Hotel Joyce - Astotel, a Design Boutique Hotel Paris, France

"The hotel Joyce is a brand new hotel situated in the bustling 9 arrondissment of the French capital. Because it has only been open since November 2009, guest can of course expect the design and feel of this hotel to be extremely contemporary. All the rooms and public spaces of the hotel are light and bright and are equipped with all mod cons such as air conditioning and free WiFi access in every room. The décor is simple, fresh and fun. Each room of the Joyce has been uniquely decorated in different colours with different furnishings so you could come here time and time again and stay in a completely individual room each time. One thing they all have in common however is comfort and style, large comfortable beds, soft towels and nice bathrooms with free organic toiletries mean guests should have everything they need to get a good night’s sleep. The staff at hotel Joyce are amenable and attentive and willing to cater to your every need. This hotel prides itself on its friendly welcome and staff will be happy to recommend places to eat, to arrange transport or to answer any questions you may have. A comfortable lounge area with a striking glass roof is perfect for guests to relax in and admire the unique art that adorns the walls. The hotel Joyce is an elegant and comfortable base from which you can easily access all the most popular attractions in Paris." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Everything was superb - staff, cleanliness, room location. As a librarian I loved the design on the wall behind my bed. The little fridge in my room was so handy, and re-filled each day. I got first class instructions for getting to Versailles. I was so relieved when I saw the very crowded St Lazare platform that I'd been advised to get the train from Montparnasse. Lots of great eateries, little shops, squares within a short walk. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend it

I had a wonderful stay at the Joyce Hotel! The rooms are cozy, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. The staff is warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with directions or recommendations. The location is perfect—close to many attractions, cafes, and public transport. I especially loved the quiet, relaxing atmosphere after a busy day exploring Paris. I would definitely recommend Joyce Hotel to anyone visiting the city! Especial thanks to Emma, Mr. Germain, Montu and B and guy among all of them amazing staff .

We had another lovely stay at Hotel Joyce. It was very hot in Paris the week we were visiting and the air conditioning in the room made it very comfortable. Our room was cleaned daily and our mini fridge was re-stocked with drinks like water and juice. The free snack bar and coffee bar in the lobby is a nice addition. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. When my husband needed an ironing board they promptly got one for him, and when our TV was having issues they fixed it as soon as they could. The hotel is located in a great spot. A short walk away from Pigalle and Saint George’s metro stations, and not too far from the Montmartre area. We will gladly stay here again next time we are in Paris!

The hotel is lovely. The rooms are charming. The air conditioning is great! The breakfast and snacks are wonderful. This hotel is a bit far from city center, so we ended up taking a lot of Ubers. The Metro was very crowded and hot, but you can take the Metro too. I would recommend for an economical stay in a charming hotel. We really liked it!

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel recently. We received good service from all staff but would like to specifically thank staff, ' Kadija'. She made our ' breakfast experience ' special with her warm and welcoming smile every morning. Her service was impeccable. We wish her the very best.

Stayed for just one night and it had everything we needed. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. Service desk was helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage until check in which was ready nice and we were grateful! Location was good. I would recommend!

Google
The hotel surpassed my expectations. The staff was very nice and the rooms were exceptional. I booked an apartment since I was travelling with 2 kids. The apartment was very specious and clean.|24 hour snacks in the lobby were an icing on the cake. I booked it for 6 nights and the beds were quite comfortable. |The only thing I would recommend is to have different breakfast items and not the same everyday.

Google
We stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely loved our experience at this hotel. This is rated as 3 star but their staff and service is a 5 star experience. We booked a family room which came with adequate space. The best thing about this hotel is a PRIME location, just few steps away with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants and metros. The breakfast area is small but filled with good options to get your day started. They have complementary treats in the afternoon/evening which is always nice! If we are back in Paris we will be sure to stay at this very special boutique hotel. Tip: we found through their website with rates to be cheaper vs expedia/ booking etc..

Yelp
- Locale Destination - It's on rue la Bruyère and rue jean-Baptiste in Saint Georges, Paris. It's close to the subway station, supermarket, cafe, restaurants, shops, Moulin Rouge and Montmartre etc. Super convenient to get to anywhere! I love this area! Ambiance: cute, chic, updated boutique hotel. Nice! Service: English ok, great amenities like free Wi-Fi, free mini bars, breakfast like €14 (don't even bother it! You got so many better options in the neighborhood!). Very clean, quiet& cute! Elevator is super tiny for 2 people. Price: inexpensive yet great enough! - Conqueror's Deduction - Loved the convenience - location, clean, cheap, safe, and English ok! I'll come back here if I come to Paris alone!

Yelp
Some of the staff was nice, most cringed when asking a question and were very rude. The breakfast was ok but pretty repetitive since it is the same thing everyday and it was purchased, not free. They acted like it was a hassle to put out what was already gone and they don't like you taking much. The snacks in the evening were nice. If staying on the first floor beware of the room above the dining area bright lights on all night. Pretty noisy as well, my bathtub was broken and I had to ask three times before it was fixed and then the next day same thing. They don't like you taking breakfast up to your room they watch everything you take which is annoying I paid for it shouldn't matter. Defiantly wouldn't stay here again. 40 minutes on train to city center Paris and 25 by Uber pretty inconvenient if you are a out of town tourist wanting to see everything Paris.

Yelp
Insanely adorable place and top notch service. Came across this accidentally on TripAdvisor and booked it for location and affordability. Was able to check in early. Enjoyed the breakfast in the garden room. Guest room was great! Balcony was nice treat. Comfortable bed. Great shower and water pressure. Loved everything and would return as well as try their other properties. Close walk to Moulin Rouge and St. George metro stop to get to all points of city. Maybe 10 min ride to Louvre, etc.

Yelp
I stayed here for a week during my holiday in Paris. I was out being a tourist most of the time, but I definitely enjoyed staying here. Things were quiet, clean and comfortable - the breakfast buffet in the mornings were awesome. Close to a few metro stations as well. Also located in a safe part of town - this was important since I was staying by myself. The staff was great - all very helpful. If I make it back to Paris, and I know I will - this is definitely where I'll stay!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed in Joyce Astotel for four nights . Location is perfect right in the heart of 9 th district near Opera House , plenty of restaurants and boutiques, yet on a very quite street with easy access to everything. . The hotel is super cute , clean , tastefuly done. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. But most importantly- the staff is fantastic. Thank you Douglas and all the lovely ladies at the reception for being so helpful, friendly and making our trip even more pleasant! Au revour! Hope to be back soon!

Yelp
Sooooo meh. First the pros: nice women working at reception and Kahn (sp?) was wonderful! We loved him so much! The decor is pretty cool and I thought our room was bright and airy and generally really liked the vibe of the place. Location is good. The cons: Samuel Samuel Samuel. This guy is the worst. He mainly works overnights, which is probably a good thing because he is a nightmare to deal with. Both me and my travel companion had separate unpleasant interactions with him. I had come down and asked him for some honey at 2am as my partner was feeling under the weather and had a very painful throat. He gave me a single small serving of honey- I asked for another and he went on and on griping about how much this costs the hotel! I couldn't believe it! It was prolly $2...maybe!!! Charge it to my freakin room than! omg Smh. There was also black mold in the corners of our bathroom. So idk we wouldn't stay there again...but overall, it could have been worse

Yelp
This hotel is wonderful! The staff is the best part of this hotel. They're so friendly and helpful! 5 star service from them at all times. (Except one guy over night, an older guy!) Hotel is walking distance to Moulin Rouge and Sacred Heart Church (beware of those black guys as you walk up to church they're very very pushy! They grabbed me and my wife by the arm!) they won't take no for an answer! Our room was great, pretty big for Europe. Bed was super comfy. AC works great! Shower is a bit small but no big deal. They also stock your mini fridge with some water, juice and soda free of charge. We didn't opt for the breakfast but it looked pretty good. I do like that they offer "open bar" which is juices and sodas, very nice! They also have great little pastries and snacks to go with the drinks. Such a nice treat when you've been out all day and want a quick snack before dinner. We also loved the fact that you can visit any of their sister hotels and go in and get the "open bar" too. Everyone at the hotels is friendly. Astotel does a great job! 5 stars! Definitely will stay here again!

Yelp
Here I am in wonderful Paris!!!! So happy to be here and enjoying our stay at Hotel Joyce! We were greeted by Hatem, who spoke perfect English and was patient while we looked through our many bags for our credit card. The hotel is clean and the decor is so cute! One of the reasons why I picked this place was the decor, the breakfast, the free wifi, and how friendly the staff is. I am so happy that the reviews were right. A/C somewhat needed for a Texan, and the rooms are a little small but we're in Europe. Everything is pretty posh about this place and I look forward to the rest of our stay. Happy to be here in Paris and happy we chose to stay at Hotel Joyce. And the front desk can tell you everything you need to know about the metro and how to get around this huge city!!!

Yelp
I have stayed at Joyce multiple times. I really like their professional, friendly, courteous service. While all of the staff were great, I would like to thank Priyatosh specifically for a very cordial service.

Yelp
We stayed at Hotel Joyce for five nights and I loved it! All of the staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Samuel. It's rare to find a hotel that offers great amenities like free breakfast and water bottles to take with you to your room or out for the day. This breakfast it comes with was one of my favorite breakfasts of the entire trip (including London and Amsterdam)! The quiche is the best quiche I've ever had. You are getting a good restaurant experience but it's just part of the stay! The room itsef was small but not unmanagable. We made it work with the desk space, closet, nightstands, and air conditioning shelf. The bathroom is also small but the worst part is the shower has no door or barrier so the water could go everywhere. And there is no shelf in the shower so all the toiletries go on the floor. The only attraction that is walking distance is the Moulin Rouge. It's about a 10 minute walk, I did it in heels. Everything else you will need to take the metro, but we managed very easily. I will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
The service was great, friendly, helpful and they went out of their way to help me fix my luggage as I accidentally locked it and left my keys inside... The staff promptly got a metal file and helped me fix my mistake, I didn't have to go to a locksmith. The daily breakfast was awesome and the food was fresh and good quality. I loved the snacks and drinks. Our room was facing the street but it was surprisingly quiet. The room was big for Paris standards, clean and the bathroom was larger than my NYC bathroom! I highly recommend and will stay here or in the other Astotel hotels.

Yelp
I just returned from my trip to Paris and Hotel Joyce was exactly what we needed! - free wireless in the lobby - Free internet connection in rooms - great design elements through out the hotel - free breakfast from 7-10am - very helpful staff with restaurant recommendations and directions for sites in Paris - Metro is only 2 blocks away (M12 line @ St. George) - walking distance from moulin rouge (the staff was very helpful with assisting us with reservations for a canne canne show). - great shopping blocks away - Lafayette and Print Temps department stores (be sure to go to the visitors section with your passport before shopping at Lafayette to receive tax free clearance for shopping). - We stayed in room 507, it was larger than most hotel rooms that I've stayed at in Paris. Long hall way, large room, and extremely large bathroom. - Book online on their website for the best price. we paid 89 euros a night for a 3 night stay. LOVE LOVE LOVE Hotel Joyce... i will stay there again! Also, on our way out we noticed that one of their sister hotels is directly across the street and looked just as nice!

Yelp
Loved our overnight stay though 161 euro was the most expensive room we paid for on our European trip. It was worth it - we were meeting friends and seeing a show and the hotel was within 2 blocks. The metro - two different lines are a quick walk - the Pigalle district is at the base of Montmarte so Sacre Coeur looks over you - which is lovely. Free wifi worked great - the free drinks during the day and the massive breakfast buffet were really all fantastic. Would definitely stay again. We were two friends and we requested and stayed in a room with two twin beds which was roomy, felt brand new and worked out great for us (Room 2). As others have noted the staff at the hotel were TRES FANTASTIQUE!!

Yelp
I am sitting here at breakfast on my last of 8 days at Hotel Joyce and am honestly sad to be leaving. The hotel itself is wonderful. The style of decoration, cleanliness, the location and reasonable price are enough reasons for a return visit. However, the differentiator for this hotel is the staff. The desk personnel were extremely helpful. Over the last week, I've been very impressed with Hatem, Kevin and Khalid. In addition, Philip, who works the breakfast every day, has taken notice to my preferences and has made me feel at home every morning by having my coffee and warm milk ready for me before I even ask. I would recommend this hotel over and over again.

Yelp
The Joyce is a lovely hotel. Very welcoming and great staff. Rooms are a good size with some being large. Breakfast offers a good selection of pastries, meats and cheeses and tea, coffee and juices. I liked the location as away from the hustle and bustle. Many restaurants and bars in the area. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room near the check in desk and is lovely and plent of light with the glass roof. It has car seats along o e wall which serve as seats for tge tables. They are very comfy. There is tea, coffee, juices patries available here complimentary for guests available 24 hours. Hotel also has complimentary wifi. Will definitely be returning.
