Hotel Katrca 1905

We stayed here in 2019. BEAUTIFUL HOTEL!!! Everything was absolutely perfect! Staff were friendly. Room was luxurious! Breakfast was delicious!! I have very fond memories of this hotel. And there is also a supermarket just across the road.

Very unpleasant stay. We (3 families with kids) arrived in mid August with 34 degrees outside. Rooms were hot so we wanted to turn on the AC. In one room the smell coming out from the AC Was horrible - the small of mold. In my room the AC machine was visibly very very dirty, not clenaed for a long time. I didn't dare to even turn it on since my kid has asthma and it cold seriously harm him. I contacted the Manager, the other family were given small ventilator machine, it did not give any cold. I had to stay one night ( very hot and sweaty) but decided to leave before second, it was impossible to stay. Pretty unpleasant Manager refused to reimburse me for the second night and was arguing that AC was cleaned. Well, look at the picture. Besides that the shower cabin was broken In friends room and our fringe was smelling horrible. Dirty, filthy place. Breakfest with rather 'Day before yesterday' food.

Its situated in quiet part of the city but also just a few bus stops or 20 to 30 minutes walk back from the center! Tivoli park is a street away💖 overall location is amazing Room was very nice and cozy, we had everything we needed! The staff is very kind. This place also has its pizzeria and as for breakfast its nice but not many options- you have filter coffee, water and juice, a lot of pastries, oats and cornflakes, butter and jam and for the savory options- scrambled and cooked eggs, cheese, chacuterie. Overall nice but we missed a bit of fresh salad and some healthier options :) Besides that all recommendations!!! Thank you for your welcome and lovely stay

We were in room 5 and it smelled a lot of mold 🥺 You could also see it in the doorway. Maybe the other rooms are better, I don't know. But say that you don't want room no 5. They have a small safety box but it's not attached so you can take it out and leave with it, so no use of that. The compressor on the refrigerator sounds like it's going to break. The bathroom towels is so small so it's more of a towel to dry your hands and not for your whole body. The breakfast is not good either, it is very small. On Sunday the restaurant was closed so you need to travel into town to get something to eat. Taxi take 10 min and the bus took like 10-12 min.

The hotel is surrounded in a peaceful and green area of Ljubljana, close to park Tivoli. The people working in hotel and testaurant are amazing, very kind and helpful. There is an outstanfing pizzeria, Neapolitanian style. I higly recommend it
