Hotel Juan II

We came on a bike trip. Great service and the view from the terrace heavenly. Kept the bikes but as the restaurant was closed I had to run downtown to buy a corkscrew🚴🤣

Nice hotel with a great view and gorgeous outdoor dining. Food is absolutely delicious, especially the crispy pork belly, fried eggplant and zucchini millefeuille. Definitely recommend

I like this location more than the rooms, but it's not a luxury hotel. Each room has their AC controlled by the desk, if you can't get your room cool, just ask the desk. Has a great view and restaurant and bar in the basement with a patio. Conveniently located near an old cathedral and near the center of town where you'll find plenty of independent shops, restaurants, and of course history! I would stay here again.

This hotel is full of charm and character. It's location is perfect offering a panoramic view out over the Duero plain. My only gripe is that the beds are tiny. I'm 1.78m and my feet were hanging off the bottom of the mattress. The rooms above the terrace bar have to endure the noise and music until after midnight.

Touring on a motorcycle and this was our first stop, arrived around 5pm to find the restaurant advertised was not open. We then had to search around for somewhere to eat, tea and coffee facility in the room was missing. They rectified this leaving one coffee pod each, you need to be relatively fluent in Spanish as basic language makes being understood very difficult. Great views and historic buildings with good local bars, learn your Spanish and you'll enjoy.

This hotel is exceptionally well-run. The staff are welcoming and efficient and the rooms are well-maintained, charming and some have spectacular views (well worth paying extra for).|The cafeteria has excellent tapas and is great value for money and popular with the locals. Parking for the motorcycle was easy outside. The town is delightful and overall thus was a great choice of a place to stop. We will definitely come back!|

Lovely hotel next to the 'Church' which at night looked beautiful. Parking was easy in front of the hotel and check in efficient, we were a very late arrival and no issues. The room although fairly basic, was very comfortable with a good bathroom and air-conditioning. Views over the River Douro from the terrace in the room were a delight!||Good simple breakfast, again with views, and good coffee. The hotel also has a nice bar and a small pool.||We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our visit to the lovely town of Toro which has plenty of bars and places to eat. ||As a bonus the hotel is dog friendly and was good value.

Whenever I've visited Toro I've stayed here. It's a good hotel in a superb location. There are rooms with fantastic views over the plain. I didn't book one of those but luckily had a perfect view of the church. I would strongly recommend this, for the location if nothing else.

The bar and restaurant is kind of hidden you have to take a ramp down hill by the viewing area. But it's worth it! The view is fantastic. Good place to stop for a coffee or beer.
