We had a nice private Room. The Staff is a little bit confused sometimes. The Food is good. Be careful while going out on the river with a Kajak. On one sidearm of the river is a very aggressive Dog which jumped in the water an chased after us.

Beautiful accommodation at an affordable price. The team are all very friendly as are the other guests. It was low season and nice and quiet. The Kayak does have a rental cost, the website is out of date as the business is no longer owned by an Australian. Affordable beer and food. Communication to be picked up from Rio Dulce was very clear on WhatsApp.

Some of the employees were NOT having a good time it seemed, but at least one was. The room missed a mosquitonet even though we explicitly asked for one on arrival. We eventually got one with holes in it when we pressed. Also the roof was leaking on the bed.

Really nice place, friendly people. Only reachable by boat, as most places on the Rio Dulce. Great for a few nights, you can relax, swim and do some activities around town like going to the fort or the hot springs. Note that when you book the boat to Livingston at the hotel, (in my case) it might be a slower one that also does some sight seeing and takes a break and can take up to 2 to 2,5 hours. I actually liked this, but if you are in a hurry, you might want to book a boat at the Rio Dulce docks.

Lovely backpacker hostal on an inlet from the Rio Dulce and close to town with free launches several times a day. Surrounded by jungle and on the water's edge, with decking walkways and terraces to relax and eat on, you feel immersed in nature. We spent 3 very relaxing days here, the food was great, the beers were affordable and the staff were attentive and great fun. This is a nice place to meet other travellers and plan onward travel in Guatemala and adjoining countries. A very nice place to spend a few days and we loved it.

Muchas Gracias Brandon and familia (including cat and dog) for an outstanding stay. The place is simply a delight, and you are well looked after. The location is perfect to relax. Q90 for a dorm bed, which comes with a mosquito net and blanket. No bunks, which is awesome! The facilities are clean. They are super responsive on whatsapp and very helpful for any advice that you need. From regular scheduled boat rides to affordable kayak rental (mangroves, Río Dulce, San Felipe Castle) and delicious affordable food. This place is amazing! This is a MUST VISIT when in Rio Dulce!

We had such a great time here. The place is situated on a awesome location. The staff is super friendly, the bungalow (nr9) had everything we needed and their food is tasty and really fantastic. Would recommend it to everyone.

A lovely retreat 10 mins by boat from the bustle and fumes of Rio Dulce. Nice staff, great food, kayaks to rent for a pittance. Not suitable for small kids as the huts are over water. Lots of wildlife and noisy birds and Cockerels! You can fish off the Quay if you have any gear, just watch out for the cat!
