I stayed at Kanchan Creation Hotel in Maheshwar and had a very disappointing experience. From the outside, the hotel looks nice, but once you enter, you realize it’s an old, poorly maintained property. Dust is everywhere, curtains and furnishings look dull, and the rooms do not match the bright photos shown on MakeMyTrip.
Here’s what I faced:
• Unhygienic Room: On check-in, the ground floor room I was given looked old and dirty. When I opened the curtain, I noticed the door was not closing properly, making it unsafe. As a solo woman traveler, this was extremely uncomfortable.after request they change the room but below issue are were there
• Dirty Washroom: The bathroom was in a terrible condition – unflushed toilet, hair in the basin, dirty cupboard below the sink with old soaps, and overall unhygienic.
• Poor Room Condition: AC unit was broken, bedsheets didn’t look fresh, and nothing gave a clean or welcoming feeling.
• Unsafe Atmosphere: The property felt deserted, which made me feel very unsafe. At night, I heard only men’s voices in the hall and no sign of other women guests, which added to the discomfort. The rooms also lacked proper security from inside.
• False Impression: Photos on booking sites are misleading – they might be of the same rooms, but in reality, the property is dull, old, and unhygienic.
• Food: Dinner was okay, and the owner was polite while talking, but that doesn’t make up for the unhygienic and unsafe conditions.
Overall, the hygiene level is below zero and safety for women travelers is a big concern. This was one of the dirtiest and most uncomfortable hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially solo women travelers.
