My wife & I stayed in this hotel back in March '24 and I've been meaning to write a review ever since, because they deserve to receive another very positive one. We are Americans but I've visited and stayed in Germany many times in the distant past. One of the great things about Germany are its hotels. I was very happy to have a chance to visit this one because it was as nice as the many I stayed at in the past. It brought back a lot of really good memories. This one is very reasonably priced, it's very well located, the rooms are quite nice and confortable and the service is EXCELLENT. I also recommend dining in their restaurant where the food and service were also excellent. While there, we needed to by tickets to ride on a Polish train to Warsaw. The on-line financial interaction to get the tickets was complicated, so we asked for help at the front desk. The two people at the front desk both spent at least 15-20 minutes helping us as we figured out how to do it on-line. I really felt they went WAY BEYOND what a guest might expect for service. We were very grateful for their assistance on this matter and generally really enjoyed out three-night stay here. We hope to visit here again, as Berlin is a very interesting place to visit and this is a great hotel at which to stay while here!

Very nice hotel. A bit old fashioned, high quality and very charming. A spacious room with good beds and perfect heating on a chilly October day. The staff is friendly and efficient.

I stayed here for a couple of nights, and I have absolutely no complaints. Centrally located, incredibly friendly staff, cozy and clean rooms. Highly recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights. Overall ok, spacious room, nice neighborhood, but cheap pillows, and I was woken around 7 am by sounds from the room above, presumably a family with toddlers staying there.

Lovely place to stay in Berlin. Nice neighborhood with nice restaurants, coffee shops, etc around. Hotel has history and is very well appointed, with wonderful restaurant on site (authentic German cuisine). Stayed in a suite room with 3- very comfortable for all of us. Will definitely return. No complaints at all.

This hotel was just perfect for my needs in Berlin.||Located well with two tram lines just outside the door or subway lines just a short walk down the hill. With the help of Google maps, and the tourist transit pass, I had no problem getting anywhere I wanted to go throughout the day.||The room faced the street, but was quiet enough so that I never felt annoyed at the tram, auto or pedestrian traffic. The bathroom was modern and the bed comfortable. Temperature adjustments with the radiators was easy and efficient. At the time of my visit, I felt no need for air conditioning. The lift was very efficient getting me to and from reception to my room.||The staff was fiendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was attended to each day with a refresh...bed made, bathroom cleaned up, trash emptied. The mini bar was stocked and reasonably priced, if I was so inclined. All I purchased was bottled water and it was priced lower than the convenience stores along the street.||I took advantage of their laundry service and got all of my garments back, cleaned and folded at a fair price.||On my last day I sampled their breakfast service and was delighted with the selection of fruits, meats, cheeses, vegatables and smoked fish. Cereals, fresh pastries and breads? Check and check. Coffee and tea was offered as well. Just outstanding.||There are lots of various dining options on the street and also morning coffee shops as well. With a credit card and some cash, I never went hungry.||I was happy here, and made to feel welcome. It's a great neighborhood to base a Berlin visit.

This is a wonderful hotel in a prime location. Our room was spacious, quiet, and well-equipped. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet was well worth the the 15 euro charge. Tram stop just outside the hotel. Great value for money, would stay here again.

Definitely enjoyed our stay here and overall would recommend. The location is terrific; we wandered around the neighborhood quite a bit and just absolutely loved it. We had a 4th floor room, which included a balcony facing the street and it was fantastic. The large sliding door was soundproofed quite well. Daily cleaning service was great, the room really felt clean. Also plenty of shelving for storage. The only negatives I have are 1) the person that checked us in didn't seem very helpful at all, almost like we were an annoyance. Other staff we encountered were pleasant. 2) The bed. Really pretty uncomfortable. If you like a super soft mattress, then maybe it's OK. But for a "double bed" it's two separate single bed cushions which had the firmness of a couch cushion, along with a two soft mattress toppers (about 2 inches). If rolling over during the night you kind of somewhat fell in between them. 3) Really poor water pressure in the shower. But other than those 3 things, I would recommend. They were not a deal breaker.

Yelp
Disappointed as several people had recommended this hotel. The problem was that we were in a room one floor above the back door to the kitchen where staff were in conversation--sometimes with guests-- most evenings and mornings. Given the weather was 90 F for our first days and there was no air conditioning we needed the windows left open. After the second night I couldn't sleep I asked if we could change rooms for the remaining four nights. The woman at the desk who I assume is the owner not only said in an abrupt manner that it was not possible. This is not a small hotel. I find it hard to believe they couldn't change us for at least two non-weekend nights. Though other rooms looked nicer than ours I give the hotel one star for the poor hospitality.

Yelp
This hotel has nice people and a good breakfast. The only problem is there terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE wifi. They have tried to assist, but it is clear that only a few guests at a time could use it. If you need to be on the internet then this is NOT the place to stay. The laundry down the street and coffee shop next door has better wifi. If they just fixed that part of the stay they would have 5 stars.
