Stayed at this hotel for a total of 4 nights. Loved the location along Kokusai street with lots of shopping and food choices. Great service rendered by the staff team. Breakfast was not bad too. Initially stayed 2 nights in a double room but it was a little cramp and the bed hard. We upgraded to a twin room for our last 2 nights and it was a more refurbished room and more spacious. Overall cleanliness can be improved. The toiletries tray in both rooms we stayed in were dusty. Take note that water is not provided at the hotel. You can get free water if you opt for no cleaning, for stays 2 nights or more.

The hotel is located near the shopping street of Kokusai so there are many good restaurants and souvenir shop nearby. It’s also only ten minutes away from Ryubo department store if you want to do some shopping. The room was reasonably neat but the bathroom smelt foul. The staff handled it very efficiently though. Air conditioning was limited (not able to be turned on) in winter (20 degree Celsius). I was told “you can open the window” when I asked the staff about it😂.It may be a problem if you are a person like me that prefers cooler air.

This hotel is absolutely ridiculous. In winter, the air conditioning in the rooms only provides heating, while the fan, dehumidifier, and cooling functions are all disabled. As a result, the room gets unbearably hot. When I asked the front desk if they could turn on the air conditioning, they simply told me to open the window. The problem is that the window faces Kokusai Street in Okinawa, which is extremely noisy at night. So, I had to choose between suffocating in the heat with the windows closed or being kept awake by the noise with the windows open. I will never stay at this hotel again!

We had a wonderful stay, but I really want to acknowledge how incredibly amazing the guest services staff was in helping me recover some lost items. They not only shipped back the items I had lost overseas, but also several beautiful gifts and a really lovely handwritten note! I am so grateful to them! We will be back for sure!

We booked this hotel as it was budget friendly with convenient location (right on Kokusai-dori). We were just stopping by Naha for a night so didn't want to splurge on a luxury hotel. Hotel JAL City Naha met our expectations. Parking was towards the back of the hotel and the staff members there were very friendly and efficient. Everything was easy. However I couldn't give it a 5 star as the ambience of the hotel room isn't great. The lights was the cool white lights which made the room feel very cold. The floor was clean and new but it wasn't solid wood - just some wooden floor stickers which were not matte and it looked cheap. Hope there was better sense of aesthetics. Nonetheless happy to receive some small gifts as being a One Harmony member which was a surprise. Thank you!

Strategically located on Kokusai Street. It is also conveniently situated near public transportation, with Makishi Monorail Station approximately a 10-minute walk away, facilitating easy exploration of Naha and its surrounding areas.

Hotel service is great which match the airline JAL. Location is also conveniently located. Breakfast spread is great too with Okinawa local food and international food to choose from.

Great location at the centre of Kokusai street. Rooms are spacious and clean. In room amenities are well stocked. Service is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Located in the smack-dab middle of Naha's Kokuasi Dori, the tourist center of Okinawa, the property meets the quality standard of Japan's premier airline, Japan Airlines. The property was formerly a department store that was re-configured to host a hotel. The staff are awesome, as well as the breakfast buffet, great location, a great property to stay if visiting Okinawa. I was part of a group tour visiting Okinawa for the 7th Uchina (Okinawan) Festival and the property was where we stayed for the duration of the festival - it was a great selection/choice. PROs: * Awesome staff - very efficient, professional, and very accommodating - the cleaning crew and staff at the buffet are quick and very conscientious about ensuring all is good * Breakfast buffet - mix of Western, Japanese, and Uchina/Okinawan cuisine (goya champuro, Okinawan soba, peanut tofu (yes)) and great beverages - coffee via machine that you select strong, weak, latte, cappuccino, expresso plus the usual juice to include chiquasa (an indigenous Okinawa fruit - tastes like a mix of lime, lemon, orange) and a chef that prepares eggs - sunny side up, scrambled (Japanese style, a bit runny, egg benedict, etc) * As real estate agents state, the three words of importance...location, location, location...right next to the "Family Mart" you can purchase items to eat/drink, etc. * Hotel has vending machines (usual drinks - water, coffee, etc, plus on the higher levels, beer!); two floors with SMALL washing machine + dryer combo; dryer takes twice the time of the washer) CONs: * Location (can also be a PRO) - in the middle of Kokusai Dori, limited in cuisine selections (lots of izakaya (bar food)) - although its awesome - walk down Heiwa Dori (more for "locals") * NO GYM to work out - so you will need to run/do your push ups, etc * Rooms have LIMITED storage - NO closet, NO iron/ironing board, NO microwave, NO dressers where you can store your items. So you will be literally living out of your suitcase * Spotty wifi - it seems that the system has a limit and the rate may be throttled...especially at night (when everyone is on site) A great property in the middle of Naha's Kokusai Dori, the property is a great place to stay for a few days. It definitely lives up to JAL's standard of service. NOTE: everyone remains masked indoors - when going to the restaurant, you will need to be masked, do a temperature check, and don gloves when handling utensils
