Great hotel to stay in Distric 9 near Opera. The staff is wonderful. My husband and I will like to thank the young lady from Tibet who was very helpful and kind, she is a great asset to the hotel. We were upgraded to a larger room, which was more confortable because of my disability. The hotel location is great, just two blocks from restaurants and transportation to get to many places in Beautiful Paris. Breakfast was good. I|Recommend this place for a great stay in Paris. The hotel is keep very clean which for me is very important.

This was the fourth or fifth (maybe more, but the pandemic got in the way!) time I've stayed at the Josephine and it did not disappoint at all. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast in the lovely cellar is the perfect way to start the day. The hotel is in a wonderful location as you can pretty much walk everywhere and the area it's in is so interesting and rich in local Parisian flavour. Go and stay at the Josephine - you won't be disappointed!

The service was great, they changed my room as well when I asked to give me one facing the main road. The hotel is undergoing renovation, so I will for sure be back when it's done, I expect it to be super nice. My only note is that the lighting currently isn't great, with rooms having shades of red as main tones, the dim lighting isn't great, my room had 4 light fixtures, I'd prefer one main one, that was bright, and then the bedside lamps if you need dimmer lighting. Also the switches were annoying, I had to turn on in 3 different places to have all lights on, and had to go through the same ritual to turn them off ( corridor sitch turned light for corridor and two light fixtures in the room, and two switches on each side of the bed for their respective lamps, and all four were needed for adequate lighting). I removed three spider webs (again lighting might be why the cleaning lady didn't see those), one was hanging right above the bed, so I saw it when I got into the bed. But the overall experience was ok, I would like to see the hotel after renovation is complete, I liked the location and the staff were super nice and helpful. PS the pics are from the single room, I didn't take pics of the double room I got switched to, but the decor is pretty much the same.

Upon arrival we worried because of the proximity to Moulin Rouge, but the hotel is a pleasant 2 blocks away and it's so quiet. The room is small but had everything we needed. The staff at the hotel were so nice and helpful! I would stay here again and definitely recommend to friends.

lovely hotel, very kind and friendly staff for english speakers; especially sweet interactions with Wangmo when checking out and gave some nice recommendations related to our conversations, and she took insanely good care of my luggage since i had a gap between switching hotels. will definitely stay here again! the decor was very pop art, moulin rouge-inspired, first time in Paris was perfection

The hotel is located in a fantastic neighborhood, just steps away from the Lido and surrounded by charming restaurants. The area alone sets a great tone for a stay. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby impresses with its Belle Époque-style decor, immediately immersing guests in a refined atmosphere. However, the charm begins to wane upon entering the rooms. As is often the case in Paris, the rooms are exceptionally small, creating an uncomfortable sense of closeness. While the room was tastefully decorated, the decor felt somewhat dated, with signs of wear such as a malfunctioning sink and an unpleasantly warm temperature during the night. Overall, despite its aesthetic appeal, the room lacked the comfort one would expect, especially for a four-star hotel. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing, featuring low-quality industrial products without any distinctive style or charm. At a price of €200 per night, the overall value feels exorbitant. This hotel would be more appropriately priced at around €150, where it could be considered decent but still far from exceptional. Sadly, it seems like yet another Parisian hotel stuck in the 1990s, delivering a lackluster experience under the guise of four-star prestige.

If you want to be close to Montmarte you want to stay at Hotel Josephine. It is in a great location, close to the train station and bus. The area right past Moulin Rouge is gorgeous and has a lot of hidden gems to dine and shop. I do want to mention we ended up walking a lot at night due to jet lag, and we felt safe doing so. I do suggest you still be aware of your belongings as you would anywhere at night. The hotel room has everything you need and nothing more. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back!

The perfect hotel that I will stay at without hesitation when I come to Paris again. The cleanliness, proximity to the center and the smiling faces of the staff were great. I travel often. It was the first time I came across a handwritten welcome note. And I loved it, thank you for everything
