The wonderful welcoming staff elevated what might otherwise be an unremarkable hotel to a memorable one. ||While on the bus to Ostersund just before 8 pm, they phoned me to say that their dinner buffet finished at 8 and asked if I'd like them to put some food aside for me. I'd totally forgotten that a dinner buffet was included in my room rate. Other hotels might simply have said tough luck if I arrived after they stopped serving, but instead I was given dinner on arrival at 8.30. Not the finest meal I had in Sweden but still a nice touch. The lovely receptionist (whose English was flawless, and whose name I didn't catch) recommended a local beer to enjoy with dinner - the most reasonably priced beer I had in Sweden (though still expensive by UK standards). She showed me the fridge where my packed breakfast would be found in the morning (as I was leaving before they officially started serving breakfast). ||The William Morris wallpaper in the bar/restaurant area was a nice change from Scandi-minimalist design!||Excellent location handy for both the bus and train stations in Ostersund.||Disliked · Bathroom was a little basic - wetroom with a shower curtain. A chipped tile next to the plughole detracted from the feel. I've stayed in hotels with more modern/luxurious bathrooms. I suspect it had not been redecorated/refurbished as recently as the bedroom.||A takeaway breakfast was provided but it was not the most generous: a small carton of orange juice, hardboiled egg. a yoghurt (but no spoon) and a small sandwich of seeded/fruit bread with cheese.

The location is great, an easy walk from the train station and into the city center. The staff are friendly and accommodating of late arrivals. The breakfast included fresh breads, yogurt, fruit, tea, juices, and coffee. The rooms are small - I wouldn't recommend sharing the bed unless you want to get very cozy - but they're fantastic for solo travelers.

Stayed for 4 nights with family and a cat. ||Cozy place with a more familiar environment than your standard chain hotels. Super good location on a quiet side street just a few hundred meters from the pedestrian shopping streets and main square. Plenty of parking spots.||||Staff is amazing! Helpful and talkative, don't hesitate to ask questions about restaurants, good activities for children or anything else you might need help with and they will try their best to help!||||Nice and clean rooms with comfy beds, decent lobby bar and bikes you can borrow free of charge.||||This is by no means a luxury hotel but you feel like a VIP nonetheless and for a fraction of the cost. ||||Thanks Patrik, Maria and Fia for a wonderful stay! Well be back for sure!

Good location near town centre and close to the railway station. Rooms are decent but poorly cleaned. Pretty quiet at night, except for some strange banging noises from the front face of the building when its windy ... Double sized beds are a bit narrower than one would expect and bathrooms are mediocre (never thought a hotel in this price range would have the cheapest kind of toilet paper). Breakfast was good with some surprises (herring, for example), and most of the year they offer dinner on weekdays, which was alright but should not really impact the pricing. There's a basement leisure room and gym where most things are broken down. Overall, the impression is not very good, and I wonder what is supposed to motivate the price tag.

Stayed here for just over a week. Staff speak amazing English so the fact that I do not speak any Swedish was not a problem. Staff are the hotel's greatest asset I think because they are friendly, helpful and happy to answer any queries/help/advise. The hotel location is idea for the University or for shopping in the centre of town - the town is easy to get around because of the layout of the roads - parallel (I have no sense of direction!) There is hotel car parking to the rear. The hotel is nice, breakfast and dinner are buffet style. I was in a single bedroom - which I had booked and it was not overly small but definitely functional in terms of space. In saying that, the price of the hotel is very reasonable considering it is spotlessly clean and again - the staff including cleaning staff are excellent.

Friendly staff, decent choice of food for breakfast, onsite sauna, large free car park at rear of hotel. This hotel is in need of modernisation, my room was basic and dated, the bed wasn’t too comfy either. The area around the hotel felt safe.

The staff are warm and friendly and can’t do enough for you. They go above and beyond to help. Breakfast was lovely with fresh bread cereals yoghurts fish cheeses ham etc. Location excellent. They offer parking. Bar is nice too with selection of local beers. Kettle provided.

You can't get a more central hotel in Östersund, perfect location. The helpful staff let us choose between two different rooms. We chose the room in the building opposite the main building. Large room with a nice bathroom. You could borrow bikes from the hotel. Good breakfast that offered both cold and hot food. We really recommend this hotel, very affordable.
