting design, comfortable, quiet even though busy, worth the little extra, location was slightly out of town but the transport system serves it well. Many great features: spar n pool, cafe, high quality breakfast..... You won't be disappointed

Everything about this hotel was just WOW! First of all the hotel is situated in a really good location, just a short tram ride from the train station. The building is stunning; big and bright full of greenery and spotlessly clean. On arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist and offered prosecco (which was the best prosecco I've ever tasted)! The rooms were stunning, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The rooftop bar was gorgeous and the spa / pool area was so relaxing and very quiet. I booked this hotel as I wanted to wake up in luxury on my 39th birthday and that I did! I love to travel and this was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Thank you for making my birthday so special 🥰 x

The Hotel Jakarta is a wonderful destination in Amsterdam. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a spacious and architecturally impressive interior, and a unique jungle landscape within the open atria, beginning on the first floor and extending to upper floors. The restaurant is outstanding, and far superior to most 4 or 5 star hotels in which I've stayed, with an interesting menu and high quality meals across the board. The rooms are elegant, modern, and although not huge, include all the amenities you need, including a flat screen tv that emerges from the baseboard of the bed, in some rooms!). The views from the hotel rooms to the adjacent waterways on both sides of the hotel are stunning, and a real bonus. Oh, let me add that the staff are incredibly helpful, friendly, and well-trained (and plentiful). The location of the hotel is also quite good, on a quiet island near downtown, but easily accessible by the #24 tram (or by Uber/taxi). Please check out the bar and lounge on the highest floor, even if it's just to marvel at the great views and the imaginative architectural style - great place to relax and unwind! Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay, and you'll enjoy every moment at the Hotel Jakarta!

First rate hotel. The rooms are fantastic, very spacious and lovely riverside view. Balcony was def a good idea. Cannot fault the hotel in any way. We like walking so we’re not put off by its out of town location. Excellent on site facilities make up for the location. The much vaunted ‘skybar’ was the only disappointment. Apart from that, we would stay here again.

We couldn’t fault this lovely ecological hotel. We were there to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Complimentary bubbles! All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. A good sized room with a very comfortable bed. |We would definitely recommend this hotel. |5 stars minimum!!!
