We opted for an economy room. We stayed for two nights.||Arrived late at night, check in efficient. ||Our room was clean, but was dated. Two single beds against the wall (so facing each other). One had a power socket nearby, the other did not. ||There was a table beside each bed. Another table the other side of the room with a TV on which I unplugged to charge my phone. ||There's also a small unit to hang clothes.||The curtains are very thin and let all the light in, in the morning.||Complimentary water was provided but no facilities to make a drink.||The bathroom was small, and you have to hold the shower head in your hand to wash yourself over the bath. There's a shower curtain too. However the water was hot and powerful. They also provided two small soaps and shower gels.||The breakfast had a decent selection of cheese and meats, some scrabble egg and sausage and some salads and accompniments. The fruit selection looked poor and dry and the pastrys were also a little dry. Coffee was good. We certainly ate enough to leave feeling ready for the day.||Location is very good to set off and explore the city and enjoy the great selection of bars and restaurants.||Rooms could do with a refresh, but other than that we still had an enjoyable time

A great hotel, very clean with enormous rooms. The hotel from the outside looks quite dated and although the rooms are not modern, they are well kept and in good condition. Only 4 stars as the room I had didn't have a shower but had a spa bath and 2 toilets. I would definitely stay here again. Excellent value, and a very short walk to the main square.

Perfect central location, 10 min walk to railway station, rooms large and clean. Bathroom a bit dated, but clean and powerful shower! Continental breakfast, good selection. Would certainly stay again. Hotel has been updated, it is clean and spacious.

One of the best hotels I've been to. It was my first time in Poland and I really liked Hotel Katowice. They serve the guests well in the restaurant, they clean the rooms, it is always clean in the corridors and it looks beautiful. Friendly staff. I recommend!

Brilliant hotel, everything you need and nothing you don't. The items from the past era either still work well or have been replaced with new ones. So it's old but in a good shape, vintage - not outdated. Excellent location, great views of the city, a huge choice for breakfast in a newly refurbished dining area, very reasonable prices. Always my default choice when staying in Katowice!

We stayed two nights in the hotel and had the breakfast. The room we were in was large and the beds were comfortable and we slept well. The hotel is very good value and much better than many hotels I have stayed in around the world. It is basic but clean and soap and shampoo is provided. The breakfast is good and varied including hot and cold options.

I spent a night here in a single room. It was fine, i had no complaints. The room was small but had obviously been renovated, It was clean and i slept well.||||The staff at reception spoke English and were all very helpful.||||Breakfast buffet had a large choice of cereals, fruit, cheese and cold meats.||||Location is very central, it took me about 10 minutes to walk from the train station.||||If i return to Katowice i will definitely stay here again. Its not luxury but central and good value.

Nice hotel. Purposely outdated, it reminded us of post war communism times. The hotel itself is good. My only critisism is the bathroom, you are unable to shower while standing up unless you keep the shower head in your hand. Overall great location for the price. Staff was very friendly and helpfull (Review based on economy room)

Yelp
Can't go wrong here if you are into really old school. Funky rooms with no carpet and a little TV from the 70's. Pricing is really cheap. Stayed here for one night on May 18, 2016 as we needed a place close to the Theater Slaski and this seemed to be the closest. Had 2 double beds ( actually they ended up being two single beds) because they are really small but comfortable. Size of room is a bit bigger than the average IBIS hotel but not by much. Hotel is so old you still get a real key to your door. All the reservations are still done on paper. It's like they are still in the last century somewhere. Breakfast was a HUGE spread and free. Parking lot seems quite small and runs about $20/ day. We got lucky to find a spot in the lot at about 3 P.M. Any later, who knows. Would stay again if in the area. Total for one weekday including parking and breakfast for 2 came to $65.00. Hard to beat for the price.
