Hotel Julian

Absolutely first class service from the staff at this lovely hotel located in a perfect location. Lovely spotless modern rooms integrated with the old style architecture of the main hotel and stairs which has been retained and maintained to a high standard. Ideally located and within waking distance of all the main areas but still far enough away from the very busy old town square to be a nice place of relaxation after a busy day sightseeing. Charles bridge only 15 minute walk from hotel door. Staff very helpful with nothing a problem to them at all. ||A fantastic place to stay.

Hotel Julian is a lovely hotel in an excellent location! They have a rooftop terrace which was really nice with views of the city and Prague Castle. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and accomodating. Special shout out to Petr at the Reception Desk. Petr was so nice, friendly, and very accommodating. He answered all our questions patiently, and was very detailed with his information. Thanks again Petr! Breakfast was well-presented and delicious; plenty of varieties to choose from. We stayed at the Attic Suite Phantasia, which was perfect for our group of 4 women. It's a nice large room with plenty of space to move around and set up our numerous luggage. Our room was also very clean and beds were very comfortable, including the pull-out sofa bed. Bathroom was also large, with plenty of counter top to set up 4 sets of toiletries, and a good-sized sink. Bathroom was also nicely equipped with numerous towel bars, and a plentiful supply of hotel amenities like shampoos, shower gels, and soaps already at hand that we did not require replenishment of said items during our stay, other than toilet paper. Water pressure in the shower was decent. The only thing that was a concern was the tub getting slippery after first use. Perhaps a rubber mat will solve this. Our private transfers arranged by the hotel were on time and efficient. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Julian and would highly recommend to family and friends.

I stayed at Hotel Julian in Prague in 2007. The experience was good so I decided to use them in 2025. It is every bit as good as before. Helpful, charming staff on reception, particularly Marcella, who were willing to book restaurants, taxis, trips, everything you require. Free tea in the library if you wish, or order whatever you like to drink at reception and it will be brought to you in the library or area beside the entrance. Rooms comfortable, kettle/tea/coffee/biscuits, bed very comfortable. Buffet breakfast outstanding. Rooftop terrace has great views above Prague and an interesting statue seated on the bench. There are excellent restaurants nearby, trams within one minutes walking distance and, because the hotel is on the other side of the river, near the castle, you have guaranteed peace and quiet. What more could you want.

Absolute perfection! Stayed for 5 nights and this place is a real gem! The rooms are spacious, clean and cozy, the staff is fantastic and the breakfast is 10/10! The location of this place absolutely cannot be beat-both walking and tram accessible within minutes to everything. Note-don’t sleep on the bar next door! The smoky beer is well worth the visit!

We stayed there for one week. Location is very good:15-20 minutes walking distance to the old city. The atmosphere is very friendly. Our room was clean and not noisy. I gave it 4 stars because of one concern- the breakfast. Open hours from 7 to 10:30. We arrived on most the days 30-40 minutes before closing, and unfortunately, most of the food wasn't there, and the buffet employees didn't try to keep the variety of food the same as at the opening hours. On our last day, we came at 7 am and saw the difference. Otherwise, it is a very good hotel and highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. The location is perfect, offering easy access to the charming city centre. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!

When we got to Prague, we were so welcomed by the staff, gave us ways to move around the city. Breakfast included and very good. Rooms are bigger than expected for an European hotel. Noise, yes, but they gave you ear plugs to manage it. Great experience!

The staff is Friendly & extremely helpful, the breakfast is delicious with a wide variety of gourmet choices, the rooms are cozy and clean, the decor is beautiful, the restaurant downstairs is authentic and homey and well-managed, and it even has a rooftop patio. I've had a very enjoyable stay.

What makes this hotel truly shine is the level of service. This is a hotel that knows how to treat its guests. I booked three nights through Groupon for a very reasonable price, considering the hotel's excellent location in one of the most visited cities in Europe (LOVE Praha!). I emailed them several times - once to confirm the reservation and another time about ordering an airport shuttle service. Every time they responded quickly, taking care of my request in a prompt manner. As weary travelers, we were greeted at the hotel with a warm hello and detailed description of the amenities and services offered. We took the opportunity to go on a walking tour of the city with one of the hotel employees, Vaclav, who was enthusiastic and super friendly. The hotel is located in Prague 5, within walking distance of Old Town. It's very close to Mala Stranna and there's a tram stop just a few minutes away. The building itself is old, but is tastefully decorated and our dwelling bathroom had been completely remodeled. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the hotel restaurant served very good traditional food.

This hotel came highly recommended by a frequent guest. Their location away from Old Town is a plus, as it is much quieter, and neighborhood like. Very close to public transportation, and a thriving local area, we could walk, tram or Uber to anywhere in the city. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The morning breakfast is adequate, but their happy hour stands out as best. Grocery store nearby, plenty of local bars, and a brewery. Busy place, but well done in every regard.

Great Hotel just outside the Old Town in Prague. Lovely Old Hotel tastefully presented in Art Nouveau style, but with all modern facilities. I have stayed here twice and i just think it's a friendly and really comfortable Hotel with great amenities and nice prices. Recommended by me.

Very beautiful building in a quiet location only a short walk to the river and the downtown. Off the main tourist drag but still easily accessible. The staff were all lovely--helping us with printing documents and directions and trams to take. Amazing rooftop terrace and good breakfast every morning. Overall, the hotel has anticipated every need and is very accommodating. Would definitely stay again, very good value!

Highly recommend! Small & charming hotel conveniently located just a short walk from Old Town and Prague Castle (~15 minutes). What I loved: -Amazing customer service! -Reasonably priced rates -Complimentary hot breakfast with a surprisingly large and yummy variety of food/juices -So close to all the tourist sites, but just far enough to have a quiet, peaceful night of rest after long days of touring -Quiet because it's just a bit off the main tourist area -Clean -Modern amenities in a historic building -Free wifi -Cute rooftop with views of the castle, great for enjoying a low key meal or glass of wine What I didn't love: -NOTHING. I loved everything about this hotel! I would 100% stay here again in the future and totally recommend it!
