Hotel advertised on booking com as pet friendly, but my family was denied to stay because "dog is too big". In the middle of the night, without refunding. If you don't allow pets to stay, just don't fool tired people looking for a place to sleep at least couple hours after long travel

My husband and I stayed as wedding guests last October. For the cost of the hotel, we were happy with the size and facilities of the room (toiletries, tea / coffee, hangers were all offered). We had two comfortable night's sleep in the hotel as well as an enjoyable breakfast offering a good buffet selection. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the main attractions within Chelm and I would recommend to others.

We booked this hotel because is close to our relatives house and they recommend us to stay in here. We required a high floor and we got one with views over the city at night. Room was clean and spacious enough for us and our luggage. Bathroom was clean. We had a nice sleep. The hotel is located close to town centre so chalk mines and churches are a walking distance from there. ||The downside of this hotel is the staff. They do their job and that's all. No smiles, no kindness, no friendly people. You can improve a lot on that.

We came here at three o'clock at night without reservation. The staff was friendly helping us. They cheched us in and we had a good sleep. The beds are very good and so is the room. There is TV, wifi, nice bathroom. I liked staying there.

The staff were friendly, professional and competent. The hotel was a bright, pleasant place to be and perfectly situated on the edge of Chelm just a short walk from everything! When we return to Chelm, this is the place we will choose. The huge park opposite is great for children, too.

We were also wedding guests and found and the staff at Hotel Kamena worked hard in order to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We have three young children, and the staff were helpful with practical knowledge (eg train times, directions to the nearest playground)

Good enough ) rooms clear but personal don't know English) I was in the elevator and pressed 1 floor but it takes me to second floor) I asked on reception what button should I press to be at first floor. He have no idea what I say ) I know that my English is not perfect but I decide to ask him - do you know English ? He answer me - No, no English. Thanks God my friend was with me ( he knows polish )

This used to be the premier hotel of Chelm, sadly, post-communism developments have overtaken it and left it in the dust. I've never left a hotel after one night there, but this place was an unfortunate choice (and yes, I did check the tripadvisor reviews before booking). It has two things going for it, its close to the city center, and the 5th floor offers quite a view of the city. The room was hotter than a furnace, even after leaving the window completely open for the whole night. The hairdryer we could never figure out... Chelm has far better hotels to offer as we quickly found out. Ow, it might have a third thing going for it: if you want the feel and smell of an communist-era hotel, go for it.
