Hotel Kamal

POSITIVES:|1) Location: very close to the Taj, and you can see it from the rooftop.||2) Food: Food was very good and we didn’t get ill as Westerners. ||3) Room: Room was basic but was a good size with lots of storage and a sofa, bed was quite firm but large and comfortable. ||4) Noise: Hotel was fairly quiet so no disrupted sleep. ||NEGATIVES:|1) Rooftop restaurant: Bit of a stretch to call it a restaurant… There were some plastic chairs and tables up there but no ambience. Also there are monkeys, one of which was quite aggressive in the morning so we decided to eat in our room instead. ||2) Over friendly staff: Whilst it was lovely in one way, we weren’t left alone by the waiter whilst having dinner on the rooftop. We had wanted a romantic meal overlooking the Taj but didn’t have the heart to ask for privacy. It was a lovely conversation but could have been 45 minutes shorter so we had some alone time. ||3) Hot water: Word of warning, in the morning when everyone is getting ready to enter the Taj for sunrise there is no hot water at all so cold showers only. Recommend showering in the evening instead. ||OVERALL: Don’t expect much for this price point but if only staying 1/2 nights it’s a decent choice.

The location is the very best, only a 5 min walk from the gates of the Taj Mahal! As foreigners from the United States, the hotel room accommodations were very good. The food prepared by the hotel owners was delicious, hygienic, and home cooked, truly incredible all around. The hotel rooms were very clean with no bugs at all. The showers were amazing with hot, high pressure water for long showers. Beds and pillows were very comfortable for sound sleep. The owners were very friendly. No need to stay or eat anywhere else in Agra; we found everything we needed here! 5 out of 5 stars, impeccable accommodations.

We even stayed 4 days, to recover from a severe cold. The family hotel offers a good mixture of local guests, whole families and backpackers. Our simple room was cosy, we slept well and both recovered. Nikky (Abhishek) is a very friendly host, the view from the top roof is stunning. Kitchen & service almost around the clock. Hot shower, inshallah!

Location is perfect to visit taj mahal Booked super deluxe room. But wifi were not available there. I asked the receptionist but didn't get any help. Rooms were good , location is good wifi is worst. Service is okay

Location is great. They have secure parking!!! 24hr hot water. You need to fill up the bucket one time before the hot water starts coming. The best view from the rooftop of the Taj Mahal. You can also walk along the outside wall of the Taj Mahal very close. Paid 1850 for single room. Deluxe room is 2850. Free wifi. Very very kind and polite staff

Excellent location, a few minutes' walk from the Taj Mahal, amazing staff, everything you ask for is taken care of immediately, very good rooms with ac and a ceiling fan, and all the services you need from a room. I highly recommend, hope to return.

Paid 1850 for clean non-ac single occupancy room. They have parking. Great restaurant with view. Honest staff and owners. Walking distance to Taj and markets. If driving or motorcycle them come from “Taj Mahal Metro Station”

Raju Bhai is brilliant person, chef and a manager for last 35 years. The rooms are cosy. Taj Mahal is 3 minutes walking distance. The roof top view of Taj is nearest in entire city. Please Like the pics I shot with ultra s24 from roof top restaurant.
