Hotel Jokkmokk

Favourite hotel of the Inlandsbanan trip. Great setting by the lake. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Dinner was in the form of a buffet during the summer month of July but everything was of high quality and very enjoyable. Would stay here again.

Lake views from our room and the dining room made this quite a special location and possibly one of the better spots to be in Jokkmokk. The simple room had a small desk, a wardrobe, a couple of chairs and a TV. Breakfast was included and the large dining room was a pleasant space to relax. |On site bar & restaurant was convenient. |The wifi was patchy, lake and forest walks on your door step.

Nice small hotel but room and beds are really small

We stayed here in an emergency situation after a friend's accident and the staff were really helpful and accomodating. We arrived late in the night and they sorted our rooms and opened the bar back up for us to have a beer. Really kind and helpful staff. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Stayed here for a night on a group tour. The room was a bit small but not really an issue. While toiletries were a bit more basic, remember you are north of the Arctic Circle. The hotel is on Lake Talvatis. It is near the old church [limited hours] and not too far from the main drag. The fare at the Talvatis restaurant was a buffet. I enjoyed the appetizer items more than the main course options. The breakfast was fine. There is a well stocked bar. A pool table was available. A feature in the restaurant was a number of pelts and taxidermic pieces. It was an enjoyable stay in a quiet part of town.

Visited as part of a package trip for one night. Luggage transported to/from Inlandsbanan train station while we walked the modest distance between station & hotel.||Hotel is quite big and many rooms overlook the lake and grounds. Lovely setting.||Didn’t try the restaurant for dinner but the food did look good. Breakfast was very good, buffet style as is common in Sweden.||Room spacious and had all we needed. It was quite quiet. ||Bar area didn’t stay open very late and was had to move out of the area when they closed. The restaurant also does not do lunches.

Nice hôtel for a one night stay on the way to the north of Sweden.|Bedrooms and common areas were confortable and clean. |There are also a few facilities that you can use as the sauna, ping pong table and a pool table.||People are doing their best to serve customers. The welcoming is "Nordic" but always respectful and careful.||The only inconvenient part is the noise, that could |disturb people that are sensitive to it.||
