Hotel Jardim Viana do Castelo

I was very happy to arrive here after a long day on the Camino Portuguese. Some aspects of the hotel appear a little dated, but my room was clean and charming and the people working there kind and helpful. Considering that breakfast is included (and they had GF options available), staying here was an affordable “splurge”!

It's right in the heart of Viana do Castelo and the rooms are very charming with a retro flare. Staff is very welcoming and helpful and there's breakfast for €8. Of you're on the Camino there's a Laundromat 2 mins away and a great restaurant called Pacovio! There's plenty of restaurants and shopping near by and it's not too far from the Saint Luzia funicular. It is by the main street so it can be noisy bring earplugs!

I stayed 3 nights in Summer. Although they are very strict about the check-in (I arrived 20 minutes early), the room was large and had air-con and a fridge. The room service was good although they didn’t replenish the shower gel… I didn’t try the breakfast as for 8 euros it seemed a lot when next door there’s a lovely café which serves coffees and delicious pastries for less than 3 euros. It is centrally located in Viana so you can walk everywhere. Clean and comfortable bed.

This place was in a beautiful location right on the beach. The rooms were quite large with a full bath tub and balconies. The beds were comfy and the sheets were clean and comfortable. They had an elevator and the breakfast was Continental but quite a lovely selection. A very nice coffee maker. I forgot my e-reader there and they put it aside for me. Very trustworthy. 😁🥰

Really excellent location. Basic accommodation with all you need Inc toiletries. Breakfast consists of cooked meat slices, fresh fruit, pastries and coffee. Short walk to the river and restaurants nearby. Good air conditioning in an old restored building.

Very clean hotel Great size rooms with magnificent view

A beautiful vintage hotel. The location was perfect for walking everywhere! Comfortable accommodations, nice breakfast and helpful staff! Would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back! Beautiful Christmas displays all around the area!

The hotel is well situated within easy reach of all the attractions.|Front of house staff were, as one reviewer put it, lukewarm, I would even say tepid. No info was given at check in as to hotel facilities or where to go for breakfast etc. Even though the rooms are quite large they are very dated. No room safe, questionable electrics, dirty grout in walk in shower, no shower caps , no tissues. Wardrobe smelled old and musty. Breakfast was adequate in a very small dining room. Fried/scrambled eggs available on request.
