Absolutely a great choice! The hotel covered all my needs for my trip to Paris! The staff is extremely kind and helpful! The room, as the rest of the areas of the hotel, was spotless and with a few welcome gifts! Very cosy and with a character! Breakfast was wonderful, with a great variaty! Location also great, with a lot of local diners! Close to a metro station, which makes your tour easy to fulfill. For those who like long walks, all major sight seeing areas are just a "walk" away! I definitely recommend hotel Joke-Astotel for staying in Paris, for both pleasure and business trips!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! Everything was absolutely perfect — from the warm welcome at the reception to the excellent service throughout our visit. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was impressive. Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and tasty options. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience — I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

I’ve just stayed at Hotel Joke for an 2nd time and continue to recommend it to friends around the globe. It’s the perfect mid-range hotel. A warm and friendly staff who are relaxed and kind and give the impression that nothing is too much trouble. A comfortable room with delicious thick sheets and free goodies in the mini bar, Juliet balcony to enjoy the beautiful street scene and all for such a reasonable rate. Lots of charming extras included. As a solo traveler it feels extremely safe. 15 minute taxi to Eurostar, easy and scenic 45 minute walk to the main sightseeing areas. A few minutes from takeaway, pharmacy and small supermarket and close to beautiful Montmartre. Can’t wait to return.

Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Paris. We stayed for 4 nights and were very happy during our stay. Room was small but comfortable and had everything we would need for a short stay- the tea/coffee supplies plus free soft drinks in the mini bar was much appreciated as was the free soft/hot drinks plus snacks available in the lobby during the afternoon.|Breakfast had a good variety of continental/cold options and several hot options each day- couple of egg dishes/sausages/pancakes/hash browns or breakfast potatoes were the main choices when we stayed. |Staff were all friendly.|Our room was not too warm and quiet enough to sleep with the window open (we faced the courtyard and not the main road). Very close to the moulin rouge and bus plus metro both close by. |Would not hesitate to stay here again if I was in Paris.

My experience was acceptional!! The room was clean and all that we needed, and well priced. It was helpful to have an elevator to get our heavy suitcases up to our room, and a mini bar fridge for leftover meals. The hotel is surrounded by lots of Brasseries, Bistrots and Bolangerie/Patisserie (Aux Delices Du Moulin, delicious and a wonderful variety) that is a 30 second walk from the hotel which we went to daily. The hotel is located close to the metro and Moulin Rouge. All the staff from reception to cleaning staff at the Joke Hotel were so helpful and accommodating from start to finish. While staying I injured my knee and couldn't walk without crutches. My husband picked up my crutches so I could get around a bit. I was taken care of so well, the female staff at reception spoke English and was able to find a Doctor for me that would come to my hotel room. It was fantastic!!! The Doctor was very good, spoke English, was very knowledgeable, did a thorough assessment, and was kind. He gave me a prescription which my husband was able get filled for me. I can't say enough how grateful I am to the staff at the Joke Hotel for their compassion, kindness and going beyond their duty for me......thank you, thank you, thank you!!!🥰 I highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely come again! The staff were wonderful, the room was quiet, the bed comfortable, excellent water pressure in the shower and even a heated towel rack. The hotel is a block away from the Blanche metro stop with connections to let you wander all over Paris. Montmartre is just north of the hotel and awaits exploration. The hotel has so many great things going for it.

Stayed for three nights while on a sightseeing trip and really liked this hotel. Found it to be in a good location with many attractions walkable or Metro station close by if preferred. Liked the free snacks every afternoon and the minibar. Room was always cleaned when we were out every day. ||Wanted to love it but there were a few little niggles. Nothing that warranted us to complain at the time but still worth noting. For example we weren’t told that the room card could be used for the outside door of the hotel when we checked in, so continued to ring the bell until someone did inform us of this. The room was a little bit grubby in places. I took a bath one night and this could have been cleaner. Felt like it needed a good deep clean. Our doorstop was also out of the floor and loose the whole time. We were on the 4th floor (404) and it was very warm at night (even though outside temperature was cool). And as the air con is only operational in the summer it was uncomfortable. We ended up having open the doors to get some air but then this was very noisy so affected sleep too. ||I would still definitely consider returning here as thought the price and location was good.

I booked Hotel Joke through my rewards point system, but was so impressed that I’d happily pay full price to return. My daughter and I arrived separately, and the staff greeted us both warmly, helped us get situated, and provided excellent recommendations for exploring Paris.||We stayed in a double room with my family of four (two teenagers), and it was comfortable for all of us. The location is absolutely perfect—just one block from a metro station and about half a mile from both Galeries Lafayette and Montmartre, making it easy to explore the city.||The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the daily snacks and drinks provided in the room. But honestly, what makes Hotel Joke special is the staff. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine helpfulness made our stay memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.||I would absolutely stay at Hotel Joke again. Highly recommended for families visiting Paris!

Hôtel Joke is a great concept hotel. It seems really strange by American standards because it is so kitchy, but once you get past the weird name and cheesy concept, they have mastered quite a bit in terms of customer service and accomodations. We booked breakfast with our room. It included pasties, fruit, yogurt, breads, small crepes, a vegetable, meat and eggs. There were cereals offered too. They have a nice seating area. Snacks are offered each day, throughout the entire day for guests such as cakes, chips and fruit. Unlimited water, tea, coffee and sodas are also available in the lobby. Each room has a mini fridge with water and sodas. Our room also had a great balcony overlooking Rue de Blanche. The bathrooms are sizeable and the rooms are decent too. This hotel is relatively new, so everything is nice, clean and updated. Hôtel Joke is located on Rue de Blanche near Moulin Rouge. It is also about two short blocks from a grocery story, subway station and several shops. There is a laundromat one block away (where you'll find several other tourists). This is really a great area to lodge in Paris. It is historical, vibrant and very lively. It is also on a main busline. The customer service is superb at Hôtel Joke. From the time we entered, we were greeted with an enormous smile and felt immediately welcome. The front desk and breakfast staff are a small group of very hardworking people and their efforts do not go unnoticed by guests. Each front desk person was super friendly and always went the extra mile to have a conversation with us and to smile. My husband and I were celebrating a milestone and the staff noticed. They sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne. This small gesture truly went a long way and we were so grateful. In the future, I will likely book there again. Excellent experience.

The first impression is IKEA! Will I like it? Well, it's so muck fun! The staff, Arnaud at the front desk super nice, friendly. He let you know everything available to you during your stay. The hotel offers an optional buffet breakfast from 7:00-10:30am (M-F), till 11:00am on (Sat-Sun) for a set price. I'll try it tomorrow. Room service is available with a full menu from 5:00pm-12:00am. Open snack Bar in all Astotel Hotels in Paris complimentary from 2:00pm-2:00am The room has a spinning wheel game over the bed, love it! It will keep you going into romantic games all night long. A starry night neon ceiling! Feel like a kid. All the amenities in the room, hair dryer, safe, complimentary bar. The best is the location. Next to Montmartre! Easy access to The Louvre, Sacred Coeur Basilique. Highly recommend it!

What a whimsical place to stay in the Montmartre neighborhood for an excellent value.It's in a walkable location, just a block from the busy "Blanche" Metro stop. The rooms are petite and efficient, offering the basics of what you need on a trip. The tough thing was not having a dresser to organize clothes so my things were always in a flowing pile in the corner. For all your charging needs, I was delighted to find they offer free use of their electric converters. They also have USB ports next to the bed - on the 2nd night, mine stopped working though. Obviously, Hôtel Joke's round-the-clock snacks are a major reason I love this place. They offer a complimentary afternoon snack buffet that includes croissants, donuts, chips, figs and dates. There's also a free mini-bar in our room with soft drinks and bottled water. Free access to ALL snack buffets at the other Astotel properties around Paris. How cool is that? Pro Tips: - Book directly on Hôtel Joke's website to receive a room discount and free breakfast! - Make sure your room has a French balcony so you can enjoy the views

Great location 2 blocks away from Moulin rouge and Blanche metro station. And the complementary pastries at 16 different locations. Awesome balcony with sound blocking windows. Made my Paris experience extremely pleasant. Merci beaucoup Hôtel Joke!

We stayed in this hotel in the summer of 2017. It's small but nice. It was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there. The very best part of this hotel is the staff! So nice and attentive. I don't know Paris too much but it is situated relatively close to the Opera House, a couple of blocks from the Moulin Rouge but not as close to other Paris' points of interest. I Definitely recommend it.

I stayed here for 4 nights in June and everything about this hotel was fantastic! It recently opened after undergoing extensive renovation and redecorating to the old property, so nearly everything feels fresh and new. The decor was well thought out, and I really appreciated all of the little unexpected finishing touches. Rooms were immaculately clean and spacious by Paris standards, and the shower had great water pressure. Daily breakfast was included with the room rate if booking directly on the Astotel website (which was also the best rate I could find), and included a great selection of eggs, sausages, bacon, yogurts, cereals, pastries, meats, cheeses, and juices. They also serve free snacks and beverages in the hotel lobby in the afternoons and evenings, which was great for holding me over until my next meal. There is also a FREE MINIBAR in your room - the first I've ever encountered in all my hotel stays. It was so nice to come home after a long day of sightseeing and shopping and be able to crack open a free bottle of coke, juice, or water in the comfort of my own room. The staff were very kind and friendly and definitely surpassed my expectations. The location was very good, a couple for blocks from SoPi (which is full of cute cafes, brasseries, bars, and shops), 4 metro stops from Gare du Nord (where Eurostar and other trains are located) and walking distance to les grand magasins. The next time I'm in Paris I would definitely stay here again.
