Hotel Kansas City is a downtown gem that perfectly blends historic charm with modern luxury—making it a standout choice for weddings with lots of out-of-town guests who want everything in one spot. From a photographer’s perspective, this venue offers incredible variety. The rooftop patio is perfect for ceremonies or cocktail hours with sweeping city views and beautiful natural light, while the Tudor Room ballroom delivers stunning architecture, dramatic stained glass, and an atmosphere that feels both grand and intimate. The mix of classic details and spacious layouts means every shot—from candid moments to editorial portraits—comes out effortlessly beautiful. Plus, having accommodations right on site is a huge bonus for couples and guests alike, making the whole wedding day feel seamless. If you want a downtown KC venue that combines convenience, gorgeous backdrops, and timeless elegance, Hotel Kansas City is a fantastic pick.

Room was nice and clean. Had plenty of room. There was a board by the bathroom that has a big lip on it, so be careful going in and out to not stub your toes. There was no view, except of pipes, disappointed in that. Parking garage is a few doors down before you get here. You can ark out front and check in then go park if you want. Lots of things to do within walking distance.

Hotel Kansas City is an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, everything felt elevated and intentional. The design and atmosphere are stunning—historic character with modern luxury touches. Traveling with my 165 pound Newfoundland dog, Georgie, can be tricky, but the hotel welcomed us with warmth and ease. Having a rooftop dog park just a few blocks away was such a thoughtful bonus the hotel staff shared with me. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, yet still feels like a retreat. Coffee and food on property were exceptional, making mornings effortless and indulgent. Truly a boutique experience that balances charm, comfort, and sophistication. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious stay in Kansas City.

This hotel is beautiful and the location was perfect for our time in Kansas City. The convention center, KC Live and the Arena are all short walks. The staff was very attentive and friendly with the exception of one (multiple times). We stayed 5 days, so we were around the property on and off quite a bit. We knew the room was going to slightly smaller, but the location of the room was odd. It was on the back side of the building, which was quiet, but the room was dark as there was only one small window tucked in the corner behind the television. Valet was always quick and they were very helpful with our bags. One additional oddity was the hotel still charges an in room dining fee when you order from their online ordering site for self pickup.

Hotel Kansas City is a true gem. This hotel is absolutely stunning and right in the heart of the city. They were so accommodating to both myself and 165 pound Newfoundland dog, Georgie, which made the stay extra special. There’s even a rooftop dog park just a few blocks away—such a bonus for traveling with pets!||||The atmosphere is beautiful, the coffee and food are excellent, and the whole experience felt effortless. Highly recommend—10/10!

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed. Staff is very attentive. Valet opens the doors to the hotel for kind of attentive. Lobby management was excellent. Check in was smooth and made me feel like a vip. I asked if they had a fan by chance and they did, they also brought my wife another blanket. The rooms are very nice and the shower in the king room was so nice aesthetically and great water pressure. Bed was very comfy. Very clean. Room service was good too. Great menu. The breakfast market in the lobby was very tasty and had great coffee. Location is excellent and hard to beat. You can walk to a bunch of stuff under a mile. Most of it's a quarter mile or less. Chiefs stadium was only 15 minutes away.

This is truly one of the most magnificent hotels in the world. Too many details to mention. One of kind lobby and chandelier that is 6 floors. Living and breathing history is an understatement here. Presidents and royalty have stayed here. You can feel it. A must stay in KC. Service is top notch. Hyatt and the staff here are remarkable. This is a property to truly be proud of and experience. Most of the interior is original and of the early 1920s. Limestone sourced from quarries around the area. This is a special place. Tremendous wedding venue too. It looked like the place to be for sure on Saturday night. I look forward to staying again. Valet is pricey but it’s downtown and they make it easy. They work hard.
