I stayed with a 14pax group at Hotel Jugoslavija between May 25th and May 31st and it was a pretty difficult experience. The Hotel is in dire need of care and renovation, and the staff is overall unhelpful and in constant bad humour. The rooms and toilets are plain dirty, the smell of tobacco is deeply embedded into the old carpets and there is a decadent sense all over. Out of our 14 rooms, we had several issues arising: I had a roach in my room on my 2nd night (which I had to kill myself, because the phone to the reception was not working), 3 showers were not working (water in every direction but the one you would expect), 5 of us needed to shower in cold water all throughout our stay, the blackout curtains are not sufficiently blackout, all toilets were really unclean and, worst of all, one of our colleagues caught bed bugs and was dealing with a severe allergic reacion for over one week (and spent over 200€ desinfesting her home). On a more positive point, breakfast is plentiful, though really unsuitable for vegetarians (which is my case), as 90% of all items served contain meat. Beds were confortable enough and sheets and towels appeared to be clean. I do not recommend.
