Staff: The date we visited is June 13, 2025. While checking in, we chose to pay by card and mentioned we don't have enough cash because one of us was pickpocketed in Lyon. Without showing sympathy, the front desk laughed and said "But you are from Taiwan!", implying we should have been aware of it because we have the same situation. (However, Taiwan is where you can leave your laptop or mobile phone on the table of a crowded cafe for securing your seat while going to toilet, no need to worry they will be stealth.) In the last part of the check-in process, the same staff mentioned we can leave our luggage at the front desk for a while after checked out, and my friend gave a compliment by saying suprisingly "how come you know that's my next question?". But he replied "because you Chinese always behave the same." As Taiwanese, of course it's not nice to be called Chinese, so we explained nicely that it may cause problem by saying so, because it's just like calling an Ukrainian a Russian. The he said "they are the same, the root is the same, the behavior is the same" and then he got emotional and said further "I don't want to talk about politics, but everyone does bad things, the Ukrainian, the Russian, the Israelis ....(followed many sentences about Gaza, Hamas and something with a speed that my English ability wasn't able to catch up." The situation was so ridiculous that we just wanted to go to our room and didn't want to argue with him anymore.
In my opinion, as a hotel, of course every staff can have their opinion about politics, but it's really not necessarily to poke or insult your customers. We would see you only couple times, we don't need to know your opinion either.
Room: Nice and clean. The noise from outside is very loud during the night, but the ear plugs the hotel provided helped.
Breakfast: Delicious but always lacking something. The supply needs be taken care of more often .
Location: Good.
