This was our first visit to Prague, and we were all completely blown away by the friendliness of the whole team. The hotel itself is in an excellent location, tucked away on a narrow street that is surprisingly quiet given its proximity to the heart of the city. We were upgraded, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated.||The rooms, even with the upgrade, are on the small side and not cheap, but for us, as singletons, space was not an issue. The room was spotlessly clean, with quiet air conditioning that was easy to use, a minibar restocked daily (no alcohol), a Nespresso machine (but no kettle), and Molton Brown toiletries which made it feel like a home from home. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the large windows could be opened. The bathroom, designed with clear and frosted glass, felt light and airy, though it may not suit everyone—you do need to be comfortable with your travelling partner if sharing.||Breakfast was AMAZING!!!! Everything you could possibly want and more.||There were, however, a couple of quirks. The entrance and reception area is sparse, modern and bordering on clinical. The reception “desk” is just four podium stands, which might look efficient but are impractical when filling in registration forms—we found ourselves balancing on one leg and leaning on suitcases. The bar was also disappointing. On our first visit there was no champagne, so we went elsewhere. On the second, we ordered sherry and a Sicilian white wine, neither of which were available despite being on the menu. A simple note about unavailable items would avoid the frustration.||All that said, we would return in a heartbeat. The team truly treat you like royalty.
