This historic hotel is on the lake shore below Himmelbjerget and is a stopping off point for the pleasure boats which cruise the surrounding lakes and rivers.
There is plenty of outdoor seating for fine weather, and the hotel is an attractive and ornate wooden building. There is a kiosk to one side but its worth going inside to main dining room. It is spacious with a very high ceiling and Victorian fixtures and fittings. There are brass lamps and historic photos around the walls, and if you can get a window seat there are panoramic views.
I stopped for a cup of tea, just to enjoy the atmosphere of the place and the views.
