"Set in the New Aquitaine town of Uzerche, the so-called “pearl of the Limousin,” was a rather fortress-like boarding school with a commanding view. Today, as a luxurious small hotel, it’s a member of Les Collectioneurs, and is known as the Hôtel Joyet de Maubec. Excellent hotel and restaurant with helpful, friendly service. We stayed one night to break a journey through France, having dinner and breakfast. Lots of special touches in the room: powerful shower, fluffy robes, heated bathroom mirror. Cooked to order bacon and eggs for breakfast was the cherry on the top of the cake. We will return.

We had a small but lovely, clean room overlooking the delightful Uzerche, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Definitely the best hotel in Uzerche. I checked them all on internet and on site! The menu in the restaurant is small but everything is delicious, the menu changes every month. All the members of staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.

The owners have done a splendid job in modernising the chateau, and creating a comfortable sophisticated environment. We were welcomed and looked after throughout. Being perched at the top of a hill overlooking a deep valley, the views are great.|Dinner in the restaurant was also a really good experience. I hope we can find a way to return.....

Stayed for one night as a stop over while travelling south. Hotel is in a delightful, quiet location at the top of the old town. Do save some time to look around Uzerche as it is well worth it. The welcome at the hotel was warm and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and the hotel’s restaurant serves top quality food at good value for money prices. Definitely one to visit again at some point and would happily recommend it to others.

We stayed for 2 nights with our family at hotel Joyet de Maubec in the beautiful, quiet town that is Uzerche. Gorgeous hotel with panoramic views and don’t forget to try the restaurant (ask for a table on the terrace). Both breakfast and dinner were lovely! Thank you to the superfriendly team (including sweetest dog ever “Omega”)!

Clean and comfortable room with a good shower. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Great breakfast. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay again. Nice terrace with a view. We did have trouble finding it but it was worth the effort.

We stayed for one night in a Superior Double room overlooking the little carpark. Our host provided towelling robes as she noticed none had been provided in the room. We later discovered we had no towels but these were also quickly provided. The room was comfortable and clean.||||The hardworking hosts have transformed this former mansion into a stylish modern hotel.

I was reading some few comments about a negative price performance level of the restaurant. Especially about the low temp. cooked beef. This motivated me to try this beef to get a own opinion. My beef was fantastic and a menu for 42 Euros on that level is far away from being expensive. It's a beautiful restaurant with charming stuff, great wines and dishes. It has my full recommendation. Dear stuff, go on like that. 😍
