Centrally located hostel in Helsingborg, Sweden, affordable price just for a overnight stay, big kitchen in the basement for self cooking. No need to pay extra for cosy dinner. You can cook and have dinner with other people together in the same dining area. Have lots of book to read. Complementary breakfast in such a budget price hotel. I have stayed cheapest hotel in such good location but so wonderful breakfast included.

The receptionist was lovely. Friendly. I’m here with my daughter before heading to Cyprus. The rooms basic but ok comfy bed . But the breakfast omg disappointing. The bacon was off the service shocking. What happened to being polite? It states breakfast served until 10am at 9.45 am they had turned it all off and taking it all away whilst we were eating !!!!!!!!!!!! I work a lot and these days I get with my daughter i cherish so I do expect service with a smile not to be ushered out and rushed at my breakfast

We received a friendly welcome when we checked in. It is an older building in the center of Helsingborg. Just 4 min walk to the ferries to Helsingör. Plenty with restaurants in the surroundings. Our room was clean and had a quite new interior. The decoration was actually very attractive and made us feel good. Beds was comfortable. There was no instructions to TV channels? Did not find any International channels. Outside the room there was a hut with a fan. It was noisy during the day. Fortunately it was turned off during the night. There was also an outside seating area outside the room. That was used by other guest for having a glass of beer or wine that possible had been purchased in Denmark during the day. That continued to 00:20.....

Right across from the railroad station and the ferry terminal, so a good choice for those traveling by train or ferry. Some would call it old-fashioned, but that's fine by me when you can throw your windows wide open, and when you get hot water radiators instead of finnicky and noisy air conditioning systems that constantly blow air through the room. ||||The breakfast was good, plenty of choice. ||||This hotel is value for money at the price I (well, my employer) paid. ||||And oh, Tripadvisor, listen up! This hotel is located in Sweden. There are no mask mandates, never have been. So no need to ask questions about mask rules and temperature checks.

First impression: stinky carpet, very unpleasure reception, I didn’t feel welcome to hotel at all! |Room: same as shown on picture but... bathroom are very old, bed very small, you have to carry very heavy room key due to ur stay here! Very old fashion, room and whole hotel screaming for update and refreshing! |Breakfast: its ok.. just OK! Stuff looks very stressful and unfriendly! |Very expensive hotel for value you are offered! Put extra 500-800. SEK and enjoy your stay in some better hotel!

Due to a business conference in Helsingborg (which otherwise is beautiful city) my colleagues and I stayed at First Hotel Karnan. ||For starters it wasn’t as well known a hotel as I would’ve expected, a fact I became aware of when not even the cab driver knew of it. ||The hotel is a 3 star hotel but a bit more old fashioned and not the new build type of hotels. It reminds more of an apartment complex from the 70’s made into a hotel with little to no renovation other than bathrooms. |The hotel has 5 floors and rooms in variable sizes equipped with a desk a tv and twin beds. The bigger rooms have a balcony, a living room with a couch and another tv and a dining table. There’s free wifi with good enough speed to stream tv shows. ||Negatives:|- No AC|- No keycards but traditional keys that have big and heavy metallic keychains|- You have to leave the key at the reception any time you’re leaving the hotel (part of their policy)|- No safe in the hotel rooms |- No gym|- Good breakfast but small range of choices|- One elevator that was small (about 1,5m x 1,5m)|- Cheap rooms for around 1000kr per night or slightly below. ||Positives:|- Friendly staff|- Comfortable twin beds|- Bus stop right outside the hotel main entrance and Helsingborg central station (where all busses go from) across the street. |- Closeness to the marina (about 100m)|- They have a sauna at reception floor

We booked two standard rooms sleeping 3 people for a 2 night stay in July. The hotel is directly across the road from the railway station, which made it very handy for us arriving by train. We had rooms at the front of the hotel overlooking the road and station, and although noise from trains was not a problem noise from the busy road certainly was. It is a main road through the town, hence the noise. With no A/c in the room we had to sleep with the windows open which made for an interesting nights sleep! The room itself was clean and comfortable and perfectly acceptable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice both hot and cold. All the staff we met were friendly and efficient. This hotel is ideal if arriving/departing Helsingborg by train and I would stay again, perhaps next time having a room at the back!
